Brokenmelody lost it. "No I can't! You don't know what it feels to have your mother die right in front of you! I never even knew my father...I'm alone in this world. Everyone else has their special someone but not me. I'm going to be alone forever. You don't know what it feels like to be alone...There's nothing waiting for me...I should just die!!" She yelled.

"Kits, someone's here to see you." Ripplecloud said. Silverkit's ears pricked up. "You're...?" He asked curiously. Waterkit padded over to Stormhiss. "You're so big." "Waterkit, that's rude." Ripplecloud scolded. Lunarkit was in the corner of the nursery. Her eyes were closed and she just slept there. She was the smallest of the kits.

Nighttail mewed, "I'm suddenly not feeling comfortable out here. I am a warrior at heart but... Well something doesn't seem right." The she-cat turned around and padded toward camp.

Rainrock growled. "I never knew either of my parents! They abandoned me at birth! Heck, I don't think they wanted me! How do I feel about this?! I live like a normal warrior despite knowing I will never know who my parents are!"

Ambereye stopped and turned. "Well.. okay. Do what you think is right." She noticed Nightwalker getting close to her and looked at him. "Just us, then."

Stormhiss looked down at Waterkit and chuckled. "You'll be big one day too." Then he noticed Lunarkit and stared at her worriedly. "She's been breathing and all, right?" He whispered into Ripplecloud's ear. "It could take her a while to open her eyes anyway."

Brokenmelody just starred at him. She opened her mouth as if she was going to say something, but instead tears fell from her eyes. "Sorry. But if this is how it's going to be, I wish you would continue to be a fox-heart to me. That way I wouldn't have to go through this pain. The pain of loving you."

Rainrock watched the she-cat walk away. "What did I do wrong?" he asked, beginning to tear up. He only wanted to be happy. Yet, the cat he loved didn't love him? He padded out of camp. Then he saw Lion, sitting on the border. "You finally came," the golden tabby tom mewed.
"What do you want?"
"You didn't know did you? Lunarstar was always at this border, and you always asked why."
"Yes but-"
"She was talking to me."
"WHAT?!"
"And you are going to lead my cats in battle against MoonClan."
"Why?"
"You have your mother's bravery... But do you have my strength?"
"You aren't my father..." Rainrock sprinted away from the cat who claimed to be his father.
