I notice everyday or so there is a sale going on at the item shop. However, some sales discounts don't even change the price by having like 1 or 2 percent off which I find doesn't make sense whatsoever. So I propose to make discount sales to be a minimum of 5%.

...You can buy in bulk, though, and the discount definitely gets counted through ^^'
Just because you don't see it for single purchases, doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all ;)

I think that is false actually, I just compared the prices of two types of berries. One is 2% off and the other is full price. I checked the price of the berry not on sale to see how much for 360 of them and it gave me 14400 total. The berry supposedly on sale was checked to see how much it would cost for 360 of them as well and there was no alteration in the price whatsoever.

So I have come to the conclusion that the discount is taken off the item before adding another item to the the amount you want meaning that the discount is per item not the total of the items you buy.

So I just bought some Kelpsy Berries, which have a 1% discount today.
As expected, I had to pay 40 PD less than usual for 100 Kelpsy Berries (3960 PD instead of 4000 PD)

So you do get a discount on the total and it happens as it should.

Again, just because it doesn't show on a single berry, doesn't mean it doesn't on the total; the only reason you didn't see it in the preview, is that the (actual) discount shows when you pay, not in the preview ;)

Alright fair enough but why doesn't it show the discount in the preview like the others?

Because, as you said yourself, it doesn't show on the single berry, so it's counting the price of the (rounded up displayed) single berries, because commas aren't shown.

Which is why the displayed price is slightly higher than the actual price. This also happens with the other sales, though; commas are always rounded up, so the displayed price is always higher than the actual price ~~unless the discount leads to a round number~~
