Ghembo gave an approving grunt as she swung her machine up at his head. Though he would defend himself against the human, he felt strangely drawn to her. (Fuuudggee... this is already happening? Gersh, I said no human/animal friendships. Maybe things are changing...) In a way, she was like him, just wanting to survive. Well, he was a little power hungry. But because of that reason he pulled back from his tackle. He paused, surveying the human with golden eyes.

(HERE COMES ZAIRE! xD)
Zaire was lounging around one of those filthy river-banks, his sharp jaws overhanging and his body still, camouflaged against the dirty ground. He was well aware of the fact that lions were close, humans and other creatures, but unlike those, he took pride in his sly and cunning nature, knowing that soon, the river must be crossed for either species to get to the higher, more protective grounds. With a blink of an amber eye, he kept himself still, ambitious and eager for prey to arrive.
Ariana lay low in the bushes for a moment, taking note of the dagger the woman was holding. She didn't want to be injured further, but this was an amazing opportunity for a meal...
Ghembo
The woman sat down and lowered her weapon. In any other situation she already would have been dead, whether by the animal's elemental powers, or just by the animal itself. She seemed to be small and scarce now that she was lowered to the ground. He cocked his ears to her and slowly laid down on the ground.
(Permission to kill or nah?)
Ghembo
Ghembo's head jerked as the woman fled the scene. The other lion would catch up with her soon enough. He saw the other female with the strange weapon that the people always seemed to be toting around and snorted softly, signifying that he was not afraid and not disturbed by the other woman. He flicked his tail and glared at the woman; he didn't like that she was standing while he was sitting on the ground, vulnerable.
