I may have valuable items like bottled messages or nuggets for a trade instead of just Pokedollars.

My berry market stall
I only really use it right now to try to get rid of berries that I can no longer use in the bulletin board so $1 each berries.

Pokemon for sale / trade
Remember, if you are buying, you have to attach the same number of Pokemon you are buying in the trade in order for the trade to go through. I can not accept trades without Pokemon, and there is nothing I can do about it since that is how the system is set up by the admin.
Some of them may be registered for the Wonder Trade / auction.
I also have Pokemon in my fish box. Everything is for sale / trade, except Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Clamperl, Staryu, Lanturn, Huntail, Gorebyss, and Clauncher, which I need for shiny bait / mega stone Leah trades.
I tend to release easy rarity Pokemon and excess Pokemon created by shiny chain breeding.
It is impossible to sell / auction / trade these Pokemon.

Check to see if I have a shiny hunt going on. If I do, I won't break my chain for this without payment of at least $50,000, 50 electric gems, or 50 nuggets for having to stop my hunt and buy new batteries for the pokeradar. A Zapdos from the gem collector is 2500 electric gems and 2500 flying gems, and you'll have to provide the gems. I will give the gems to the gem collector for the egg, hatch it, and trade it to you (since eggs can't be traded / gifted). Contact me before sending me anything.

Don't like an event?
Before you start whining about an event because of the group it celebrates, think about this:
If you consider the mere existance of an event for a particular group (like the gblt community) to be "shoving it into your face," consider this. By that logic, I would be entitled to complaining about every Christian holiday event on this site for "shoving the religion into my face."
If you spout out how sinful or evil a group is and yet say that you want to support the people in that group: It is far from being supportive. If you take that and aim it back at yourself: Your religion (or whatever it is) is evil, but I will support the people in it. It's not such a nice thing to say, now is it? It's actually nothing more than rudeness dressed up.
If you don't like an event, just don't participate in it. Let the people who enjoy the event enjoy it without having to deal with meaningless whining.

Just like the lab, it only uses primary types for dual types. So I know what to grab for in the lab. Does not include megas, shinies, and non-lab Pokemon.

