This is PRETTY simple and un-original but hey, might as well try.

DISCLAIMER: These islands aren't alola, Just more of just flat out islands. Kinda like the Orange Islands I guess. Alola pokemon are allowed though.

Plot:
You are a trainer from another region and have received a letter telling you about a few islands off the coast. Next thing you know you have a flight pass. Today is the day you arrive in this new section of islands. The letter from earlier tells you to meet at a small building.

Just have fun.
Shinies are allowed.
NO legends! (We have one exception.)

There was a pretty nice cruise from the Kanto region to the Johto Region to Sinnoh, then Hoenn, Unova, Kalos, Alola...then some unknown islands. Duo was from the Johto region, so he was sick of traveling, but he did have two Pokemon he got while visiting Alola to keep him company. One was a Lycanroc in its Midday form, a very loyal and playful Pokemon. The other was a Silvally he got from a shelter that had a pretty bad past, so it didn't like people very much, but it was thankful that Duo had adopted it as a Type: Null. Duo was pretty antisocial, so he sat in his room, waiting for the long trip to end, until he thought: the people on this trip would be the only ones he'd meet. He decided to go outside of his room and into a social area to meet more people.

Colt happened to be on the same cruise ship as Duo. He sat up on the deck simply enjoying the ocean view. Something about water had always been something he enjoyed. Beside him stood his turtonator, which he got about 5 years back as a going-away gift. Also beside him stood a mudbray. He had only recently gotten it. He had no intent on getting another pokemon but there he sat, with 2.

@Oto
Since I didn't specify in the rules, you'll be an acception when it comes to the whole legendary thing. Just don't go overboard with it. Shinies are also fine.

Amy was taking a walk around the boat, Passimian was on her shoulder, whilst Decidueye was flying high, enjoying the view around him. Amy noticed Colt, and gave him a friendly smile in an attempt to befriend him. Passimian was busy messing around with his melon to notice anything going on around him.

Amber stood up near the edge of the boat, enjoying the ocean view. Violet, a shiny Brionne, swam alongside the boat gracefully, which started to worry her trainer. "Ah! Violet, get back up here!", Amber called. The Brionne leaped out of the water and next to her trainer. Candy the Sylveon let her ribbons flow in the wind contently, while Sky the Salamence soared overhead. Flora, a Shaymin, was happy with staying inside their Pokeball. Amber turned her head over towards Amy and hesitantly decided to introduce herself.

Colt turned his head and stood. He extended his hand. "Nice to meet you, your name?" Suddenly mudbray started hopping around Amy. Colt stood for a moment and then suddenly spoke, "He must smell that melon." He was obviously a bit shocked by his pokemon's actions.
