A young girl was running through a forest, she couldn't have been more than 10 years old. Her breath was coming out in panicked gasps and she had tears in her eyes. She was tired, every breath she took was burning in her lungs and her feet hurt like a thousand needles had been stabbed in them but she kept running.

She could hear them closing in on her. She could hear their hurried footsteps and yells as they chased her. She let out a terrified choke as her face met a branch. Warm blood trickled from the wound that it left on her cheech but the girl paid no mind to it.

As she glanced behind her, she could see the ones chasing her and her breath hitched. She failed to notice a root of a tree sticking up from the ground before it was too late. She fell to the ground face down, letting out a cry of pain.

She looked behind her, they were almost at her. She could see the victorious grins on their faces. Frozen from fear or with no strenght to even get up, the girl stayed on the ground and let out a miserable sob as she realized they had her.

It's the year 2561 and the world is inhabitet by gijinkas.
547 years ago the scientists managed to successfully combine human and pokemon DNA, creating the first known gijinka. However, the young boy fused with a purrloin didn't survive for long, the fusing process was far from perfect. After the first gijinka had been created, the world's most skilled scientists started working on creating stabilized gijinkas, ones that would stay alive and could even have offspring.

After 25 years of research, the scientists made a breakthrough. They could now combine human and pokemon DNA with no complications, producing gijinkas that were strong and full of life.

The usual happened when playing god. Everything went wrong. The gijinkas were too strong and too full of life. They refused to live as lab rats in captivity. The gijinkas broke out of the laboratory, destroying all research exactly 25 years after the first gijinka had been created.

At first the gijinkas were fugitives with everyone trying to hunt them down. The general public only knew them as failed lab experiments that carried a deadly disease. However, as the government failed to capture all the gijinkas and the public's knowledge of what was going on increased, the gijinkas would be able to have a life. The government agreed on giving gijinkas the same rights as humans.

With the gijinkas being free, they were also free to fall in love. Even though love between a human and gijinka was at first frowned upon, the world started slowly filling with different gijinkas. Some resembled more humans when some had more traits of a pokemon.

However, this change was not completely problem free. With the population of gijinkas rising, pure humans became rarer. Pure pokemons had to step aside as the gijinkas took over. Not many registered this problem before pokemon were at the brink of extinction. Programs to preserve pokemons were started but it was too late. The last known pokemon was a dunsparce under the ownership of prof. Jenkins.

Shocked by the the extinction of pokemons and with the majority of world's population being gijinkas, they took measures to preserve pure humans. Up to this date, only less than 1% of world's population is purely human and very rare to come by. There are laws that quarantee the same rights to humans and gijinkas but the rich pay no mind to them. The ones with money can easily buy a human from the black market. The ones in charge of the market pay to the authorities and the police looks the other way. Humans are being kept as sign for one's wealth.

With the police corrupted, some righteous gijinkas have formed groups to protect humans and free them.

I am allowing creating legendary gijinkas but there are some extra rules for that!
-I must know you and have RPed with you before. I won't give legendaries to any random people.
-You must be a mature RPer in case you wish to have a legendary gijinka. I won't give legendaries away to the mercy of one-liners.
-I won't give permission to many legendaries so that the RP isn't full of them. So be quick or you might lose your chance.
-In case you wish to have a legendary gijinka you must PM me first, asking for permission before posting any forms.

Personality: He is a little over-protective of Tina and thinks of her as his 'Little angel'. Remus really dis-likes other Gijinka's because of their proud behavior, though he has nothing against those who think rationally and are in favor of preserving the human race. Remus is a calm person and like to act slow and think before giving a beating, making him a very anti-violent person. Others still fear him because once you get on his bad-side, you can kiss your life good-bye. Remus tries his best not to get into fights and other mafia business because he is afraid that his sister may be targeted. Remus likes board-games and crossword puzzles and he spends his time learning the potential of his powers or tutoring his little sister. He is a very social person and like to 'read' people as he like to call it. Don't talk about fighting on front of his little sister, he might punch you for it. Remus has a little liking for spicy and dry food but he prefers to eat what his sisters wants to. His whole life revolves around Tina.
History: He lives independently with his sister in a luxurious apartment. Remus is the owner of an organization that deals with the safety of small communities and villages and tries to fulfill their basic needs and requirements. He spares no body who dares threaten this cause. Remus has lived with his parents until their death(it was an ordinary death, his parents were not suffering from any disease. He was 20 when his parents passed away), after that the whole 'organization' mumbo jumbo went on and he now spends his life knowing that this will help his little sister in the distant future.
Other: He is an extremely soft hearted person when it comes to kids.

