Shadow Lugia

If you are going to suggest new pokèmons, come up with a plot or story for it to be added in the Emera Town.
If you going to suggest [Regular] Event Pokèmons, PM the spriters.

Or in order for someone to explore the map they need Lugia and at the end they have to battle Shadow Lugia and if you win you get Shadow Lugia's Egg/Egg voucher.

The map name could be Cipher's Headquarters.
Let me remind you PokèHeroes town is peaceful, with only a little trouble here and there like the halloween event and weird weathers.
While it is true that some legendaries only need a map or an item to get it, doesn't mean a Shadow Lugia can't just easily have a map on its own, as it is a corrupted pokemon which is well, evil, and is a huge plot material to that one pokemon game. Plus, one of Rowan's flavor text mentioned shadow pokemons, there might be an event soon regarding this or Riako is screwing around with us.
But here are some questions.
Why did it come here? Why is it here? What does it want? Why is it where it is? Where is it in Emera Town?
Even so, the halloween events and weathers are still acceptable.
PokèHeroes is a breeding and adoptable website. Emera Town is a peaceful place.
Having an event where you have to beat bad guys is irrelevant. Even if PokèHeroes is an MMORPG in its core, it is still an adoptable and breeding website, and I'm pretty sure some other users agree and like the way it is. Having an evil organization is not 'peaceful', having to fight some bad guys is not 'peaceful', having bad things happens to pokemons is not 'peaceful'.
While it is true that this has happened, read the date. The event happened exactly 10 Years Ago, the town has changed a lot then. We, the trainers, only investigated this case.
And also, death, suicide, etc was hinted but it is not canon. It is up to the userbase to figure out the truth that has happened around 10 years ago.
So anyway, that's the point of adoptable websites. It's just like that, there' events and all, but then thats it. Sometimes the same old is fun. Like the pokemon games- you are a 10 years old, you went on a journey with your starter pokemon, you save the world, after that you can do other stuff. We also have some other minigames and events, so it's not just clicking, adopting and hatching,
And the so called "same old" is boring. After you beat the evil team in a story and after you collect every pokemon you want and battle a lot, what is there left to do? Pokemon X and Y for example was fun but it quickly became boring after the plot and all that was left to do was just collect more pokemon. Even the mini games and what not get boring after some time as well which is why they have to input new events and mini games all the time to keep people's attention and what I proposed will keep people entertained for at least some extent of time.
Let me show you a site. It's an adoptable website. The process is always the same - adopt pets once a month, there's events on special occasions, there's sometimes event where it's different from the other such as stickers raffle and when that happens, some users don't really care and treat it the same as other events. The site has been around for 8 years now and has over 70,000 registered users. Some may not be active but they enjoyed their stay nonetheless.
A game doesn't necessarily have to be fun in aspect and have a lot of new events for you to have fun, remember what I said- this site is an adoptable website not an mmorpg. An adoptable website have that one repetitive thing about them that users enjoy, it may get old sometimes but that's an adoptable website for you. Even that, Riako added some events here and there for users like us to enjoy, and for me, that is enough.
Also, the process in which a game doesn't always have to follow a predetermined plan for how that type of game works. Sure this is an adoptable website, but who is to say this can be the one website with a fun and innovative twist that will keep users active. If we keep users active then at least all the data on their accounts won't be wasted because I can assure you that even though this website has 65,000 registered users I extremely doubt that the majorities of those accounts still go onto PH. Then after these accounts are never used again and what good is that? Some people have their own reasons for not logging in to their accounts but I find a lot of people are leaving due to boredom. An event like this (and those that are yet to come) are what make people active here, not solely of course but I think it contributes greatly to how people view the site. And the people who left due to boredom; did they really enjoy their time here?
For some it may be all you need. But let's be honest, you enjoy the events that Riako makes for us and they mostly consist of that one repetitive thing; interacting with eggs/pokemon. If you look at my second last post, I said that this event would satisfy the need to interact while giving a story to why you are interacting rather than just interacting for the sake of it. And besides this is only an event its not like this will change everything, it will just add to the site and its list of things that you can do.
But anyway-
Even if you come up with a detailed plot for it, you still have a no support from me/I'm neutral. I don't really care for events, I buy the event pokemons and such. I don't mind if you make it some kind of an event but for me, Emera Town is a peaceful place, even if there's canon crimes here and there. I like PokèHeroes' plot, where it's just a small town that is peaceful, no bad guys, no disasters happening, no 'save the world'. However, if Riako want to change that I don't really mind either, I just like a chill game where nothing sinister is happening. Where you are not forced to be the good guy and save the godamn world. I do not play pokemon games, I just like the franchise.
And also, since this is going to be an event it'd at least be up only for a month, then what's the point if it? After it ends, users might wait for more events or just quit because that's it. That's all the event has to offer.
But if it's an ongoing thing, then you have a no support from me.
I'll end my argument here.
But besides that, I don't think I would want this to last forever because if it did then it would also become boring in time and if it didn't last then people would want more which would be good for the site. It would make people want more events as you said. And the more people the more support the site gets.
In the long run though I just want Riako to at least give an opinion on the plot and if he is willing to add this to PH, at least then I can say I contributed to the site in some way.
Fun fact - every suggestion mentioning an evil team or evil scientists has been rejected because Emera is a peaceful, small island. Where would the team go? How are they hiding?
If shadow Lugia was implemented, wouldn't it make A LOT more sense if Professor Rowan or Mewton M. Meowth had received a shipment of "special eggs" from the Orre Region, some of which are "compromised" (IE. Shadow Lugia)
Or even make it something like a 1/100 chance that a lugia voucher is compromised by dark matter (or something) and hatches a Shadow Lugia?
Dark Matter is the whole "negative emotions" thing and I can already see some of it forming between you guys :3
If you can read this, you know how to read.

The professor gets eggs and pokemon from out of the area. If, and this is a big if, maybe the item for Shadow Lugia could have you go through him to get the egg. It could be something along the lines of a shadow ticket item, and when you take it to him, he says something such as:
"Oh, you found a shadow ticket! That's something that I misplaced, because it is supposed to be earned by trainers to take care of a special egg that came in. It was experimented on, elsewhere, and we are trying to find a way to reverse the effects. We think that being with a loving trainer might be able to help, so I'd like for you to take care of it for me and see what happens. Oh, be warned, though, it will break your chain, if you have one going."
[Yes, take the strange egg || No, it can wait]
This takes away the whole evil in Emera part corrupting it, but at the same time adds the pokemon to the site. And, obviously, it won't revert back to a normal Lugia, because even in the official game, it takes the purification chamber with a perfect set (on all of them) to get it to purify.
Well, I support Nessy's and Navuso's suggestion. I'm not the one to add ideas, I just point out holes and personal opinions and such. But I like both of yours' suggestion. It doesn't just fill the holes that has been discussed but it also seemed interesting enough, even if it's just simple. It can be improved, that is.
