Welcome to the grand opening of a brand new region for old and new pokemon trainers to call home! In this region, you get to choose ANY pokemon you want to be your "companion" that we recognize as your signature pokemon. This means that you still have your starter pokemon you originally started out with, but now you can just thave what pokemon you are most in love with be your publicly known pretend starter. (You must actually own this pokemon and it cannot be a legendary).