Character name: Tina Firetree

Appearance:

Personality: She is extremely indecisive and afraid of messing things up. Being only 13 years old, she should have a little liking for goofing off and other teenage girl stuff; In stead, she likes reading books and studying with her brother. She is the main source of Remus's smile, knowing this this makes her very proud of herself. She adores her brother and loves him dearly. Tina is awfully quiet for a 13-year old.
History: She was only 10 old when her parents passed away and so making her an orphan. This is a true fact that Remus had taken care of her and helped her grow to the young innocent and one of a kind kid she is. She feels proud of her brother being such a noble and kind person and is not aware of the difference between her and the gijinka's(thanks to Remus's incredibly great schooling). Her brother has always cut her off from the outside world in fear of his little sister getting hurt, though Tina never minded that.
Other: She likes to play chess with her brother when free.

Character name: Lionel Theodosia(often called as 'Theo' or 'Leo')

Appearance:

Personality: He is short-tempered and doesn't like to work much which makes him end up in trouble. Lionel get's annoyed when other gijinka's mess with his name and make fun of it so he prefers to stay away from society. He is anti-social and doesn't give a damn to about anything that happens to either side(i.e the human's or the gijinka's). He is an apprentice and 'brother'(in Tina's case) of Remus's and works at the Blaziken Gijinka's organisation part-time with his friend 'Ace'. Due to his friend's interest in saving others, Theo is experienced in the art of battle. He even asked Remus to train him in order to get stronger. Despite his weaknesses, he still wins in the end mostly because of his luck. He has an adamant personality and if he see's something he likes, he'll split ocean's to get it. Theo is Brave and he often get's mini heart attacks(due to his disease) when something screw's up. He is also convinced that he is adopted.
History: Theo is just like any other gijinka that grew up in this godforsaken land, the only difference is his skill and unfortunate past. He grew up with Remus and Tina because his parents 'gave him away' due to his heart-disease when he was born. Lionel's parents were rich merchants and great traders in the black market so they had no room in their heart for somebody as weak and puny as him. Originally, Theo was bought from his parent's by Remus's parents who had mercy upon him but they haven't told him yet and they plan to keep this as a secret.
Other: He is afraid of nothing. This gijinka is fearless which makes him strong and stupid.

Appearance:

Personality: Ace is more of a justice and equality lover so he is often seen around streets and other dark places in search of those who need his help. He is a very close friend of Lionel's and loves to make fun of him(sometimes). Ace is a outspoken person and can socialize anywhere. He is a keen battler and has an interest for training and going through excruciating training exercises.
History: He has the most normal history among all his friends. He is an only son and is a favorite of small kids and little gijinka's. Ace made friends with Lionel because he wanted to be a part of Remus's noble cause so he thought of Lionel as the easiest way to do so. After realizing Lionel's condition, he softened his way's towards him and the both of them became the best of friends. He forces his best friend to join him on his raids across the town and to help other gijinka's and humans. Although, Lionel is against this whole 'Save the humans' concept.
Other: He is a very justified person. He would kill his own family if they took part in any unjust activity.

Character name: Lance Tanner

Age: 27

Appearance:

Personality: He doesn't hesitate to speak his mind and usually just does as he pleases, not caring what others think. He's rather stubborn and has a problem with authority. He despises those who won't stand on their own and rely on others. He won't help those who don't deserve it.
History: He was grown up to believe gijinkas were better than humans and had the same arrogant view on humans as many other gijinkas. When he was a teenager, he joined a gang which kidnapped and sold humans. He took joy in catching humans and the gang often competed in who managed to catch the most people during a certain time period. Lance was good at what he did.
However, after years of this activity, he came to doubt his upbringing. His parents had always told him gijinkas were better because humans were weak. As his life went on he enountered gijinkas who were, frankly, weak and humans that wouldn't go down without a good fight. The line between strong gijinkas and weak humans blurred and at the age of 22, he could finally see what he was doing and think on his own. He wasn't too thrilled about what he saw. He cut all his ties to that gang and disappeared for two years. After resurfacing, he joined a group who fights to keep humans free.

