After she was done putting them away she came back, with little
information, she signaled them to follow her into her office.
Giving time for Collin to heal up and rest for a bit while they
talked. I wonder if that was an accident or not
Aurora stayed silent and nodded, knowing she was most likely right
helped her stay silent and wait for the master to fill her in
fully. She chuckled as Erebus bent down to greet Kuro, but stopped
short, she figured it was from the last time he tried to greet
Kuro, and the wolf had been in such a mood that he bit the
unsuspecting boy.
Kuro nudged Erebus's hand, showing he was in a good mood. He
quietly barked his reply, which Aurora translated, "Hey Erebus! I'm
well, a bit tired from our mission. Have you been well?" It still
amazed her that the wolf had such an understanding of the English
language, though she figured it was due to him having been around
humans for such a long time.
Aurora's head swiveled as Virginia walked back in the main hall. As
the master motioned for them, she made her way towards the master,
knowing Kuro and Erebus would soon be at her heels.
Being nudged by Kuro, Erebus took it as a good sign and petted Kuro
a bit, Listening to Aurora translate Erebus smiled. "I was doing
well too, maybe just a bit more tired than you today." Hearing
master Virginia Erebus stood up following behind Aurora, Well
things got quite heated today, but hopefully it wasn't a planned
strike at us, otherwise things may get lively quick.
"I probably taken a rumor you had heard about a building being a
attack today, well apparently it was one of Black Diamond's slave
houses, and You remember Trickester Right?, he has been working for
Master Hidy for quick some time now, when I'd sent out Erebus and
Collin to retrieved Trickester, Collin descided to investigate an
area" she in fill them.
She listened silently, taking all of the information in. once the
master finished speaking, she made her comments, "So...Collin, was
he attacked? And did Trickester get away?" I can't believe that
Trickester is working with Master Hidy...If I ever run into her,
I'll give her a piece of my mind!
Kuro followed behind them, on Aurora's left side. He could
understand perfectly what was being said, and the look in his eyes
suggested to her that he did not like what he was hearing.
"No Trickster is locked up in the special are of the guilds cells."
Erebus said in response to Aurora's question, then had an
expression of sheer rage. He then added, "master Virginia i would
like to go investigate that place once more, i may find a clue to
the whereabout's of Hidy, because aside from her there was no one
there that could have caught Collin."
Aurora's eyes hardened and her jaw set. Before master Virginia
could speak, she made her mind known. "Master Virginia, I want to
go with Erebus. Kuro has a great nose and could be of assistance.
And I want to help out, since I was gone when all of this
happened." If I had been here, maybe Collin wouldn't be
hurt...
"No, our Guild will not put you two endangered" she said. She'd
reached into her desk and pulled out a bone and an assignment,
Master Virginia handed Aurora the bone and handed Erebus the paper,
"Since Collin is an Ice wizard, he'll be use for this mission, once
he is fully awake feel free to tell him the mission" she said
Simply turning around, Erebus handed the paper to Aurora saying
"I'll read the mission when Collin wakes up, Until then I'll be in
my personal training room." Everyone that knew Erebus well
understood that when he went to his personal training room he was
truly enraged, because of his normal nature even though he would
get mad he only went to his training room in rare cases.
Aurora gripped the paper in her hands as she watched Erebus walk
off to his personal training room, his rage evident through his
posture and destination. She herself was a bit angry that they
couldn't go, but she also understood the reasoning behind it. They
couldn't have two more wizards injuried, if something happened.
"I'm going to check up on Collin." Was all she said as she headed
off, intending to wait till her fellow ice wizard woke up, unless
he was already awake. As she walked away, she handed Kuro the bone
to chew on. He happily took it, the sounds of his teeth knawing
were all that filled the air.
Jolting up, Collin raised his hands infront of him, wrenching at
the pain. He slowly knew where he was, he was at the top floor in
the recovery room in BlueWing's massive roof. Useless for
nothing he thought. He couldn't shake off the feeling of Master
Hidy's plan
It took Aurora a couple of minutes to walk up to the recovery room,
her nerves growing with each step. She had no idea what all did
happen to Collin, or how he would react once he woke up.
