This is a test to see their personalities and how they cope up with difficulties. Some ideas were fine but they've got no progress yet. You'll participate in the next test too." He says to Rafty.

Rachel told Jason "We don't need a compass we could just make our own on the basis of the direction of the rays of the sun it is pretty simple we just need a stick and a few stones and wait for the rays to fall on the stick and the direction the shadow is formed in is the shows us the directions we need to go."
