Hello, and welcome to the completely unofficial speculation thread for Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, set to be released in Japan in Autumn 2015, North America in Winter 2015, and Europe in early 2016! (Seriously, why does Europe get everything last? I understand that translating into four languages (French, Spanish, German and Italian) takes a long time, I thought video games were translated BEFORE they were released nowadays... /rant) Due to PMD's huge cult following, the internet has become very excited.

So, what do you humble humans of PokéHeroes think?

I really liked how they did PMD Time/Darkness/Sky. I really liked the game overall, and how smooth everything fit together with the story. Even though the it felt a bit repetitive sometimes, it was still really fun. The story was beautiful, and I cried at the end. There was also lots and lots of stuff to do after you finish the main story. These three games were great. As for PMD Gates to infinity, I haven't played it, but I've heard that it sucks. I really hope that they make PSMD a good game. But the name doesn't sound very convincing. IMO Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is a really bad name.

I'm the only one that had fun with PMD: GtI?
I hope it's a mix between both.
There were some things that were better in both- but I honestly don't care. As long as I have fun with it.

The partner amiibo thing might be a little hard to implement, though.

In other news, I figured out that genders would be returning in this game!

EDIT:

Does anyone know what this says? I can make out "world" and "Pokémon", but that's it.

EDIT2: The text in the screenshot transliterates as:
korekara sekai ni iru subete no pokemon no chikara kesshou
sekai: world
iru: to exist (living)
sekai ni iru: (existing) in this world
pokemon: *sound of Kricketunes* =P
chikara: power
I don't know what "subete" means, but I swear I've heard it before.
Umm... something about the power of the Pokémon?

EDIT: Official artwork from the Pokémon Twitter account! Probably from CoroCoro. Mega Evolution and Hoopa unbound are going to be in this game. There's also a few evolved starters in one of the images; make of that what you will.

Thanks for that last post! I was wondering if starters could evolve in this one. So far it looks like the best Mystery Dungeon to be released! Megas and all 720 Pokémon. I can't wait for this! :)

Now that they evolve and have megas, I don't think I can choose my team until the game is officially released.

I actually can't wait till the game comes out since i've played loads of Mystery Dungeon 2. I actually wonder what my starter will be. Would I be a Turtwig again or something else? Apparently it looks like all starters from Kanto to Kalos are in it. I wonder if they will include the 721st Pokemon in it. Or they could just do what Explorers of Time and Darkness did and make the Pokemon Roaster 491 instead of 493. Also how would the mega evolution work? Is there someone in the town that can do it for you or do you have to go to the place where you evolve Pokemon normally?

Even though I don't have a 3DS or 2DS (But hoping for one for my birthday!) I'd probably choose oshawott, and evolve into dewott, in my opinion, I think Dewott is quite feminine, because of the skirt and everything :3

Looks like a cool game. Kinda weird how your partner isn't with you in the first dungeon and that you start out at Level 15. Because In Mystery Dungeons 1 and 2 you start out at Level 5. I never played GtI because it's really easy as some people say.

Mystery Dungeons are good games, but this new is a lettle... different. And it's bad. Started at lvl 15? No, why? But new "starters" are good, i must say.

Remember, this is an E3 demo. You probably don't start at level 15 in the actual game. The E3 demo doesn't contain any scenes from the trailer, such as the scene where the protagonist looks at their reflection.
