Jack looked around. His whole body was on fire, while his family
killed each other around him, laughing all the while. "Laugh with
us, Jack! We just want to end your suffering! Laugh! Laugh!" Jack
obliged.
Magic walks out, and looks at Jack, sensing magic. She detects the
spell and immediately disables it, eyes going wide. "No one
deserves to see their worst fear!" She hisses, and for the first
time, there's notable anger in her voice.
Sam then turns invisible and walks out of the forest . He felt like
something evil was inside him. He would never do that spell to
someone even Jack. He then blacked out but could see himself
moving. What is happening? He wonders
Tiny bounded up to the river and waited for a fish. When one
finally swam past, she reached into the river and hooked a claw
into it, puling it to shore and ending its misery. She purred
proudly.
Jack woke. "And right when it was getting good." He knew he was
emotionally scarred, but he didn't care. Jack walked without
direction, hoping something interesting would happen.
Tiny felt the need to thank the fish. It did have a life before.
"Thanks, river, for giving up this fish. And thank you, fish, for
giving your life to fill my stomach." She then the fish, savoring
every bite.
Zorra follows Jack curiously, her claws sheathed to muffle her
pawsteps. Not that she needed to. She was sure he already knew she
was following, but she was not scared. She had not been truely
scared since she was a pup, and Jack was not going to change that.
Jack kept walking, listening for when Zorra would strike. He wanted
a fight, but did not want to initiate it. He heard what sounded
like laughter in the distance. Jack sprinted towards it. "Prey."
Was all that he could say.
Zorra perked too. It was her job to protect the human, but she also
was supposed to watch Jack. Well, I guess the humans only threat
IS Jack... She thinks. After a moment of hesitation, she
follows, shifting her legs so they're longer.
Jack bursts into a clearing, finally finding the source of the
laughter. A small human child is lying on the ground, its laughs
like the burbling of chocolate. "Looky at what we have here." Jack
pulled back his claws to end the little life, but something stopped
him. He looked at his hand, but nothing was there. 'Stop, Jack. It
is innocent.' Jack looks around wildly. "Who's there? Are you in my
head?" 'Yes, Jack. I am a voice in your head. the collective voice
of the ones you have killed. Do not kill this one.' Jack finally
stops, lowering his claw.
