As Empoleon shot out and hit Dusknoir, Vindle quickly said; "This is a close rang fight, now's your chance! Thunder punch!" Vindle said. Dusknoir shot a fist of electricity at Empoleon.

Empoleon took the attack and fell to the ground. "Oh no!" Cathy whispered to Noivern, who sent a wave of ultrasonic sounds throughout the battlefield. Empoleon nodded and jumped into the air, reading herself for another thunder punch.

Dusknoir fell to the ground.
"Crap, that probably cut the HP in half. Empoleon took quite a bit of damage from thunder punch, though. Dusknoir, try another brick break!" Vindle said. Dusknoir went towards Empoleon.

Dusknoir went to Empoleon's back, smacking it with brick break and proving shadow claw to be useless in that situation.

Empoleon fell to the ground, obviously severely damaged by the attack. "Empoleon! Nooo!" Empoleon staggered to its feet, a little wobbly, but determined.