I got 4th. Here's the entry:
When I became a waiter at Los Seashellos, I didn't expect to meet so many different kinds of people. Besides the residents of Emera Town, there are tourists and wandering Pokemon trainers from all over, even from the other side of the world. But the most unusual one is the mermaid at the beach. I had never seen a mermaid until Leah showed up. They usually don't live here.
I remember when I first stumbled upon her.
The sun was shining after a terrible storm, and I stood on the Los Seashellos deck that stretched over the sea. The building was on rock on the far side of the beach so it had enough stability to be up against the ocean. Some of my co-workers were cleaning up the storm debris, but I had a different job. I looked over the edge of the deck to see a crate of Pink Cold Angel where the waves had carried it, stuck between the deck pole and some rocks. Someone had accidently dropped it while bringing in a shipment, and everyone else who tried to get it failed. At least the waves had calmed.
I laid face down near the edge of the deck, conscious of how my clothes would be rumpled when the restaurant opened. I put my hands out towards the crate, but my fingertips only brushed it. I cautiously moved further over the edge and leaned out to try to grab the crate.
I was distracted by a gasp, and I looked where the sound came from under the deck. I saw a woman in a pink top, and she was tangled up in the seaweed that liked to grow near the rock. She thrashed when she realized I had seen her.
"Don't worry, miss. I'll help you," I said to calm her. I stood up on the deck.
My co-workers had noticed. "What's that?"
"Someone got trapped in the seaweed." I thought a moment. "Don't tell the manager about this." I took a Pokeball out of my shirt pocket underneath my vest. The manager didn't want us trying to pick Pokemon fights with our customers so we were not allowed to bring Pokemon to work. But I kept this one with me all the time, just in case. I let the Pokemon out, my rainbow Vivillion. "Help the person who is trapped underneath the deck." My Vivillion disappeared underneath, and after a few minutes of noisily nibbling through the exposed seaweed, he returned to me.
The woman came out from underneath the deck, and then something surprising happened. The woman flipped on her back to look at us and splashed a large fish tail in the waves while turning. I could only stare dumbfounded.
"Hi. Hi. Thanks. The storm pushed me underneath there, and I couldn't get out. I'm hungry so I'm going to try to find food. Some nice, juicy fish. I'm Leah, by the way," the mermaid said.
I recovered from my surprise. "Happy to have helped you, miss."
She disappeared beneath the waves.
To this day, she still visits me near the deck.
Here's the initial story that I came up with. Since the theme was Emera Town residents, I tried to include cameos of as many as possible, but since it went way over the word limit (at 866 words), I ended up cutting them out and other details.
When I became a waiter at Los Seashellos, I didn't expect to meet as many different kinds of people as I have. Not only are there the residents of Emera Town who come down for the beach and the food, there are also tourists and wandering Pokemon trainers from all over. Some have even wandered over here from the other side of the world for adventure. But the most unusual traveler of them all is the mermaid at the beach. I had never seen a mermaid until Leah showed up. They usually aren't in this area.
I remember when I first stumbled upon her. It was a normal day with Professor Rowan and the old man from the Daycare stopping in for lunch. I glanced though the restuarant windows, and I could see the gem collector panning for gems in the wet sand. I guess he thought some may have gotten washed up onto shore and buried under the sand after a local Pokemon trainer fished up some gems. The hiker was further inland, going through the beach grass for one of his daily hikes. The sun was shining after a terrible storm. It was picture perfect.
I looked away from the windows and approached the professor and the daycare owner. "What would you like, good sirs?"
"Pasta," the daycare owner grunted.
"Sharpelone with a Pink Cold Angel," the professor answered.
I left them and went back to the kitchen to record the order where the chefs would see it as they were cooking. The head chef, an older, stout man, called to me when he saw me. I went to see what he wanted, weaving between the staff.
"Can you do me a favor? You've got long arms, and maybe you can reach it," the chef said. "Some of the boys were goofing around when they were unloading crates of Pink Cold Angel. They weren't paying attention, and they dropped one of the crates off of the deck not too long ago. Good thing this place was closed because of the storm, or they would have gotten a thrashing from the manager if our customers saw them. As far as I know, the crate is still wedged between the deck pole and some rocks where the ocean swept it. We need that crate, and I'd be thankful if you could retrieve it. Nobody else has been able to get it."
"I'll try," I said. I'm not as formal around the other staff, even though the customers wouldn't suspect that.
I went out the back door. The deck was still closed as a couple of my co-workers began to bring tables and chairs out. An hour ago, the deck had been full of seaweed and debris, but now it was spotless and almost ready to open. I greeted them, and they showed me where the crate was. It was exactly where the chef said it was, and it was barely moving with the waves, which had calmed down. It was also a good distance down because of the tide, but the chef probably wanted it removed before the customers came out on the deck.
I got down on my hands and knees and then laid down near the edge of the deck, conscious of how my clothes would be rumpled after all this. I put my hands out towards the crate, but my fingertips only brushed it. I cautiously scooted out of the edge some and tried again. I still couldn't grip the crate correctly. I scooted out some more and leaned over the deck.
I could see a bit under the deck this time, and I heard a gasp. I saw a woman in a pink top and with hair the color of the ocean, and she was tangled up in seaweed that liked to grow near and under the deck. She thrashed when she knew that I had seen her.
"Don't worry, miss. I'll help you," I said to calm her. I scooted backwards and got up.
One of my co-workers was curious. "What's there?"
"Someone got trapped in the seaweed." I thought about what to do. "Don't tell the manager about this." I took a Pokeball out of my shirt pocket underneath my vest. The manager didn't want us trying to pick Pokemon fights with the customers so we were not allowed to bring Pokemon to work. But I kept this one with me all the time, just in case. A rainbow Vivillion came out of the Pokeball. "Help the person who is trapped underneath the deck." My Vivillion disappeared underneath, and after a few minutes, the woman was following him. When he came back up to me, something surprising happened. The woman flipped on her back and splashed a large fish tail in the waves. I could only stare dumbfounded.
"Hi. Thanks. The storm pushed me underneath there, and I couldn't get out. I'm hungry so I'm going to try to find food. Some nice, juicy fish. I'm Leah, by the way," the mermaid said.
I had recovered by then. "Happy to have helped you, miss."
She disappeared beneath the waves.
To this day, she still sometimes visits, waiting near the deck.
Other notes:
One of the ideas I had for the contest was having the waiter deal with two trainers from another region who were hot-headedly trying to start a Pokemon battle in the middle of the restaurant. It came up again with the mention of the manager and the Pokemon ban. I can see an impulsive, teenage waiter (a different one than the official waiter character) trying to start a fight with a young trainer stopping at the restuarant. Dishes flying and furniture being knocked over.
That Leah eats fish Pokemon is implied on the site itself. When you trade fish Pokemon with her, sometimes she says "MMM... Delicious." It would also explain why they are afraid of mermaids and why Leah wants fish fresh from the ocean.
The waiter is gay - hence, the rainbow Vivillion. The contest was hosted at the same time as the pride event, and he seemed the most likely canidate amoung the NPCs to be gay.
Due to the proximity of where they are at, it seemed likely that Leah and the waiter would have met at least once. The restuarant doesn't serve fish so that is probably why she asks you for fish.

