A Trainer's Journey

Plot
This is a story about a young boy, Victor and his quest to become a Pokemon Master. He begins his journey from Kanto, and receives his starter Pokemon from Oak's lab. The story starts at the point, and will progress further.


A New Journey— and Horrifying News

"Victor! Wake up! Do you realise you're half an hour late?" Victor's mother said as she entered the room. Victor woke up. "What happened..." He mumbled as he realised that it was his first day as a Pokemon trainer. He was due to go to Oak's lab half an hour ago!
The boy shot out of bed, and dressed up at record time. He had packed his bag the previous night.

He ran towards the lab, which was close by, in time to see Sara, his twin sister, come out with a strange Pokemon, which he didn't recognise. He didn't care, and rushed in the lab.

"Oh! Victor! You're late!" Prof. Oak exclaimed as he looked at the desperate boy.
"Can I pick my starter Pokemon?" He asked. Oak nodded. "I decided to get more options for trainers, by bringing in starter Pokemon from Hoenn too. Now the total choices are: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip." Oak concluded with the surprising news.

"May I have Torchic?" Victor asked, as he had looked at footages of Blaziken, and Mega Blaziken. "Taken. You were late.." Oak said, but Victor interrupted.

"Mudkip? Treecko?" He asked. "They're taken. A special trainer got Treecko. Early bird gets the worm." Oak concluded, to the disappointment of Victor.

"Squirtle and Bulbasaur?" Victor asked again, though he was not a huge fan of them. "Taken." Oak replied.

"CHARMANDER!!!!!????" Victor asked, losing patience. It looked as if he wouldn't get a starter for himself!
"There's where bad news begins. The charmander was the one I reserved for you, seeing it's fiery nature. But he got lost in the Virginian forest. His mother, a Charizard, is looking for him all over the forest."

"So... Please Prof. Oak, I can't do without a starter Pokemon!?" Victor said. Oak took pity on the boy and took out a pokeball with a lightning bolt on it.

"This is Pikachu. This will be your starter Pokemon. But, you must go on a mission." Prof. Oak continued. "Starter Pokemon are like helpless birds, this charmander won't be able to survive in the forest. It can even die. So you must find it before you can begin your journey.
