Alex woke up lying on a forest floor. "Where am I..." he muttered to himself. He rubbed his head, which was aching very horribly. He looked around. The trees seemed almost twice as tall here than from forests he'd seen, including the one he lived near... The one where he saw that ninetails. Then he remembered what had happened before he passed out. He was taking a stroll when he saw a beautiful, almost glowing ninetails, with a few people around it. The people seemed to shimmer and disappear, when the ninetails turned to him and said, "Oh, you too..."

Tiger looked at the Ninetales before getting to his feet. "So all the humans have been turned into the pokemon they would be" he said softly and looked around the clearing.

Tiger nodded to Ninetales, and heard her finish "you will all be given a partner to befriend, and protect. You may team up with other humans, but there are some pokemon who will be drawn to you." she said lowly. The totodile from earlier then ran over to Tiger, and tackled him playfully.

Alex looked to his left, he saw the ninetails talking to the same number of pokemon as there were humans before. He ducked behind a bush. "Are those... the same people...?" he asked himself. In a beif moment of realization, he looked down at his body. He was no longer human. (why do I keep taking long breaks XD)

Tiger grunted and looked at the Totodile "and you are" he asked lowly. The pokemon then blinked "ninetales told me that you are my rescue partner, I'm Chomp" he said with a smile.

Alex started breathing heavily. He was a pokemon too! He didn't sign up for this. "Okay... calm down... calm down" he muttered to himself, "Youre okay... at least you're alive..."

Tiger looked at Chomp before replying in confusion "er...I'm Tiger" he said and looked around. There were plenty of pokemon greeting the humans kindly.

Alex got his bearings, and watched the pokemon happily greet the other newly transformed humans. It was surprising that the pokemon accepted him that quickly. It seemed artificial, and maybe even misleading.

Chomp nodded before Ninetales spoke once more "trainers..pokemon. This journey will be long, and rough, and I will not promise that most humans will return" she said softly, but stern. "Though this journey will take you far from any region you've seen before. It will cross mountains, seas, swamps, and forests. In the end you will find a continent for each pokemon type, and they will survive in peace once more" she finished and leaps out of the clearing signaling for the pokemon to begin the journey.

Alex frowned. A continent for every type? There were only seven regions known so far, eight including the orange islands. There were what, sixteen, seventeen types? So far, this journey sounded more like a takeover than a making of peace.

Tiger looked confused "a continent for every type..?" he said in disbelief. Chomp looked at the trainer slightly "well some types would get along in the same areas. For example a grass continent can have grass, poison, and flying types, and a volcano continent can have fire, ground, and rock types" he thought slightly.

Chomp began to walk away from the forest "the new land is unknown to humans. Or that's what Ninetales told us Pokemon when the humans passed out" he said softly. Tiger nodded and followed the Pokemon quickly. He looked to the unknown forest that Chomp was walking.

Alex frowned, and began to follow the crowd from a distance. He had to stop a few times to avoid falling, as he was not used to having a tail, and was worried that if he did fall someone would notice. Regardless, he proceeded as cautiously as possible.