She stopped at the door to the room, taking a deep breath to calm
her heavy nerves. Once she was ready, Kuro and she walked through
the door, unprepared for the sight in front of them. Collin was
sitting in an upright position, his hands limp in front of him. He
looked a mix of defeated, enraged, and lost.
Aurora said nothing as she walked over to the side of his bed. She
glanced at Kuro, sending him a silent message that he understood
quickly. He ran out of the room, his goal to find Erebus and inform
him somehow that Collin had woken up. She stayed and clutched the
paper in her hand, wiling to wait in silence for however long she
felt was necessary. Aurora had no clue what to say to Collin in
this situation, and she felt herself becoming awkward with the
silence.
Feeling a presence, he looked at Aurora, "Hey what's up?9 he said,
putting his hand around his eye he felt an eye patch, recalling
before he back out, he remember the guy talking to him about
something and then Collin had insulted him about it, and the guy
whipped his eye and he had blacked out. "Where's kuro?" He asked.
He is acting normal, that's good. He must be okay, or at least
he is acting like it... She smiled gently at him as she greeted
him, "Hello Colin. How are you?" She noticed him run his hand over
his eye, an eye patch protecting him. She hoped his eye wasable to
be saved, though if it were not, she knew he would be able to make
the best of it.
"Ah, he went to go get Erebus. I sure he would want to know that
you were awake." She paused, having a mental fight with herself
over if she should mention the mission yet or not. "Um, master
Virginia has an assignment for us. I haven't exactly read what it
is about yet, we wanted to wait for you..." Welp that was great,
I probably should have waited. There is no telling how long it will
take Erebus to get here...Why must I get awkward sometimes? I just
never know what to say to comfort people when they get
injuried...
Inside his training room, Erebus sat crossed legged after
unleashing a few new techniques, I need to get stronger, but i
also need to keep my anger in check, calm mind silent and serene
heart, he reminded himself he was not an orphan anymore he had
people that trusted him and that he trusted, he must not act like
he used to being brash and out of control. Several minutes passed
and after calming down, he left his training room only to find Kuro
there, "if your here does that mean Collin is awake?" Kuro started
running towards the upper stairs in response to the question,
running quickly following him Erebus and Kuro reached the top floor
in just a short while.
"I'm doing great, how about you?, Cool a mission what kind?" He
asked sitting up more straighter he noticed that she was feeling
awkward about the situation, " really I am fine Aurora, it's just a
few marks" he said calmly.
"I'm glad to hear that, really. I am doing well." She spoke gently,
her heart on ease a bit more about his condition. She wanted to
wait for Erebus before she started explaining their assignment. She
hoped Kuro and him were close though.
Her face reddened from embarassment as he mentioned specifically to
her that he was fine. He knew I was acting weird...That's
embarrassing! I need to become better at hiding my awkwardness!
Though I am glad he said it with such calmness, it truly does make
me believe he is alright. "Okay Collin, I believe you. Is it
alright if I wait for Erebus before I read the assignment?"
"Sure, I don't mind, how was your mission was it fun?" He said
continuing the conversation, he wander how long he was out for,
probably enough for a few things to happen he was glad that the
Guild wasn't attacked while he was out.
She chuckled at the mention of her mission, remembering how
simplistic and easy it had been. "It was an easy mission, so I
could have had more fun if it had been a bit more challenging. We
had to take out some bandits that were terrorizing a town. They
turned out to be weak, class c ranked wizards, instead of class a,
as the mission had said." She knew Collin would understand how
boring a mission like that could be, when you are expecting a
challenge and get something completely different.
Opening the door and seeing Collin up and conversing helped Erebus
be a bit more at ease, "Yo glad to see you up 'Frosty'" he said in
his usual joking manner. Upon closely inspecting Collin, Erebus
guessed that for a full recovery would take about half a day. "It's
good your alright, but master Virginia has another assignment or
us, but we can leave tomorrow after you have fully rested."
