Ash returned Alakazam into his pokeball in time to see a Lapras use Surf on the Purple Lucario. The blue outline whizzed by again taking lapras away.

Ash forgets he saw the blue outline but remembers noticing the lapras following something so he returned Alakazam and Froakie and chased after Lapras.
