Magnolia got up and quickly followed after Wither, telling Dark to
stay behind and guard the ship and keep the other rebels from
entering until Tony checked it out.
''he could be anywhere Wither, how about we go to the cafeteria and
see what there is to eat today'' she said, humming quietly.
Wither sighed in defeat, knowing that they could at least make a
small effort to find him and hope for the best. She began playing
out everything that could possibly go wrong in the time that they
went to go eat instead of finding Tony as she said, "Sure, why
not." Wither walked beside Magnolia as they entered the base.
''oh relax Wither! i left Dark on the airship, he's not gonna let
anyone on that ship until Tony gets to check it out'' she said,
crossing her arms and grinning.
"I know. Can't help but worry, though," Wither said, humming
lightly. She rested her parasol on her shoulder and spun it back
and forth. Void remained silent as he looked around the base,
taking in the details even though they would be relocating soon.
"There are cannons," Wither suggested. They had made sure to take
the nicest airship possible; the airship was one used as a portable
living habitat for the soldiers, and a nice one too. The demons had
luxuries that the rebels couldn't afford and Wither had spitefully
taken advantage of this. "It'll take a bit of adapting but I think
it'll turn out as a good decision in the long run."
"Well, again, it's a living habitat meant mostly for soldiers,"
Wither said, entering the mess hall, "there's definitely an archery
range somewhere." "It's nicer than the one we have
here. I've checked," Void confirmed, flicking his tail.
''alright, i hadn't gotten the chance to really explore the ship so
i couldn't really say anything too much whether there was one or
not'' she said.
a pink haired teen poked his head around a small fully stocked
cookie shelf and smiled brightly, waving at Wither and Magnolia
cheerfully.
"Hello, Nanami," Wither greeting, a small smile on her face. She
walked closer to the cookie shelves, Void looking up at the
stranger in confusion. "Greetings," he said politely, his head
cocked slightly.
''Nana-ki! not Nana-mi! i've told you this how many
times have i corrected you for saying my name wrong?'' Nanaki
questioned, puffing his cheeks out a bit as he looked at her.
Magnolia chuckled quietly and grinned as she stood beside Wither.
"Ah, right. Sorry. I'm getting closer," Wither replied smoothly,
ruffling his hair a bit and smiling. "It did take me a terribly
long time to get everyone's names, though. I do admit to calling
Magnolia 'Gardenia' for the first few years." She pulled back.
"I'll get it eventually," she teased, looking over at Void.
''oh don't remind me....'' Magnolia grumbled, but faintly blushed
while looking away.
Nanaki laughed a little and smiled.
''it's fine, just call me Nana for short if you want, anyway, what
are you wanting to get? i could go whip something up for ya'' he
offered.
"Hey, Void," Wither called, nudging him lightly with her foot. He
looked up at her, annoyed. "You eat meat, right?" Void blinked in
surprise and nodded. "I'll just take a steak, then," Wither said,
turning back to Nanaki with a smile.
"Oh my, your cheeks are a bit--" Wither began, looking at Magnolia
with concern. She turned around and saw Spectrum, who was waving
happily. "Hello!" Spectrum said, walking closer to them. "Oh, who's
this?" She said, her eyes darting away from them. "Name's Void." His bushy
tail swished. Spectrum beamed, "Well it's nice to meet you." She
looked back up at Magnolia and Wither. "Hey, you guys don't have
anything to do with the, um... giant airship outside of base, do
you?" She stirred the tea in her hand. Kaleidoscope spoke to Void
softly, introducing herself.
Magnolia looked over and grinned, tilting her head slightly.
''uh-huh~ stole it from the demon's airfield with ease, right now
Dark's keepin' an eye on it til Tony can check it out'' she said.
"Oh, that's cool!" Spectrum said, clasping her hands in front of
her chest. "So, um... why?" She blinked rapidly out of
confusion.
"With the declining space and recent attacks, I'd figured it was
time to relocate... also because it would just be a hassle to
relocate every single time that an attack happened. So now the base
is portable, too," Wither replied, smiling.
Spectrum's face fell. "He's, um... He's in his room, but I don't
think now is the best time to bother him. Aqua said he's not doing
too well," she said, the worry spreading across her face. She
stirred her tea a bit faster and Kaleidoscope retreated to her side
again.
