she caught the knife and blinked, then sighed as she wrapped the blade part with the blue cloth.
''thanks...'' she mumbled.
c.j. sighed and put the covered up kitchen knife in the side of her shoe.
her tail twitched and she yawned.
''i've been running for a good while.... just to get away from....'' she muttered, hesitating a little as if she was thinking on what to say.

Mystic nodded, her hair floating a tiny bit off her shoulders. "Yeah. Most of us innocents--the Ravages call us runaways, criminals, or something like that, they're so rude--do run. Some of the hardheaded ones fight back, though," she said, twisting her wrist. "That Ravage that was chasing after you was uh, ambitious. You might want to run from those types," Mystic suggested.

Trick sighed and shook her head. "Well I'm heading this way..." she said to the girl, and walked down the street. Afterwards she heard the sound of angry cussing, and turned to see another Ravage yelling into the sky. "Oh, uh... hey, Violet," Trick said.
They were in the same rank as Ravages. "Did another one of em' runaways pester ya? I could help you hunt em' down," Trick said, forming a purple and black hummingbird in her palm. It stood there, outstretching its wings and preparing for flight.

her ear's pinned back and she gritted her teeth a little, looking down at the ground as she restrained from crying.
''yeah... i'll make sure to do that....'' c.j. muttered, her voice trembling a little.

violet looked at trick, aiming the arrow and pulling back on the string.
she blinked and lowered the arrow, blinking some tear's out of her eye's.
''oh... h-hey trick...'' she mumbled, looking away as she rubbed her eye's dry.

"Yeesh, Violet, there isn't a reason to cry about it... I mean, what does it do?" Trick said as her painbird hopped around on her hand. She closed her fist and it dissolved into mist. "So, do you want me to help track them down or not?"

"C.J," Mystic said, her voice softening. "It's okay now," the mutant assured. Her hair stopped floating. "Really."

c.j. took a shaky breathe and sighed.
''i know... it's just you don't get who that ravage is..'' she mumbled quietly to herself, yet a little to loud.

"All Ravages are dangerous in different ways," Mystic replied calmly. "But maybe you should try to avoid that one even more... she seems to also be hurting you emotionally." Mystic glanced down at the ground.

"Yeesh, you're always so snappy," Trick grumbled, rolling her wrist boredly. She walked away, heading shrilly to base.

''bug off trick, you don't know what's been going on in the past few year's of my life'' violet said, gritting her teeth a little.
she looked at the ring on her finger and just sat down, hugging her leg's as she tried to keep from crying now.
no one will ever understand... she thought bitterly, tear's trickling down her cheek's.

c.j. hugged her leg's and just started sobbing, ear's fully pinned back and tail curled around her.

"God, Violet. At least you didn't have to go through being a mutant at the beginning. It's not fun being neglected by everyone and being called a freak. I don't get why you're crying about it. If someone died? Just move on. If you can still fix it, then go. Not like Boss will care." Trick responded flatly, her painbird animation plucking the black lace off of her hair and releasing her braid. The bird swiftly took her hair and put it up into a small bun, one strand messing handing out of it. "Ow... Stop that," Trick hissed, closing her fist. It disappeared and Trick released her hair, leaving it in a wavy pink mess.

an arrow went flying past trick's head, only a few inches away from going through her ear.
it cut a few strand's of her hair though, and she knew trick wouldn't like that.
''you don't know what those rogue mutant's did!!!'' she shouted, having another arrow aimed right at trick.
a silver ring gleamed in the few ray's of sunshine.

Trick turned around, a knife hurling at Violet and snapping the arrow in half. "You don't know what people like you have done to them," she replied in a moderate tone, her words icy. Like a spotlight pointed outwards, a purple and black light burst out of her hand and paced towards her, colliding with her body. Trick felt a slight pain in her abdomen (it was a curse that came with her ability) but knew for Violet the pain would be much, much worse. Her teeth gritted as her swift tiger faded away, and she walked back to base somewhat faster than before.
