She shrugged. "Yeah, I'm getting used to it. I wasn't named Ambereye for nothing." She blinked. "Er... I mean for my vision." She said, sniffing the air for a thrush. "I don't smell one."

"Don't smell one? Even though there is one right there?" He pointed his tail to a thrush close by. He climbed the tree and cought it. "Honestly Ambereye, I know you're strong and all, but whenever I see you I can't help but worry. I love you too much." Nightwalker mewed.

Ambereye glanced at the thrush and sighed. "So I don't have as good scenting as other cats do. That's not a reason to worry about, right? Whether or not I'm half-blind, I can still see like a hawk." She said, sniffing out a squirrel. "Like you said, I'm not weak. What's to worry about?"

"If you want to hunt a little longer, sure. But I want to visit Ripplecloud and the kits today." He said.

Ripplecloud was back in the nursery, feeding her kits. Waterkit stopped drinking. (<--sounds like she's drinking beer or something.) "How come Stormhiss doesn't visit often? He's our father so shouldn't he visit us more often?" She said. "Yeah I was wondering the same thing." Silverkit added. "He's deputy so it's only natural." Ripplecloud reassured. She looked over at Lunarkit. Still not opening your eyes, huh? She thought.

Ambereye nodded. "Alright. See ya later." She went after the magpie and caught it just before it took off.

Stormhiss got back from a (sudden) short hunting patrol with Blackbird. They didn't get much, but shrugged it off as the she-cat went to rest in the shade. He decided to visit the nursery right after he got something to eat. He grabbed a squirrel and sat down to eat, chatting at the same time with her.

Ripplecloud padded out of the nursery. She walked over to the fresh-kill pile. Nightwalker came over to her and gave her the thrush. "Thanks Nightwalker. Could you go watch the kits for me?" Nightwalker nodded. Ripplecloud took her fresh-kill somewhere else to eat. She heard Stormhiss talking in a distance. She looked over at Stormhiss's direction and saw him with Blackbird. "What...?" She ran off.

"Yay, it's Nightwalker!!" Waterkit said. "Tell us another story about Ripplecloud!!" Silverkit asked.

"Eh.. I just got nothing to do." Blackbird shrugged. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Ripplecloud running off. "Uh, is your mate okay?" "What?" Stormhiss turned his head and saw her running. Oh no. "I'll talk to you later." He meowed and rose to his paws. He came after her worriedly. "Ripplecloud..?"

Ambereye returned with a mouse, a squirrel, and a magpie. She dropped them in the pile out of disappointment that she couldn't catch any more than that.

Ripplecloud ignored Stormhiss. She decided for a good relaxing walk. She padded out of camp.

Nightwalker looked up. "Oh hey, Nighttail. Here to see the kits?" Waterkit looked up. "Nighttail? You're Lunarstar's sister, right?" She asked, curiously. "It really is you!" Silverkit padded over. "Our sister is also Lunarkit. But she didn't open her eyes yet."

Nighttail mewed, "I am here to see them." Then she looked over at Lunarkit. "I hope Lunarkit will be okay" She flicked her tail cheerfully. "I'm going to be staying in the nursery now. I have a litter of kits coming soon," she mewed.

(All kits open their eyes after two weeks. Since they were born on the same day, lunar's eyes should be open)

(Blind kits still open their eyes, they just can't see. It's more common with white cats)
