I got 2 shiny notifications, but only one shiny. This is how it looked:

I don't really care about the shiny, I just want it to get solved.

//Moved to Solved, as part of the big Bug/Complaint clean-up.

I think the second notification might be the bug, not the disappearing shiny, as you can only get one shiny from an Event Pass and any additional eggs get reclaimed by the Event Pass. There might've been a millisecond delay between the two eggs hatching, which resulted in the pokémon [former egg] being reclaimed.
