Em glanced around. A people were grooming Dragons, riding Dragons or feeding Dragons. She pulled her bag pack a little tighter, just in case.
You can never be too careful, Em thought.
Heart in her mouth, she set off towards the dormitories, anxious to get inside.

Seeing a sign pointing to the headmasters office, Em changed tracks and headed to it. Arriving a few seconds later, she knocked on the door.

Five minutes later, Em exited the office. Her heart felt like it was soaring over the highest of clouds. Now that the meeting with the Director was over, Em wanted to check on her Ice Dragon, Ancalagon.
"Hey, boy. How are you doing?" she asked, stroking his hard, ice coloured scales.
In answer, Ancalagon gave a small whinny, smoke puffing out from his nostrils. Em patted and motioned for him to follow her.
