Zack sees a small tavern at some distance. "Maybe I should go
there....hope I don't encounter any demons here, I really want to
relax a bit." He enters the tavern and asks bartender if there are
any vacant rooms here. Bartender gives him a room. Zack then turns
and starts going towards his room.
~I have loved the stars too fondly to be
fearful of the night~
Melez watches the new customer converse with the bartender and then
head to go upstairs. She looks to the bartender who looks at him
and then shakes his head and makes a calming gesture with his hand.
She lets her gaze settle back on the other man as she sips on her
drink.
Glasya had decided to get up and have a drink. She needed to start
her day with a little alcohol. She walked into the tavern, leaving
her kitsune to fly around outside. She sat down at a table adter
grabbing her beer. She drank it silently.
Melez watches the expression of the bartender as the new being
bought a beverage. She eyes her watching for any sign for distrust.
She sips on her drink and motions for the waitress, she orders some
food and when it arrives she nibbles at it slowly.
Glasya had finished her drink and left the table without a word,
not feeling safe in this place. She needs to start asking some
questions to get her closer to finding her answers.
Blake finished his breakfast. Unluckily for him, the bread was
stale indeed. ''at least it's not mossy...'' he thought, and
sighed. He noticed another dark presence taking a drink, probably
another fallen angel. ''man, this place is really unlucky'' he
said, and looked at the entrance. Suddenly, someone kicked the
tavern's doors, which flew all the way to the bar. ''what the...''
he said, standing up. A pair of demons were entering the place.
''looks like a nice place, let's have fun'' said the first one,
controlling a candle's flame to burn some tables.
Melez stands up "This should be fun..." She thinks to herself as
she strides confidently into the center of the room facing the two
demons. "You'd better leave while you still have legs..." The
bartender stares as his protection pays off. She looks the demons
up and down assessing them like her father had taught her. "Never
underestimate your opponent. Its better to overestimate than to
under..." Her father's words run through her head.
Glaysa had turned around, ameeling flame. A searing pain shot
through her entire body, like a burning sensation. She cried out "
oh god!" She colasped on the ground.
Blake turned back at a girl, who passed out. ''hey! are you okay?''
he asked, and went to help her. ''i should have some potions...
there we go!'' he mumbled, as he got a small red bottle off his
jacket. ''take this'' he said, as he poured the liquid on the
girl's mouth
Glasya woke with a gasp. She brethed heavily as she looked up at
her saviors. "Uhh... Thank you." She got up and brushed herself
off. Her kitsune came to her side at once and nuzzled her arm. "I'm
ok Rhea, I'm fine, really".
Glaysa breathed heavily. "Yeah, she's been with me since death. She
rescued me when I was alone. And I don't know how it started, I
just colasped." The kitsune looked at Isis thoughtfully.
"Ok. Hopefully I can get rid of some of the fire." She said and
touched the flames. Blue and white healing mist came from her hands
and evaporated some of the fire.
"Good..." Glasya sat down next to Rhea and rubbed her temples. That
brief moment of pain had been so... real. Like it had happened
before. But she couldn't think of any other time in her life or
death where she had felt like she was burning alive. she shrugged
it off as she viewed Isis attempting to put out flames.
Melez walks up to the two demons who lit the place on fire. And she
grins happily, "If you'd accompany me outside gentlemen... I know
the best way to have some fun..." She says in a carefree manner.
"This is not working.." Isis muttered as her power weakened. It
wasn't putting out the fire and she was wasting power, so she
stopped. Isis found a bucket of water and poured it on on the fire.
''that won't work'' said Blake, walking near Isis. ''It's demonic
fire, you'll need more than just water to remove it'' he said, and
grabbed a medium bottle from his pocket. ''this can be
dangerous...'' he thought, as he opened it carefully and poured a
small amount on the flames. The curtain of fire in the area
evaporated as if it was nothing but an illusion. ''holy water, that
will help'' he said, as he gave her the bottle.
The two demons joined her outside, getting a pair of shadow blades
out. ''and what do you, a fallen angel, think you can do to us, the
demons? our dark powers are twice as great as yours!'' shouted the
first one, and bursted black flames from his hand. ''still wanna
dance, bodyguard-chan?'' asked the second, in an ironic tone
