Leli heard a rustle from the bushes. She saw grass, water, and the occasional flying type. "Who might you be, darling?" a Yanma asked. Leli stepped back. "Oh-oh um.. My name is Leli. I'm sorry if I trespassed. I was just curious so I-um.."

"We'd really hate if you left," a tiny Budew said sadly. Leli looked at him. She glanced up at the Yanma and Wartortle. "I'm sorry, but I really have to leave," she said, turning away to leave. She sprinted forward and stretched her front paws forward and she started to glide, but Budew had a grip on her tail with Vine Whip.

Leli snarled at Budew. "Let go this instant," she growled, her red eyes blazing with fury. "Stay with us," it chanted. Soon all of the Pokémon - Budew, Wartortle, Yanma, Swablu, Swadloon, and Leafeon - were all chanting it. Their eyes were completely black. Leli cut the vine with one of her back claws and flew away as fast as possible.

Leli was about halfway to the cliff she was familiar with by now. She saw Bellatone, Blaze, and Midnight searching for her. Maybe she could slip past them. She glided upward past their range of vision then landed back on the cliff. She sprinted into the familiar forest and breathed in the scents she knew. Grass, leaves, flowers... She could have forgotten these distinct ones, forever...

The Pokémon that had once been there were now replaced by distorted shadows. Strange, distorted shadows. They were gone in an instant. As Bellatone reached the island Leli had previously been on, she called to Midnight and Blaze.

Leli had reached the place where Blaze, Bellatone, and Midnight were beforehand. She stared glumly at the empty nests. "I thought they would have noticed by now," she said.
