Ferris walked into the house labeled "Underground Man's House," and saw the Underground Man sitting in the middle.
"Hello, young'uns! Yeh came here ta learn how ta dig Underground, right? Right? Well, yeh're in luck! I have these two Explorer Kits right here! I'll give 'em to yeh two right now! Only condition: yeh haff ta bring me at least three Spheres. Got it? Perfect! Here yeh go!"
The old man forced the Explorer Kits upon Ferris and Green and shoved them out the door without asking if they accepted the condition.
"W-well, at least digging Spheres was our plan anyway... eheheh..." Ferris said.

Ferris took his small pickaxe and began to hit the wall in the areas that sparkled. He uncovered something red and shiny. "Should we try to dig this thing out? The wall might collapse if we do, but I think it's worth a shot..."

Ferris dug out the red, shiny thing and found that it was a Red Sphere. "Is this one of the things the Underground Man wanted? We just need two more!"

Without turning around, Ferris replied, "You know it's not safe to battle Underground. You'd cause the whole cave system to collapse!" After all, "Hey!" did tend to mean "Look me in the eye!" and when trainers lock eyes, they have to battle.
