She opened her eyes again, trying only to look at the flavorless white things in the area. Sadly, those were few.

Cress closed her eyes and tried to empty her mind but it was hard. She opened them again but only a bit of color had faded out. She closed them again and concentrated until all the emotion was gone. She opened her eyes again and now they were gray. She just had to keep them like that.

Flightmare noticed what Cress did and she smiled at her , it seems like she is saying good job but then she closed her eyes trying to tell Cress to be carefull so nobody notice her eyes She usually dont talk with those people . It seems like everything is going fine ...

She visualized a picture of a rainbow. Red is sweet, orange is salty, yellow is like Gatorade, green is spicy, blue is bitter, purple is unbearable... other... black is buttery, and white is nothing. she thought.

Cress smiled, which made her eyes turn a tiny bit yellow, but she quickly regained her focus. She turned away from their captors so they wouldn't see her eyes. Now all she had to do was wait and keep her focus.

Cress made sure not to do anything but blink and breathe, and even that was hard. She could already feel something....strange. It always happened when everything was just right for a time freeze...

Cress blinked twice quickly and her eyes went back to their normal blue. She had turned off her powers momentarily, just so the guards wouldn't see anything. The only thing was she would have to regain her gray eyes again. Ugh...
