Luke was in Striaton City, it was a whole new region. "So this is Unova, huh?" he muttered quietly to himself. The region was quite foreign to him, being from the Sinnoh region. His Houndoom was out of it's pokeball, by his side. Where the heck is the Pokemart when you need it? he thought, looking around. "Well, I'm lost." he sighed. His Houndoom rolled it's eyes, like this was to be expected.

Arin passed a confused looking man on her way to the Pokemart. Her Zorua was laying in her basket. She thought of helping him, but her Zorua whined and she sped up a bit. 'Gosh, I should have been more polite' She thought, grimacing.

"Hey you there," Luke said to Arin "Do you know where a Pokemart is by any chance? I was planning to stock up on some potions and pokeballs." he returned his Houndoom into his pokeball. I heard there's some pretty sweet dragon type pokemon here in this region as well. he thought. Eager to find some new pokemon to add to his team.

Arin turned, and looked at the teen. "O-oh, the Po-Pokemart? I'm going there, fol-follow me..." She replied, making a hand motion for him to follow her as she began to walk, back on track.

"Thank you. I just came into this region, and everything is a new sight for me." Luke began to speak as he followed her. "I probably should've studied into Unova lore and whatnot before I actually came here." he laughed nervously.

"I heard Unova has a league here.. have you challenged it?" He asked, excitedly. If he got this region's eight badges he could challenge the Pokemon League. Although.. if I did become Champion, I'd have to go back to accepting challengers.. at least defending the region was part of my job too. And that was pretty fun. he thought.

Ariana glanced at the male with a timid smile on her face. "Ye-yes!" She replied. Her head bobbed in a nod-like gesture, and her red hair shifted a bit. She continued to the Pokemart and her Zorua yawned lightly.

"Really? You must be pretty strong then, right? I don't have this region's eight badges yet, but I'm looking forward to challenging the pokemon gyms." Luke said, following Arin. "I heard there's a gym here. I think I'll challenge it once I stock up on some items." he smiled. "I'm Luke West, what's your name?"

"Nice to meet you Arin." Luke flashed her a playful smile, following her into the Pokemart. "Right.." he looked around at the products, picking up a basket to put them in. Looking at the shelves he grabbed some healing items, along with some pokeballs. "These'll come in handy." he muttered, before walking up to the register.

"That'll be all?" the employee asked. "Yup." Luke replied. "That'll be $40.20." He heard the man at the register say. "Yikes, alright." he fished the money out of his backpack, handing it to the man at the front counter. "Thank you, pleasure doing business with you." The man said. "Likewise." Luke replied taking the items and putting them in his black backpack. "Thanks for showing me around Arin, I think I'll try to find the gym. You can come watch the battle, if you want." he smiled, walking towards the exit.

Arin purchased more pokeballs and some berries, before laying them in her basket. She fed her Zorua a berry, and it smiled, falling back asleep. She heard Luke and chased after him. "I'll just come with you to watch the battle." She said, smiling.

Arin smiled. "I thought you'd ask that. Follow me." She said, grabbing his hand and leading him to the Unova gym. She walked at a light pace, glancing back at the boy every so often. She didn't know why she did it, but it was practically reflex by now.

"Uh-" He was about to finish his sentence before Arin grabbed his hand. His face flushed as she showed him the way to the gym. He saw people giving them glances before carrying on their daily routine. "You can let go of my hand, Arin."

"Thanks." Luke said, walking into the gym. A man came up to them, although he didn't strike Luke as a gym leader. "Hello, are you here for a gym match?" he asked. "Yes. I'm the one who'll be challenging." He said. The man nodded, and disappeared. After a few seconds of waiting three men came up towards us. "Hello and welcome to our gym." One of them said, he had green hair which caught his attention. They stared at each other for a few moments.

"You're him.. you're the Sinnoh League Champion, Luke West.. right?" The green haired man said. That surprised him, although.. these three men were gym leaders. So they must've heard it from the Sinnoh Elite Four. "Actually, it's ex-Champion. I came here to Unova to hone my skills as a trainer." Luke said. "So you'll be using your leaguing team?" The green haired man said. "He'll have to go all out then, Cress you're up." The blue haired triplet came forward "Hello, my name is Cress. Let's go to the stadium and have a friendly match between trainers, shall we?"

Arin was following Luke closely, looking over his shoulder on her tiptoes. She knew the gym leaders, and was quite close with the blue-haired one. She smiled lightly, blinking a little. 'Hmm, Luke seems quite strong, but he might not be able to win. It took all my strength to do so...' She thought, humming lightly.

"Oh my god I'm so excited." Luke said excitedly, following Cress into the stadium. "Alright. Go, Golduck!" His Golduck came out of it's pokeball, ready for battle. "Awesome, go Salamence!" he threw one of his pokeballs, the large dragon pokemon coming out. "I can't wait!" he couldn't help himself from smiling.

"Let the battle begin!" Cress said, "Salamence, use Dragon Pulse!" Luke said, his Salamence firing a beam of raw power at the Golduck. It hit, the Golduck staggering. It seemed to be pretty weaked. "Oh.. so that's how it'll be." Cress muttered.

Arin sat along the sidelines, setting her basket next to her on the ground. She lifted her now-awake Zorua out of it, nuzzling it softly. The fox snuggled into her lap, and Arin's innocent blue eyes were on the battle. But now her smile was one of happiness and pure relaxation.
