Zane was walking down the sidewalk, eager to get "home." His battery was low, and he needed to recharge. He was speed-walking, running against the crowd of humans going the opposite way. "Battery low... 15%" His systems said. "Crap..." he muttered, walking even faster.

Nym was leaning against a building wall, staring at the crowd of humans in front of her. She pulled her hood down farther over her face as she studied each person carefully, putting her hands in her pockets after her hood was down.

"Energy save mode activated." His systems said. He continued to speed-walk against the crowd ignoring the human girl against the wall, spectating the world around her. "Battery critically low.. 11%" "Damn it all." he muttered, he couldn't just shut down in front of this large group of humans. If he did they'd take him to what they call a "hospital". He'll never be able to charge himself, and he'd just sit there. Being the pile of metal he is.

Nym noticed the quick movement of the man in the crowd, lifting her head. She had a look of curiosity spread across her face as she studied him. He seems so.. worried about something. She thought as she stood up straight. She was having trouble deciding if she wanted to approach him or just leave it be, but she couldn't shake the thought away.

Launchi- self-defense mechanism shutting down. Target is of no threat. No hostile actions detected." His systems said. "Battery critically low.. 8%" "Crap..- b-battery c-critically l-low.." he stuttered rapidly, staggering onto the ground. "N-need to r-r-recharge..."

"N-n-need to r-recharge." Zane said, he felt the energy draining from his mechanical body. "B-b-battery- s-systems shutting dow-" his body went lifeless onto the ground. Before he went limp he sent the directions to his "house" to Nym's phone. He had to trust this girl to take him there. If not, he'd be scrapped. Not that it mattered to him anyways, he didn't have a life to begin with.

Nym looked at her phone, confused. She looked at Zane afterwards, trying to figure out what happened. "Odd, everyone else is hurrying over work or such. He's different.." She put her phone in the back pocket of her jeans before bending over, picking Zane up. She struggled slightly, walking to where the directions led her. She ignored the odd looks that she received from the other busy people as she walked.

He weighed quite a lot, respite his slim figure. He was made of metal, after all. He couldn't feel anything, see anything, touch anything, hear anything. He felt like he was trapped inside a void, waiting to be activated again. Could he trust this girl? He had no idea what the world was doing, it was dark. Dark.. he wondered if this is what happened to humans when they die.. no, that was stupid. He's an android, he'll never be like them. No matter how much he may look like a human being.

"Oh welcome ba- Oh dear.." Professor Garrison looked at the twosome "His battery died.. no matter. I'll just recharge him.." he sighed, taking the pile of metal from Nym. "Thank you for bringing back my Android Miss.." not knowing her name he just shrugged it off. "How about you join me for tea? It's the least I can do." he said, not shutting the door behind him. He walked into a separate room, putting Zane into a bed. "That'll have to do it." he said, walking out of the room to where Nym was.

"Alrighty! I can green tea, if that's alright." Professor Garrison said, looking into the fridge. "Here we are." he picked up two bottles of green tea, sitting them down on the coffee table. "It won't take him too long to recharge, thankfully." He said, opening his bottle. "Oh right, the door!" he shut the apartment door, sitting down on the couch. "Again, thank you for bringing my Android back." he took a sip of his tea.