Character name: Jonathan Weilen

Gender: Male
Appearance:

Personality: He's rather reserved and usually expects the worst from everyone. However, he's rather fond of the company of others and doesn't like being alone. He's the kind who stands up for the weaker if he has to. When alone, he usually just takes off running when he encounters trouble. If there's somene to protect, you'll have to walk over his dead body.
History: He was sold to a rich wailord gijinka at the age of six and kept as a trophy. The wailord had other humans in captivity as well and kept good care of them. However, the humans were never allowed to interct with each other and spent their lives alone. Many could've argued, they had a better life as objects than out in the world always looking behind their shoulder. Jonathan didn't agree on this, he wanted to be free.
After careful planning and a bit of luck, Jonathan managed to escape after ten years of treated as an object. He never really knew the other humans who were there with him but he wishes to go back for them someday.
Other: Due to his hairstyle, he usually claims he has a small part of scrafty in him to keep gijinkas in need of money off of him.

Character name: Paka (No last name, just Paka, which isn't even his real name.)
Pokemon: Espurr
Age: Estimated around 15-16 (He doesn't bother to keep track.)
Gender: Male
Appearance:

He wears an grey fabric coat that is way too big for him, and the sleeves cover his hands and almost reach his knees. (The coat was his father's, he took it when he ran away from home.) He also wears a purple-ish shirt and pants, and white shoes (with velcro straps). His hands have white gloves on them, but it's hard to tell he's wearing them with his oversized coat sleeves.
Personality: He's a bit withdrawn from the world, which might actually be the Espurr genes kicking in. He likes to think of himself as an observer, simply watching everyone in their silly little lives walk around, doing silly little things. He sometimes tends to space out in the middle of something, especially when someone is trying to talk to him. It's for this reason that most of the other gijinkas regard him as "antisocial" or "weird" and tend to overlook him, except when he begs for food or money. (When he can't get food through his usual means of begging or doing odd jobs, he resorts to stealing.) He also frequently uses the term "cousin" when referring to people, for reasons unknown.
History: As a kid, Paka wasn't as much as the "antisocial" type, but he was rather introverted. He didn't hang out with many of the other kids, and preferred to lose himself in his stories and drawings. At a yound age, his parents decided to send him to a special school far from home. He hated the idea, but his parents were firm about it. In his mind, he decided that if he had to leave home, he might as well not go to school, since he hated school with a passion. He took his sketchbooks and his scarf, along with his dad's coat, and ran away. He didn't stop walking until he reached a town that he thought was far enough away from his parents. At first it was hard for him to live on his own, and he mostly lived on the streets. But he slowly grew used to the hard life, and was able to find food and places to sleep. It was during this time that he met Nicole, who was also a runaway, and the two have been inseperable ever since.
Other: He keeps a couple of sketchbooks and pencils in his coat. He likes to buy new art supplies whenever he has the spare change. He also sometimes gets piercing headaches when his psychic powers get too out-of-control.
Because he lacks ears, a tail, fur, etc. he likes to think that his ancestry is largely human. "80% human" as he puts it.

Character name: Nicole (Nikki) Kensington

Appearance:

(She usually wears skinny jeans and combat boots.)
Personality: Nicole is quite optimistice, considering the situation she's currently in. The most common phrase she says is likely "Well, at least ..." often looking at the best thing that's happened in a situation. She enjoes being the support group, pushing people to success instead of fighting on the front lines. Her mind can't handle multitasking on too many things and she gets nervous in the thick of things, which is why she likes to be more cautious, going only as far as she's comfortable. Her skill that she is most proud of is her stealth. She tends to creep up on people even without meaning to, but when she puts her mind to it, she can travel almost invisibly.
History: Nicole jumped around from owner to owner, usually not staying in one place for more than three years. Some treated her nicely, others barely treated her at all. She managed to escape just two years ago, and while running away, she met Paka. She had mistaken him for a human since he didn't have any ears or a tail. She was only mildly surprised to find that we was indeed a gijinka when she asked. After finding a hiding place, they found out that they were both runaways, and decided to stick together and make an "unstoppable team."
Other: Paka often tells gijinkas that Nicole is with him, or that she is is his human, to avoid her getting kidnapped.

Appearance:

Personality: He is kind and very shy, that's why he doesn't talk much. he likes to be alone, because he does not really like company, which due to his shyness. He hates to be in large crowd, so he is usually hiding on the roofs and trees.
History: He is from the famous ninja Clan, which is well-known from speed, cunning and assassination techniques. He leaved his clan, because his clan used humans as tools. He hates that Gijinkas are using humans as tools, he wants to stop it and that's why he leaved the clan.
Other: He`s ninja and very good on assassination.