The only practical use for battle outside of pvp is getting summon items from rumbling. You have to defeat the Pokemon you are trying to get. Level 100 makes it easy. Level 50 - 70 is a more reasonable challenge and can involve some luck and skill. Any Pokemon below level 50 will probably not make it, even with good type defenses. Having defenses stats be at least 115+ and HP at least 175+, along with decent attack stats and type resistances and type attack advantages, can help.
Though only a single type shows up in the eggs in the lab for double type Pokemon, double types work as normal here. With both physical and special attacks, you can choose which of the Pokemon's types you can attack with for double type Pokemon (like you can choose which one of Charizard's types, fire or flying, to use for attack). This is particularly useful since double type Pokemon can be used for rumbling to get summon items, and there are more type possibilities that way. Since they don't learn moves, they can't use attacks that aren't their type(s). So if you have a single type Pokemon that is fighting against an opponent that is completely immune to its type, you are pretty much out of luck and will do no damage at all.
Charging power one time more than doubles the attack damage. Charging more than once doesn't really add much more to the damage so it is a wasted turn to charge twice or more before attacking. If you charge and then do something else (like block), you lose your charge and have to do it again.
Blocking lessens or completely negates damage, even if the Pokemon has a type weakness to the attacker's type. Blocking does not always work. When a Pokemon blocks, it always takes the first turn in battle (unless both Pokemon are blocking).
A regular heal seems to heal about 25% or less of a Pokemon's HP, and whether it works or not is fickle. You have only three chances to heal during a single battle. Super heal seems to heal about 50% - 75% of a Pokemon's HP and is much more reliable and works more consistantly. You need to charge a Pokemon one time before you can use it, and you only have three chances (seperate from a normal heal) to use it during a single battle. Though be careful not to wait too long. Even if your Pokemon is much faster and will always go first in battle, attempts at healing tends to get bumped down to the last action taken in battle. The opponent will go first in attacking or defending itself before your Pokemon has a chance to heal itself.
Maps and Pokemon that can do well on them. This is more focused on easily obtainable / inexpensive Pokemon so it doesn't include legendaries and other high priced Pokemon for most of them.

Attack Bonus: 2x bonus to your Pokemon's attack
Attack Reduction: 1/2 damage to your Pokemon's attack
No Damage: No damage when your Pokemon attacks
Resistant to: 1/2 damage taken by your Pokemon
Weak to: 2x damage taken by your Pokemon
Immune to: No damage taken by your Pokemon
For dual types, the attacks stay seperate types, but the defenses combine types. For immunity, I think they takes priority over resistances and weaknesses. Some types cancel each other out for resistance / weakness, and some get an extra resistance / weakness, marked by x2 in paranthesis after the type that is extra.
