Kinoko sighed, sitting inside the cold cave he had stumbled apon
the night before. Shifting into a sitting position his gaze fell on
a large white blob in front of him. His crimson eyes flashing
widely at the creature before remembering the creature from the
night before, how it had saved him from falling into a myths trap.
He eased in his spot and rubbed his temples.
'Morning human.' Came the foxes faint voice in his head, it was
calming to hear.
"H-Hello." He blinked slightly, looking over the large white fox.
He slowly stood up, dusting himself off as he glanced outside the
cave. "Are you alone too?" He asked quietly, eyes moving back to
the mythical animal.
'Like most of use here, I suppose so.' Came the voice once more, it
felt like a soft fog clouding his mind each time it entered.
"Well- I'm on a journey... I don't know what for... I just have
this feeling. And I'd love to not die before I even begin." Kin
chuckles nervously, seemingly comforted by the foxes presence.
"so, what is your choice, human?" The voice whispered.
"Befriending you, obviously." He said. Okay then, human. i trust
you" The shadow revealed it's self. It looked as it was a
literal shadow, a monster of some sort. "hop on." The shadow
beckoned softly. "Wait, what do you mean 'hop on'?" The shadow
picked Bert up, and started flying 1 kilometre, (or 0.62 miles) off
the ground. The view was amazing.
'Might as well. Nothing interesting has happened these last
millennium.' Came the voice, hinted with curiosity. The figure
seemed to flow effortlessly and almost floating it seemed towards
the entrance.
Kin was surprised by the easy give in the creature did. "So what
are you? What's your name? I'm Kinoko." He said, daring to move out
a hand as his sight was blurred with a pale blue ball of fire that
appeared near him.
'Azzo is the easiest to remember. I'm a Kitsune Fox - one of the
last few I'm afraid.' Came the soft reply, the ball of light
floated away and around the foxes neck.
"so i need some answers from you kid" The shadow says, as
they fly past many pine trees. "Alright... shoot away." Bert
replied.
"first, what brings you to our domain anyways?"
"I was trying to find the myths, so maybe we could put an end to
this madness" "ah, i see."
"Anything else?" "does anyone you know, know about you wandering off, by your
own?"
"Not that I know of, no." "okay then. thank you"
The shadow and Bert were still airborne. "are those your human
friends?" The shadow pointed at the tiny specks on the ground.
"Wow, I didn't know that others came to befriend the myths too..."
Bert exclaimed. The shadow started circling the humans. "i'll
turn ourselves invisible, so we won't startle them."
"Good idea" Bert whispered. They couldn't be seen.
Krys, curiousity peaked, knelt down to look under the bush. Galaxy
trembled, but didnt flee as Krys stuck out a hand and pulled the
little fox into her arms.
Laura- "If you say so. Do I need any weapons? Of can you fight for
me?"
Mist- "I was made to serve my master. Since you are my master I'll
defend you. I can't be killed. We have company in the forest.
Several humans and myths. There are couple in the air right now."
He pointed up but there was nothing there.
"Must have been lonely." Whispered Kinoko, moving to stand next to
the fox, making out dark spiral markings that climbed halfway up
the foxes legs, and around the foxes multiple tail tips that seemed
to wave endlessly in the air around it. He was only slightly taller
then the fox myth, and being 6'3 was kind of amazing to him. He
reached out a hand, avoiding the balls of blue fire and laid it
across the back of the foxes neck, the muscles stiffening at the
touch then relaxing, the fur like silk gliding under his fingers as
he pet the mythical being beside him. "I'm glad you'll be joining
me." He smiled warmly to the fox.
Azzo let himself relax into the touch as he gazed into the forest
ahead. 'A pleasure I'm sure.' He replied to the human, his tail
twisting behind him, paws aching to run through the thick brambles
and over the running streams. Feeling Kinokos' hand leave him he
nudged into the humans side, heaving the blue balls of light to
circle around the front of his neck. 'Hop on. I know walking would
only take a while.' He chuckled outwardly to the human.
