Shimmer sat in a tree, waiting for night to come. She was so excited to see the fireflies, which she saw very often. But she never gets tired of them.

Josh was home, and relaxed in a couch with his labrador Kin sleeping besides him, he closed his eyes and smiled, he could feel Kin's heart beat. She was deep in sleep.

He reached out for a book, he hadnt read in a while, so it was nice to read again. He loved reading when he was younger, his mom always kept these good books. He started reading.

Shimmer stared out into nothing as her hair blew in the nice spring breeze. She decided to do something good with her time, so she climbed down the tree. Trying not to get her galaxy shirt dirty, she stood up straight and brushed her self off.


Max sat on a nearby bench, being very bored. He glanced over at the girl with the galaxy shirt, who seemed energetic. And he sighed

Luna twirled her wand around her fingers, her feet up on the arm of the bench and her back resting on the seat. Muttering, she lazily levitated a large leaf.

Josh could hear his dog yawning, he turned his head to see Kin looking at him, and licking the book, Josh sat the book back in place, and turned around to pet Kin. He slowly sat up, with Kin jumping off the couch. He decided to go outdoors.

Kin clearly wanted to get outside, so Josh took her with him. He opened the door and felt the wind. He walked around, looking at the beautiful day. He found a tree, and decided to sit on the bench nearby. He let Kin run around.

Shimmer was happier than usual, but that wasn't strange. She whistled as she walked down the sidewalk with a slight pep in her step.

Kin was happy and ran around, but was a little too hyped, so she bumped into a happy girl with a galaxy shirt. Kin quickly got up again, and shaked, but started barking.

Josh was making sketches in his notebook, he had grapped in the last second before they left, and heard a strange known bark. He then saw Kin barking at a stranger, and rushed over to there to calm her down.

Luna dropped her wand, causing it to make a loud clatter. She hurriedly picked it up, stowed it in her bag, and started walking away.

Shimmer sheepishly laughed. "Heh... don't worry! I'm the total opposite of bad, no need to bark!" She looked at the dog who was barking at her, then at the boy.


Max fell asleep on the bench.

Josh sat down on his knees, petting Kin under the ear, it was the best place to pet her. She slowly turned her head around to him, and laid her head on his right knee.

Josh looked up at the girl. He had never been so close to a girl before, and she seemed.. A little too unrealistic to be a real human? He finally was brave enough to ask her. "Are you a book?" he then regret that he had said it, who knows? It could have hurt her. He personally wasnt a hater on them. Neutral.

Shimmer smiled and nodded. "Yep! My name is Shimmer." She didn't seem bothered by this question at all. "Mind if I pet the dog? She is so cute!" She then realized that she had never talked to a human before.

Books are weird.. Josh thought and nodded at Shimmer. "My name is Josh." He said with confident. Maybe he could befriend this magic creature? Probably not, he looked down at Kin, she had her tounge out, almost signaling "Do it". Josh smiled at Kin. She could be cute when she want to be.

Josh looked weirdly at the book. "Not even a hate comment? That suprises me. People over various social media talk about books. But i guess your not on them." He said, it then hit him that he felt kinda sad for the book. "Do you have any friends?" He asked, mostly to see if he could befriend this strange creature.