Character name: Hiromi
Pokemon: Greninja
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Personality: She is very selfish, irritating and likes to be the center of attention. She also likes to bully the weaker, especially humans. She things that humans are useless slaves, that are only accepted as rubbish. She also hates her big brother, because he is at the humans side.
History: She is from the same ninja clan as his big brother Ginyu. When his brother escaped from the clan, she started to hate him. She has always been envious to him, because he is better almost at everything. Ginyu would have been the next clan leader, but the place is no longer assured. So if he does not return return to the clan, Hiromi will be the next clan leader. Hiromi promised to herself that she will kill her brother if she sees him.
Other: She things that his brother is traitor and she is going to kill him.

Character name: Ryunga

Appearance:

Personality: He is generally calm, but he can get angry and sometimes hurt someone. He likes to wonder through the woods to maintain himself from over reacting.
History: He never got the chance to meet his parents. As an abandoned child, he learned to control himself and to be thankful for what he has. He was a member of a teenaged gang but left when he was critically injured during a gang fight.
Other: he has a robotic right hand (because of the gang fight.)

Character name: Jacob
Pokemon: Pawniard
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Jacob is a majority Pawniard. It's a bit of a problem. For starters, he can't talk. He can't speak: just like the fabled actual Pawniards. Despite the fact he still doe have a mouth, he keeps a dark grey bandanna tied over where his mouth would be. Jacob also has his 'breed's' signature yellow eyes, though that doesn't seem to unsettle people as much as his silence. Keeping his helmet on at all times, the Gijinka actually has black hair underneath the dark grey and red helmet with the blade jutting out of the front. Another unsettling factor about him is his hands: they have blades coming out of the top of the wrists, so when he makes a knuckle the blade stands out farther: not exactly high-five or handshake material. He keeps on a long sleeved red shirt with a black shoulders back and torso, with armor over his shoulders. Thankfully the blades surrounding a Pawniard's torso are missing. He can still give hugs without injury. His red jeans and sneakers easily cover up his feet: exactly like a Pawniard's except flesh toned. Jacob is extremely skinny, to say the least, though he is still mildly strong. He doesn't like too many question about his silence, but too many is a good way to start a fight.
Personality: Jacob is the strong and silent type: though short he can still look intimidating (his blades help) and has managed to fend for himself most of his life. He keeps a small pen and paper on him at all times for anything urgent, but unless it's life or death he'll be silent, and does what he pleases. Jacob often hears things others don't, and no one thinks anything of it since he can't speak. However this allows him to know more than others do: and has been his benefactor almost all of his life. Having gotten over the wish to speak he has worked on lying with facial expressions, making exaggerated gestures on a daily basis to others he doesn't know. On the other hand Megan can understand him with better skill after their time together and doesn't need the extravagant motions. Despite all of this, Jacob is still easily offended and will break out into a fight. He considers himself a freak due to his extreme mutations being so unlike his family's and is often embarrassed of himself when meeting a new person.
History: The Pawniard Gijinka ran away from home after his parents kept on babying him too much due to his physical muteness, overlooking the fact he could still communicate fine. He dashed off after taking a large sum of money, and the family's pet human. Unlike everyone else in their mansion she treated him as coherent, as he did still have ears, and he frankly had gotten a crush on her. The feeling weren't mutual, so he kept them to himself (not that he had much of a choice.) The unusual pair made it for a long time on-the-lamb, at least until he was fifteen, but their pasts caught up with them and they were returned 'home'. Jacob managed to get away in a few weeks, but wasn't able to get away with Megan. They were almost caught when she gave herself up for him, and he worked for the next year to try and figure out a way to gt her free. He fell into the crowd when he finally rescued her, and they've been working together ever since: Jacob has become extremely protective of her, as she has begun to symbolize his own freedom (and his long-standing-crush is a factor), and would die for her.

Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Personality: Megan is quiet and tries to stay hidden, echos of how she was raised as a human 'pet' from a rich family. The only time she talks about her opinions is when she's with Jacob, and considers him a best friend of hers. She closes up when she's without Jacob, but will talk if forced to, or if she needs to make a point. Because of this a lot of other people will make the incorrect assumption that she's also mute, or that she's uneducated. Megan feels special in that she's one of the only people who can easily understand Jacob without exaggerated motions without having memorized sign language.
History: She always had fun when she and Jacob could play together, despite his muteness. She would finally use that time to talk about how she felt being a pet, and Jacob was always there to listen. When he decided to run away, she went with him. The years they spent running she learned to read his face easily, and began to work as his voice. When they were caught she was there as a shoulder for him to cry on, and when Jacob ran away again she knew he would come back for her. She just didn't expect it to take almost a year. She trusts Jacob with her life, and though she doesn't share his feelings for her, she would follow him blindly.

