Gardevoir recounted what had happened and was once again bewildered
as to how he was already being called "sweetie," but pushed the
thought aside to write on the wall.
"What would you like me to make?" he inquired with the paint.
Gardevoir nodded and used Psychic to cut several Leppa Berries into
cubes. He also cut some Grepa Berries in half and pulled out the
seeds. Using a leaf to keep them off of the dusty cave floor, he
put them down, and added some chopped Ganlon Berries to the mix. He
then sliced a Nomel Berry in half with Psyshock, and used Psychic
to carry the juice into the mixture of berries. He unfortunately
couldn't find anything similar to celery, but he hoped that the
salad would be flavorful enough without it. He split it into three
parts and used Psychic to give it to the others, again using extra
leaves as plates. After setting them down, he wrote on the walls,
"I hope you enjoy it!"
(This is based on a Waldorf salad. I found it after looking up
foods that could be made with only fruits, vegetables, and nuts.)
I hope it tastes as good as it looks, he thought to himself.
He took a few bites and was delighted to find that he had not made
an abomination that was too disgusting to eat.
Seeing the reactions of the other two, Zygarde took a few bites,
and was also happy to find that it wasn't horribly disgusting. He
finished it quite quickly; Gardevoir had forgotten to factor in the
Legendary Pokémon's size when splitting the salad into three parts,
so the Legendary Pokémon was still hungry and ended up eating the
large leaf as well.
"Thank you for offering your plate, but I am now full due to the
fact that I ate the leaf," Zygarde said. It was as if he and
Servine were competing to need less! First they didn't want the
bed, and now food...
Darn! Did she not like it? Gardevoir wondered.
Telepathically, he told her, Wait... I can't tell if you are
offering it to me to eat or if you are just done. If you are
offering it to me to eat, I am full - I almost always eat meals of
that size or smaller, and am used to it - but if you are actually
full, I will put it outside for a wild Pokémon to eat.
She keeps blushing, and it makes me think she's embarrassed, but
I was the one to talk to her, so I feel like I am embarrassing her!
How do other Pokémon handle this? Gardevoir thought to himself.
Gardevoir blushed. Isn't when one's face turns red due to
embarrassment or stress? A-are you getting stressed out because you
felt obligated to eat the salad but didn't like it?
