Time to Light it Up...
Forum-Index → Roleplay → RP Sign-up → Time to Light it Up...Rhea packed up. She had changed to a short sleeved shirt and shorts and packed a jacket in case. Of course all turquoise. She set out back into the woods. She had never really gotten to explore the town. She walked until she got there. She heard roars and shout but kept going. She walked into the main mall and saw that it was mostly intact. She decided to take whatever since nobody else seemed to be around. She got a new tent and sleeping bag, a couple of new clothes, and a new gun and bullets. As she walked she came across a jewelry store and went in. She knew she wouldn't rkeally need it but she look a gold ring with a diamond. She put it safley away and saw an animal with a blood trail coming down the hall. She hid behind the counter and waited.
Brunhilde then got worried, the other woman was now screeching wildly and even whipping her head back, she couldn't see the stranger she had once protected. With a faint growl in her throat, she kept her eyes on the animal but heard the screaming intensify. Moving her gun slightly, she didn't keep her eyes off of the creatures.
Zaire grew tired of waiting. With a heave, he brought his massive body onto the riverside, a slight grunt and huff under his clamped jaws as he dragged himself there. He was well aware of the fact that there were lions nearby, but he also knew that if they dared tred or even come close to the depths of the murky river that they'd be no match for him, or the multiple crocodiles that hungrily slithered in the depths, their bodies camouflaged and eyes idle, yet eerily shining. No matter, Zaire grumbled to himself, They always come to the water eventually.
Ghembo
Ghembo's ears pricked as two of his six senses picked up on a disturbance. His ears detected a shuffle and the crunch of plants beneath something massive. The other sense knew that the plants were being destroyed. He growled to warn the human, before circling around her. Even if she was a human, he needed to defend his prey. He told himself that he was protecting his lunch, not the person itself. He summoned up a tree's will, ready to defend himself with more than just his claws and teeth.

Brunhilde, although her heart was still racing, felt slightly calmed by the fact that the lion didn't seem to attack her or treat her viciously. With a click of her gun, she once again positioned it into a comfortable, firm grip, aiming it at the forest and bushes in front, ready to fire.
Ghembo
Ghembo's ears twitched uncontrollably until he could contain it no longer. With a wary glance at the human with her rifle, he made a low growl, getting her prepared for the roar that she would undoubtedly hear. To the silence of the woods, he roared, "Who goes there? I ask in the name of Ghembo, leader of Pride!" He waited.

Brunhilde didn't openly show fright of the creature's roar, but did feel a sense of dread, knowing if she did anything wrong, she could be dead in a matter of seconds. Looking over her shoulder, the woman was now gone and silently prayed that she was at least safe and sound and not attacked by any others that may be hanging around. Noticing that there was no response from whatever the lion was roaring at, she warily took one step forward, bent down and dug her hand into the ground, rifle clenched in the other and hurled a lump of soil and rock over to where the noise came from, but again, no response came.
Ghembo
Ghembo roared in anger when no reply came back. The sound easily covered up the plop of dirt hitting the water. By this time, the head warrior, a young lioness whose element was water, bounded up to him. "What is it?" She hissed under her breath, barely above a whisper.
"Crocodiles... I think. I have heard wolves howling but the scent around her does not match theirs."
The lioness cracked open her jaws, drinking in the air. "You are right. I am not sure though... elemental or not?"
Ghembo grimaced. Elemental creatures, no matter what type, where always a problem. He shook his mane out and replied, "Let's hope they are not elementals."
The lioness dipped her head in agreement. "If they are this will be more trouble than we bargained for." She turned and eyed the human suspiciously. "What's it doing here?"
"Don't worry about the human. It just stands there. I am surprised that rumors about their noses being dull is true."
"Why? How do you know?"
He cocked his head, an odd position for a creature such as a lion. "It is not sniffing."
The lioness inspected the human, her eyes going wide with surprise. "You're right. It isn't sniffing.Yet it seems aware."
"It does seem that way, doesn't it?"
Brunhilde could see that there was now a lioness but was hesitant to say anything. One wrong move and most likely scenario was sudden death. With a roll of her eyes and a slight growl of anger with the lack of knowledge she had about these creatures, she clicked her gun and fired out, even if she weren't to hit something, surely some reply would come.
Ghembo
The huntress's tail whipped. "We should get out of here. I've heard rumors about a vicious crocodile pride running amok."
"At the pack meetings? I have as well. The convention is so large that they might have been there. I wouldn't imagine why they wouldn't..." Ghembo shook his head. "You're right. Let's get out of here. But..."
Ghembo summoned roots hidden by many layers of soil and bent and twist it into a sort of sphere around the human. It took less than a minute for the ball to fully form. Ghembo summoned spores from around him and scattered them all over the sphere. The human would not be of much trouble now.
The lioness glanced at him questioningly but he shook his head. "Stay behind and summon other members of the pride. What the crocodile pride is asking for is trouble and they are going to get it."
The lioness dipped her head before releasing a powerful, commanding roar. No words were hidden behind it, just a call of help. The wolves yipped and scattered. Without an alpha, they were timid and easily frightened and they fled.
Ghembo knew that the spores would knock out the human (supposedly), but he was sure to roll it carefully. He knew that humans were fragile and broke easily. Behind him, he could hear the answering roar of the lions.
Okay, well Ghembo is carting off Brunhilde, I think I'll RP as the lioness for awhile, for the supposed battle.
Zaire let out another roar from his jaws and raised himself to a greater height, turning to face the lionesses that came, "Pathetic idiots!" he snarled, anger in his voice, "Get out of our river before each of you die a painful death!" with another lash of his tail, he sent a wave towards his opponents before he, and his followers remained in the river, waiting for the lions to strike, for if they came in deep enough water, they'd be killed before they knew it.
