"Ah, my mistake, I misunderstood
you," Yuna bowed in apology feeling like a fool. "I was so busy
admiring the Cyndaquil and you said that just as I was
finishing."
"Is it also okay if I can come in, or are we not allowed to enter
others' cabins here?" Yuna wondered if she might see others she saw
before, considering Snow, Sky and Sara were all a part of the Mew
cabin, she remembered meeting Lion before they were assigned cabins
but didn't know which cabin he went to.
Tiger nodded "go ahead" he replied kindly. He then turned his back
to her and went back into the cabin where he saw Lion taking a nap
on the bottom bunk across from him. Tiger then climbed up into his
bunk once more and closed up his sketch book.
Yuna quietly stepped in, and
noticed most of the others were sleeping. "I guess, they kind of
need sleep after everything that happened today huh..?" Yuna said
softly. She looked over and noticed the boy she met earlier, Lion.
"Oh, he's here too huh? It's too bad he's sleeping." Beldum decided
to stay outside since if it sat down inside it might make a loud
enough thud to wake people up. Murkrow continued to sit on Yuna's
head.
She noticed the scar on Lion's face, which she somehow missed
earlier when she first met him. "Did he just get that scratch on
his face, or...?" She asked towards Tiger.
Tiger looked over the edge of the bunk to Lion. "It happened when
we were kids. He and I were battling with our Pokemon and he
accidentally got hit with one of Cyndaquil's swifts" he said
softly. He still blamed himself for the scar, the boy then silently
place his hand over his right arm as he remembered about his flame
shaped scar that his jacket was covering. The boy then looked at
Yanma and the Pokemon flew over to Lion silently. "Ugh Tiger
control your Pokemon" Lion said half asleep he then sat up and
stretched.
Yuna was about to question why
Tiger was holding his arm when Yanma distracted her by flying to
Lion. Yuna giggled at the funny sight she witnissed afterward.
"Hehehe, that must be one heck of a way to wake up every morning,
or in this case afternoon." Yuna was poking fun at the way he woke
up.
Yanma smiled and flew around Lion who sighed softly. He then
noticed Yuna, "hello again" the boy said kindly. He then looked at
the Yanma "Tiger wakes me up in a regular basis...mainly with his
friend Pidgeot I'm surprised Yanma knew how Pidgeot wakes me up" he
said a bit of shock in his tone. Yanma and Tiger looked at each
other "well we can use telepathy on each other maybe Yanma read a
memory of mine" he said slightly laughing.
"I didn't know you were in this
cabin. Are you and Tiger childhood friends? He told me about why
you have the scar on your face, I'm sorry that happened to you."
Yuna said with sympathy.
She then wandered near the door and looked down at Beldum. "Beldum
recently learned Telepathy too. I've been trying to do it myself,
but I haven't been able to learn how to really do it yet haha.."
Yuna looked back at the two boys. "Do you two know any psychic
powers that I missed out on the last class? I would wait for the
next class to make up for it, but I don't know when it's going to
start."
Tiger thought for a moment while Lion replied to Yuna's first
question "Tiger and I grew up in the same town. We're friends as
well as rivals, so we've always been there to push each other to
the extra mile" Lion said softly, he then looked at Tiger "and as
for the scar I don't mind it one bit. In fact it gives me a bit of
character" he said softly.
Tiger yawned slightly before replying "well we didn't learn any new
abilities last class, it was more of a training class to see where
we were with our Pokemon and our abilities" he said softly. He then
remembered the Alakazam and the odd dream like world. "As for next
class it's in a few hours" he said softly, "so for now we can rest
and settle in" he finished.
Yuna laughed and half-jogged over
to Lion and pointed at his face. "So you have a bit more character
with that scar huh? Does that make you one step above Tiger over
there?" She said as she used her other hand to point at Tiger's
face too. She was mostly doing this to pass the time until the
classes started, since Sara was sleeping and Sky and Snow were
being scolded and outside the cabin.
Beldum communed to Tiger's Yanma, since it overheard that Yanma
could speak telepathically. ("I'm sorry you have to deal with her
right now") it told in a slightly sighing voice.
"So, tell me the other half then,
you did say we had time." Yuna said as she plopped herself on a
nearby empty bunk bed. "Besides, if we're going to be camping
together, it's fun to know who I'm camping with and what they're
like!"
Tiger blinked and looked at Lion, the boy then sighed. "Well Tiger
went missing as a child when we were growing up." He began
cautiously as he remembered Tiger wasn't a fan of remembering it.
Tiger then got into a sitting position and sighed, "it's a long
story though. I don't mind retelling it if you want" the boy said
softly.
Yuna looked carefully at both of
their expressions. It seemed to be a heavy story. "Only if you two
are okay with it, together that is. I don't have to know. I can
just accept that you have a scar, and that's something you can be
proud of" she pointed at Lion as she said this.
