"You need to stay calm in the heat of a battle" Falkner said kindly and gave her advice "so keep your cool, and your Pokemon will to in battle" he said Pidgeotto nodded and waited for his opponent.

Tiger walked back toward the gym. Dusk was looking around the town Tiger looked at Dusk. "We can explore more later. For now let's watch Heart's battle" Tiger said to Dusk kindly. The Pokemon nodded and looked at the gym.

(A Hoppip she caught.)

Heart nodded, and calmed down. Bloom got up, and looked at her trainer.
"Bloom, use growl!" Heart says. Bloom growls at Pidgeotto.

Is she seriously using growl when her Pokemon is about to faint? Soul thought, amused.

Falkner blinked, and wondered her strategy. Pidgeotto lost some of his attack when he heard the growl. "Wing attack once more" Falkner said. Pidgeotto nodded and flew at Bloom quickly.

Victor looks at the growl move, impressed at the risk. He had tried to perfect cyndaquil's Overheat, but it was not successful.

Maybe if I used Growl enough I could weaken his attacks alot.. Heart thought. Bloom used Growl again, before being hit by Wing attack. Bloom fainted. Heart sighs and returns Bloom and looks at her Pokeball. "Thank you. Your efforts will help Fluffy." She says softly, before putting the Pokeball away, and getting out her next one. "Go Fluffy!" She threw the Pokeball, and the hoppip came out.

"So she caught a hoppip.." Soul mutters. "Not going to be much help though.."

Tiger finally managed to make it back he then heard Soul. "All Pokemon can make an effort it doesn't matter about type disadvantages" he said softly. "All that matters is how the Pokemon were trained" he stated. Falkner overheard and nodded "the boy's right, and Pidgeotto is down two for attack, but Fluffy can go first" he said kindly with a nod to Heart.

"That is true.." Soul says to Tiger. "But it looks like she hasn't even trained the Hoppip yet. I can tell."

Heart looked back at Soul and Tiger. "I can do this!" She says.
She looked at Hoppip. "Um.. give me a second.." She uses the Pokedex to find what moves Fluffy has at the moment. Splash, Synthisis and Seed bomb. (Egg move.) She wondered what Splash does.

"Use Splash!" Heart says. Fluffy gave her a questioning look, and used Splash. Nothing happened.

Soul face palmed.

Falkner sighed slightly "I don't want to faint your final Pokemon, especially if it has barely any training." He said sternly to Heart. Pidgeotto looked at Fluffy amused at the splash attack. He then sighed "but I'm a gym leader, so...Pidgeotto use gust" he said with a sigh.

I over estimated myself.. Maybe I should forfeit... No! I am not going down without a fight. Heart thought. "Fluffy, dodge it!" She said.
Fluffy dodged the attack, and flew up. "Seed bomb!" Fluffy used seedbomb. It spread throughout the arena. "If I'm going down, it won't be without a fight!"

Ron had been looking at the sounds from the gym from outside, and finally enters, having a croconaw, and bayleef on his side.
"Wow. Two starter Pokemon in their second stage at the first stage..." Victor mutters, he then remembers his manners. He then shakes hands with Ron. "Hi, I'm Victor, and you?"
"I'm Ron." Ron replies. He was staring at Blaze, who was cheering for Heart. He notices the flame mark on his forehead. The bayleef also had a leaf symbol on her forehead.
"From where did you get his Cyndaquil?" Ron asks Victor.

Falkner nodded and looked at Pidgeotto "try and dodge" he said Pidgeotto nodded and attempted to dodge the best he can. "Use wing attack" Falkner said quickly. Pidgeotto nodded and flew down he was breaking some of the seed bomb with his wings.

Fluffy is hit by the wing attack, and her health was very low. She and Heart both knew that they were going down. But it didn't matter, they were going to go through the whole battle. Fluffy flew up again. "Seed bomb again!"

Soul also noticed the Pokemon with the strange markings.

Victor then looks nervous at Blaze's mention. "I got him from Elm." He lied. Ron nods.
Croconaw, and Bayleef look at Fluffy, Bayleef was supporting Heart, since she had seen Bloom faint. But Croconaw was on Falkner's side, since he valued Pokemon with better moves.

Tiger looked over and recognized the strange markings on the Pokemon arent those the Pokemon Elm was studying he thought to himself but shook off.

Pidgeotto was hit, but still had some hp left. "Use gust" Falkner said softly. Pidgeotto nodded and used a gust attack on the Pokemon.

Fluffy is hit by the gust, and ended up fainting. Heart returned her before she dropped to the ground.

Bayleef tries to lift Heart with her wines, and sends out a smell to bring happiness to Heart.
"Why do you do that.." Croconaw mutters to Bayleef.

Falkner returned Pidgeotto and went to Heart. "That was a good battle, but I think you should train more" he said kindly. Tiger blinked as he remembered the attacks he then instantly thought of the contest he'd seen on tv when he was at home.

Heart nodded. "Thank you. I went into this battle a bit too overconfident, and I didn't really do much training. I now understand that I shouldn't rush into things." She looked at the bayleef lifting her up, and smiled.

Bayleef makes Heart stand, and then takes back her vines.
