i was thinking about this lately and will pretty much get rejected but ill gonna suggest it anyways why ditto is so rare i mean i understand the legendaries but why ditto what makes it so special so what i want is to change its rarity into rare or hard and make it catchable in route 53 and can be hunted.

I think it's so rare for a reason. Like, so players, not necessarily have it harder, but have it more challenging to get certain Pokemon. If you get what I mean XD

Also ditto needs to be so rare since it has the ability to breed with any pokemon in this game (If ditto works like it does in the real games)

Personally I like the idea of possibly being able to run into it on route 53. (At a lower chance than the event Slowpoke is able to be found).

This way the users who don't have the time to lab-stalk all day for such a low chance at finding a Ditto still have a slim chance to get one while keeping it rare and still being up to several factors. (Since it's really easy to miss a Pokémon being at the tree, you might not be able to catch it with the pokéballs you have, things like that.)

No support. Ditto are more rarer cause you can breed genderless pokemons with it and also it can be breeded with any pokemon so if ditto was common then shiny hunting would be easier since you only need to have a male or a female of a pokemon species to start a hunt. Dittos are rare for a reason.

i also like the idea of running into it at route 53 the same reason as shade. it would keep it rarer and give a 2nd way for people to get it if they dont like going into the lab.

Ugh, I know how you feel. Honestly, I really don't like lab stalking, since Premium Users will probably be the ones to get it, anyway. I like DemonShade's idea and would like to present my own. I'm not sure if this is possible already, but I haven't seen anybody do this, so I think it's not:

What if the Ditto eggs appear at the Gem Collector (for people who own it, maybe?) for say 1,000 Normal Gems. That way, they're still Rare, but there's still the chance to get them through other methods besides lab stalking.

EDIT: Changing number of gems to possibly 6,000.

Umm.. Diana, An Articuno egg costs 2500 ice and 2500 flying gems at the gem collector and Ditto is rarer so I don't think that it is fair!

I like Diana's idea with the Gem Collector, most people would just buy their way through to get the gems.

And as for route 53, I'm neutral about this because Dittos are supposed to be hard to get. Since it can breed with almost anything, it makes it easy to hunt genderless shinies.

You can get Articuno in GC once you got Articuno via lab or trading. (So do Zapdos and Moltres)

Lol Diana, Well as you can see you need to have 2500 electric and 2500 flying gems to get another Zapdos so I think the ditto should cost 5000 normal gems!

They would have been living in the lab for them, and their effort just goes away.
I think the ditto owners wouldn't feel good for this idea.

5000 is still quite low. Seeing how common they are, and that so many people have them. I could easily get my self 5000 in less than a month. But back to the main suggestion.

No support. Ditto's are rare in the games, why should they not be rare here? This game is pretty much based of the original Pokemon games.
They can be breed with any Pokemon with an egg group. Meaning you would have the ability to hunt rare genderless/one gender Pokemon, or just breed them in general. If Ditto's were made more common, these Pokemon won't be as rare as they should be.

And the suggestion about it appearing at the Route 53. It wouldn't really make sense since Ditto doesn't generally appear at/in tree's in the original games. Pokemon which like Honey, which are Grass, or bug types, appear at the tree. I don't think a normal type would be interested in honey :b It wouldn't really make sense. I know Aipom is a normal type, but it's a monkey. xD

But really, this sounds more like a complaint than a suggestion.
If you want Ditto that badly, stalk the lab.

5,000 is not low. Yeah, they're easy to get now, but they won't be if this is implemented. Stalking the lab won't help if you're not premium. The only way a regular user is going to have a chance at getting one is if they get lucky with just collecting random eggs early.

Toothless, you're reason are...how do I say this xP I understand the Honey Tree one, but what exactly is wrong with the Gem Collector one? From Rumbling alone, it took me months to get 300 normal gems... And I won't even be able to get one because only those with a Ditto would be able to. So?