She lowered her hand and said "Besides, I've helped people cheat
death so many times, and I'm only a kid..." Yuna's expression
flashed several different emotions over a few seconds, then smiled
again. "Again though, only if you feel okay with telling me that
story, I don't want to make you hurt from bad memories."
Tiger shrugged slightly and remembered the aeroblast from his dream
once more. Maybe it was a sign he thought to himself before
shaking the thought away. "I don't mind" he finally said softly,
Lion looked at him in shock. "You see it all started around five
years ago. Back before Lion and I were old enough to head to camp,
or even train with our Pokemon. My father had given me a Pichu
which Team Rocket had taken just after well my dad was brainwashed
into rejoining them. So I attempted to rescue him, but I tripped
over Cyndaquil who had been badly injured. As I was about to go
after Team Rocket a flamethrower came out of the bushes and missed
Cyndaquil. So I tried to break up the fight, the Pokemon attacking
Cyndaquil then came from the bushes" he continued. Lion looked at
Cyndaquil softly, the Pokemon wasn't fond of the memory as the same
as Tiger. "The Pokemon went to attack and possibly kill Cyndaquil.
So I took a flamethrower for my friend. In the end the attacking
Pokemon was about to finish us both off when a strange move came
from the sky and scared the attacking Pokemon. He then fled the
area leaving Cyndaquil and I injured in the forest, where we both
passed out. Upon waking up we were healed up in a different part of
the forest, and we had to travel through countless miles to get
home" Tiger finished. Lion nodded "it took the two of them around a
year to get back" he said softly.
(Out of the roleplay for a second....: I had to redo that part of
Tiger's past due to the guardian legends being the ones who guard
all the campers and not just one. For a Tiger's real back story he
was five and took a sacred fire which would kill Lugia off. The
Pokemon was greatful for the boy's help and healed him to where he
learnt to speak and understand Pokemon, and other skills. Though
that's not his back story in this roleplay)
(I think I understand. You do a
good job making sure everything stays accurate :) )
Yuna was swinging her legs back and forth while listening to the
story. It was a lot harsher than she expected. "I feel bad for
making fun of you two now. I'm always light and cheerful and try to
make the best of things as they come, but sometimes, like this, it
gets me in trouble." She said in a sad voice, with her legs now
being still. "I can't help it though. I'm always like this, I just
have to deal with it. So, since I know your story, shall I tell you
mine?" Yuna wasn't sure how she would begin to tell it, because she
wasn't too sure of her own past herself... Rather, if her past was
really her past.
(Thanks I came up with Tiger years ago. As I did his backstory was
the first thing I came up with)
Tiger smiled slightly "nah don't be sorry it's fine. We all have
things in the past we hate remembering, and I don't mind if someone
makes fun of me at all" he said kindly. Lion nodded in agreement
the boy then replied "go ahead and tell us...that is of you'd like"
he said kindly.
Yuna nodded her head. "Of course
I'd tell. I wouldn't have offered if I couldn't silly" She knocked
her head with her fist gently.
"Well, according to my mom and dad, my great grandmom - My mom's
grandmom of course - had a special power that allowed her to heal
others, so to say. She could sort of... Drain people of sickness or
diseases they may have had. For the next 2 generations, neither
daughter or grandaughter had the ability she had. Then I was
born... And a few days later, the doctors called my mom and dad,
and told them I had something special about me. My mom asked my
great grandmom, and she said I had the ability same as my great
grandmom's. It passes down every third successful generation, I
suppose, but they don't know why or when it was first found
out.
All my life growing up, I didn't really have many friends, or go to
school often. My parents always moved around a lot, trying to help
out people by getting me to take away their sickness. Whenever I do
this, I get very tired, and I could only help a few people before
falling asleep where I stood from being so tired. I missed so much
school because of it, and any friends I really had weren't
able to be with me much because we were traveling so often." Yuna
was trying her best to be stable but her emotions of the times were
showing anyways.
"So, a few months ago, my mom and dad they finally saw what they
were doing to me, and said that if I wanted to, I could come to
this camp. I could learn to hopefully control my ability better,
learn and discover more, and even make more friends. Even before I
came here, I was always excited to see people and make new friends
because I knew I wanted to cherish the short times I had with them
before possibly never seeing them again." Yuna finishes by looking
at her right hand. "This hand that's healed so much, yet stole so
much and cheated so much. I wonder how I truly feel about
everything I can do, and if I can really make this better for
myself and others."
Tiger looked over and nodded slightly, "that's deep" he said
softly. Lion then looked at Tiger and noticed the boy's expression.
"Lion and I could be your friends. I mean yeah while it's short we
should cherish every moment we have" he said softly. Lion nodded,
"yeah and who's to say that we won't be going on missions together
even after camp" Lion added kindly.
Yuna meekly said, "I don't want
to make friends out of pity..."
She then stood up proudly and shouted "I want to make friends
because I want to be able to share love and happiness with all
those around me!" She had a face like she just conquered the world
while saying that.