Appearance:

Personality: Grace is loud and doesn't hesitate to speak out, unless it's possible no one would like it. She easily falls into the majorities opinion, and whatever side it is she will act as a voice it is for it no matter how many others are speaking out at the same time. Because of this Grace is easily manipulated and taken advantage of, something that she is constantly oblivious to. She is gullible and easily embarrassed, the fastest way the shut her up being to embarrass her or insult her. In short, she has a fragile ego. If you mention her eye, you are dead meat. She hated the way her green eye stands out against her other eye's brown, so it's best if you just let it be.
History: Grace grew up on a nice cliff side home with her parents, and she quickly became addicted to speed, constantly leaping off the cliff and pulling up only a few yards form the ground. She has strong wings and a fearless personality because of it, but her other traits come from the fact it wasn't until the accident when her house was hit by lightening and burned down while she was speed diving that she met other people with the exception of her parents. She was shocked by the variety of people once she flew to the nearest civilization, and was also shocked by their lacks of charity to orphans such as her. Left to living on the streets, she had only just begun to travel with Jacob and Megan, despite not knowing much about them and not agreeing with most of their opinions.

Appearance: Josh has a raichu tail and ears blue eyes weres glasses and shorts.
Personality: Josh is a energetic ever going kid he made a pact to always keep trying after his parents died in a fire.
History: he always lived alone never knowing what was going to happen next

Character name: Kizuna Kilara Kraven(Goes by Kilara more than her first name.)
Pokemon: Mandibuzz
Age: Unknown to her, but appears to be a young woman.
Gender: Female
Appearance: Kilara is a very unkempt girl. She appears to be in her late teens, making her seem quite young. Her hair is a bright pink with dark black tips, forming an ombre look. She keeps her hair tied in a messy ponytail secured in place by a femur bone and a sharpened tibia. Dark circles form around her amaranth eyes, darkening the closer to her pupil. The dark circles form from her bad sleeping habits. She wears a heavy amount of eyeliner, making the shade even darker. Her skin tone is a light peachy color. Her cheekbones stand out against her rounded face, giving it one defining feature. She wears a brown fur necked jacket over a pale tan skin-tight corset. The jacket has long sleeves that flare out like a kimono. The tips of the sleeves are a light fallow. The jacket falls lower in the back than in the front, falling just above her knees. Her wings are also hidden by the jacket. She wears a short skirt underneath, that looks fluffy in appearance. The bottom of the skirt is fringed in a diamond pattern. Up her legs run bloodied bandages, one going to her knee, while the other goes completely up her leg. The bandages are changed weekly, but considering how much she loves to hunt down humans, she gets hurt often. She wears light pink boots that come just below her knees. Overall, her appearance usually makes people feel that she may be weak or a helpless little girl. She uses her appearance to her advantage to trick others.
Personality: Kilara is extremely unpredictable. Being a trained liar and having psychotic tendencies, there’s never any telling what she may do next. Kilara mainly behaves as a bounty hunter of humans, making her a little unhinged. She was taught to only be loyal to the people she trusted which are few. Her loyalty runs extremely deep and she might even die for her superiors. When Kilara feels secure around the people she’s near, she’s actually quite nice. She can be very affectionate or extremely harsh depending on the person. To people she distrusts, Kilara is a much more serious person. She has a rather sharp tongue and doesn't have a filter, saying anything that simply comes to mind. It doesn't matter if its cruel or not, she'll still say it. When she becomes serious, she sounds more like a woman in her late twenties, making her appear more mature than she really is.
History: From a young age, Kilara was trained to capture humans. She grew up as an orphan, being taken in by a gijinka organization that brought humans back to their rich masters. From the age of six, she was taught to be a cold blooded bounty hunter, aiming for high rewards. As a child, she used her youth to trick older gijinka into being caught. As she grew older, she started actually hunting and fighting humans. The boss of the organization and older members all treat her like a daughter and she loyally obeys their commands. She often hunts to support herself and gain financially. She never felt like leaving the organization and it really affected how she behaves.
Other: Kilara knows nothing of her family or heritage. She also remembers nothing from before she joined the organization. Her life has mainly just been a struggle to survive. I plan on having her switch opinions and rebel from her group. ^^
