Because I am a premium member my Pokeradar is on all the time -- I think there should be an option to turn it off when it is not in use.

I don't like the fact that it is on when I am not shiny hunting.
Why?

Because I keep on getting random messages from people saying an egg I got from wherever will 'break my chain'.
Or people begging me to do a shiny hunt for them -- it is annoying.

A simple on and off switch would be nice, so we can turn it on and off when we need or do not need it.

I don't see much of a point to this, but I still support. The reasons you state are good. I remember seeing somebody with a chain of 2 for Chespin and wondered how they were able to shiny hunt it. After that, I found out you couldn't turn off your radar. This makes stalking too easy since people can see every single thing you hatch and ask you for it/offer on the 'shiny hunt'. It would make things less complicated off Premium users could choose to turn off their radar.

That is a good option as well -- making it so it doesn't show up on your trainer page.
Either option is a good one, so long as you can 'turn it off' somehow so others don't see it.

Felt a little awkward to click the reject button but uhh...

It seems that this is more about the notifications than the pokeradar, i.e. if the pokeradar works, but only behind the scenes, then there would be no complaint. So maybe the important thing is to disable notifications for low chain numbers (say <5), as well as have the option of not displaying it on your profile page.

This has my full support aswell- Especially because I tend to do lab hunting a lot and during that time I don't really need the radar to be turned on.

I just think this would be a good idea for the premium because my cousin tried shiny hunting only one time just to try it out and she is prenium. She doesn't like that it stays on cause she probably won't do another one since she likes Pokemon in the normal look.

Plus it is really weird for it to stay on if you aren't doing one. After every egg you watch it says you are starting a hint for that one. I don't want premium because of that.

I know this thread is old but it would really help to have this implemented.
