"Howdy! I'm Flowey the Flower!" The flower greeted.
"What the heck? The flower can talk?" Liecht said, staring at the flower with confusion.

"You two are new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha?" Flowey continued.
Lilly gave the flower a little nod, unsure if she could trust it.

"Someone 'ought to teach you how things work around here!" then Flowey faked sighed. "I guess little old me will have to do!"
Liecht leaned over to whisper to Lilly.
"I don't trust this flower.."

"Ready? Here we go!" Flowey said.
Instantly, an Aqua heart appeared in front of Lilly, and a Yellow heart appeared in front of Liecht.
"See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being!" Flowey began to explain.

Suddenly, a white bullet shot from it.
Flowey immanently dodged it.
"What are you doing?" he ordered.
"I-I don't know?" Liecht replied, still staring at her heart.

"Anyways, your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV." Flowey went on.
Level? Lilly thought.
"What does LV stand for? Why, LOVE, of course!" Flowey exclaimed.
LOVE?? Lilly thought.
"You want some LOVE, don't you?" Flowey continued.

"Don't worry! I'll share some with you!" Suddenly, a round of white pellets surrounded Flowey.

"Down here, LOVE is shared through... Little white... 'Friendliness pellets.'" Flowey continued.
"Are you ready? Move around! Get as many as you can!" Flowey exclaimed.
The white pellets floated around. Lilly curiously moved her SOUL towards one, but then Lilly instantly fell to the ground. Her heart was pounding.
"Ow..." Lilly whispered.

Flowey giggled darkly.
"You IDIOTS. In this world, It's kill or BE killed." He laughed manically as another round of white pellets surrounded Liecht and Lilly. Liecht narrowed her eyes and her heart was flashing a golden yellow.

"Ah, do not be afraid, my children. I am Toriel, Caretaker of the Ruins."

"You are the first humans to come here in a long time." Toriel told them.
"Come! I will guide you through the catacombs." Toriel whispered.
