Here in the
EAM, we specialize
in featuring artwork
(with credit) and
art shops (with permission).
We also give tips and tricks,
for those people who are new
to digital art, and also traditional art.
If you would
like something removed,
please contact one
of the staff
and we will take it down ASAP.
Thank you!

To get featured, all you have to do is
send one of the staff your drawing(s) and or your art shop, for a
small fee of 500PD.
We will then update the thread ASAP. We change the featured every
MONDAY , WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY .
So please, send us your drawings at those days, PH time!

● Today I'll be talking about the wonderful ●
● starter program known as... ●
MS Paint!
Now, most of you know what MS Paint is, but for those of you that
don't know, MS Paint stands for Microsoft Paint. As the title
suggests, it usually comes with all Windows computers. MS Paint is
a good beginner Art Program because it has all the basic tools a
beginner digital artist could need, and because it is very good for
making pixels/sprites on!
My Opinions:
To me, MS Paint shows some beginner signs. For example, the
background isn't transparent, so it usually has a huge white
background behind whatever you've drawn (which looks a bit ugly in
my opinion). Now, some people might tease you for using MS Paint by
saying: "MS Paint noob!" "Wow, you don't know how to draw!" "MS
Paint is a BEGINNER software!"
But, just remember, if you like to draw with MS Paint, no one can
stop you. Just believe in yourself! Most people have started with
MS Paint, so you can ask a lot of people about tips!
And that concludes my article on MS Paint! Remember, if you
like what you see, be sure to tune in next week!

● When starting off an art piece, you should ● probably sketch what
you think you're doing first. When you're done your sketch,
lowering the opacity of the layer will give you a much
cleaner look when
● you do your line work! ●
● When you start colouring, don't just put the ● colour first.
Fill the area with a bright colour and fill in the spots
that the fill bucket couldn't reach. It's really ● helpful if you
are using a transparent bg! ●
● T R A D I T I O N A L ●
● When drawing traditionally, sketch the guidelines ● as
light as possible. So that way, when you have everything
sketched, you can simply erase the
● guidelines. ●
● When you're colouring your traditional drawing, ● lay down the
base colour, and use your shading colour. To mix them, lightly
colour the shading with
● the base colour. ●

● Please don't try to draw everything in one layer ● QWQ
(Unless it's a challenge, then that's fine ^^)
But please don't when it's not an art challenge! It
● just looks messy, and just plain lazy. ●
● Please don't make a character have too many ● colours! It just
hurts the eyes and isn't 'realistic' at all! Please calm down on
those herra rainbow Oc's
● >.> ●
● T R A D I T I O N A L ●
● Please try to colour inside the lines and try to fill ● them in
as much as possible! It just annoys me how people just lazily
colour and scribble over the picture- ● >-< ●

Staff
Waffle: Welcome everyone! Today we're interviewing Lillypie ! What art do you
do?
Lillypie(Lilly): I do spiriting and traditional :3
Artzy: When did you start doing digital and traditional
art?
Lilly: I have been doing traditional for 6 years, and spriting for
about 6 months.
Waffle: What struggles have you been through when doing
art?
Lilly: Well, in traditional, I quite often have to erase and start
over. In spriting, I have trouble sometimes getting the proportions
correct.
Waffle: What advice do you have for people new to spriting
and drawing traditionally?
Lilly: Spriting: PROPORTION IS KEY! Always try to make the sprites
realistic sizes, and NEVER RESIZE!
Traditional: TAKE YOUR TIME! Especially if you want something truly
realistic.
Waffle: If someone needs advice, criticism, or needs
something drawn for them, how should they contact you?
Lilly: PalPad or PM! :3
Waffle: Can you show us some examples of your spriting and
traditional art?
Lilly: This is
just a basic recolor :3
I drew this last
week
Waffle: What do you think of the EAM and would you recommend
it to your friends?
Lilly: Sure!
Waffle: That was Lillypie everyone! Please give
her nice PMs and PalPad messages! Make sure to read next week's
newspaper to see the next interview!
So please consider SUBSCRIBING to this thread for the latest news
in Art! Thank you!
