Zan was roaming the ruins of what was the world. At least, until that cannon fired. He saw Hisoka.
"I am Zan. I can read minds. I got a secondary power, and I chose fire."
He reads Hisoka's mind:
"You want revenge, and I know who is your target: Zergen, the crazy Clown. But if you face him, you'll die."

Zan takes the knife out of Hisoka's pocket and stabs his stomach with it.

(You can revive Joe behind Hisoka's dead body, but she must scream "What are you people!?" to Zan.)

Zan disappeared, and teleported to a base. A woman was there.

Before Larxene said anything, her dead body was left fading on the floor.
