So I struggle sometimes to find some names for the Pokemon that are significant in my games or this site, such as Legendaries, Shinies, Mega-ables, and the like. So I decided to look through this forum, but couldn't find a thread for these. If you have a something you need a name for (be it Pokemon on PH, Pokemon on your GBA/DS, Pokesonas, OCs, RP characters, whatever) ask here and maybe I, or maybe another kind user can help you out?

*Try to describe the name you want as precisely as possible (i.e do you want a short name, a grandiose name, a cool-sounding name, a Latin name?) If you are going to suggest a name, make sure it sticks to the theme the seeker asked. (Y)

Thanks!

Go with themes! I'm naming all my 'mons on here after food, haha. You could do fictional characters, types of plants, types of trees, animals, colors, gods, locations, down to more esoteric choices like terminology or famous people from your favorite hobbies. I've named characters after programming constructs and arithmetic terminology before.

Hmm, well if you're naming them after food? Here's a list!. But for fictional characters (only other suggestion list) I could say
Show hidden content
*Chat Noir
*Ladybug
*Percy
*Annabeth
*Ruby
*Sapphire
*Peridot
*Brock
*Ash
*Mouse(whisker)
*Hazel(tail)
*Berry(nose)
*Birch(fall)

Now for me, I'm currently about to make a new Dragonair Pokesona. It is male, and this is his palette. For names, I won't be too picky. But his name needs to mean light, and the name can be male or unisex.

@MemeTheWeirdo
Lumen, Aurelius/Aurelio/Aurelion, Ilum, Uriah, Lukas, Muspell (this one's a bit of a stretch)

Also, I'm not looking for names of things atm :D Just posted this thread in case there's someone who needs a name. I'll comment here if I do wind up nameless though c:

@MemeTheWeirdo
Lux (Latin) or Lumiere (French)?

Also, I need help naming this guy. I'd prefer for the name to end in the letter o, and I like names that mean something in other languages.

I'd like to name this gal. I would like it related to fire and flames, and it might help: I planned to name her 'Blaze' if she would have hatched male.

Possible names for ya:

-Flamma (Latin for fire, burning fire, source of light, etc)
-Ignigena (Latin for 'born of fire')
-Lasair (Scots Gaelic for flame ~ Can be shortened down to 'Las' for the same meaning)
-Flammen (German for flame)
-Brandstelle (German for blaze or even 'burning/burnt area')

Other fire-related words-
Scorch, Kindle, Ignite, Flare.

Cannae think of anything else, hope it helps you out mate!! ^^'

@Courage I don't know a thing about undertake...

@Scotland Thanks! I thought up something based on your suggestions 'Flendeur'. It stands for 'Flamma', which is, as you told Latin for fire and 'Splendeur' which means splendour in French.

Any suggestions to improve 'Flendeur' further?

@PkmnTrainerV
How about shortening it to "Fleur"? It's actually French for flower, but it does sound like a nice name for a shiny Typhlosion. Perhaps "Flaime" or "Flaimer" from one of the French words for "love/s"?
Other words for "splendour" are grandiose, extravagance, magnificence, ornate. Maybe you can make something of it?
I've gone too deep into this haven't I

Thanks!
