Taker glanced at Entei questioningly. "Did I insinuate that you
could not? I was simply addressing the one who expressed distaste.
I apologize if I offended you." He grinned back at Skye and
Galadriel. "I speak many languages, I would even say most
languages. One of the perks of having a voice based on manipulation
of grinding sounds."
Galadriel sighed. "Let me guess. You speak orcish, Sindarin and
Quenya as well. And you have never died before." She said. Skye
blinked. "What does him dying have anything to do with this?" She
asked. "When a person dies, Death immediately knows all that they
do." Galadriel answered.
"To Egypt we go." Artanis said "I would be glad to have the House
Of Life join us in this war."
Meanwhile in Egypt...
"Ready the guards again," Carter ordered "these demin attacka are
getting more frequent, I fear Apophis is rising once more, but that
can only mean chaos is becoming stronger, as we have destroyed him
long ago."
Galadriel rolled her eyes. She went over to the keyboard and
pressed in some buttons. The screen shifted, instead showing the
Elders. Galadriel's eyes began to glow, as did her whole body, in a
clear display of power. Then she spoke in the Forerunner tongue.
"Elders. I request access to your files on Skin Taker." She
announced. Clearly the Elders recognized her, or knew of her,
because they all bowed rather gracefully. One spoke.
"Forgive us, Lady, but we cannot hand over such sensitive
information-" they began, but Galadriel interrupted them
mid-stentence.
"You will do as I have told you to, Elders, or" Galadriel said an
odd word here, a word only the Elders knew. "Shall be repeated."
She threathened. They shut up, and a few minutes later the files
popped up in
Skin-Taker chuckled at the woman. "No I have not had the pleasure
of meeting Death himself. I met his daughter once though. Lovely
girl. Anyway, you knew my name so you must know something about me.
Besides, I'm right here, in the... Flesh. You could just ask me."
He twirled his cane, bringing it down with a snap. "Mr. Skin-Taker.
Your one stop shop for all your cryptoid needs."
"Except apparently how to reajimate the dead without you possessing
them." Galadriel replied, the fore clear in her eyes, smirking.
Skye really shut her mouth then, know that when the insults started
flying, they would get bad real soon when Galadriel was angry.
Quill laughed when Taker said "in the flesh." He immediately said "
I see what you did there." Boomer and Lockehorn face palmed.
Giratina looked at Galadriel and asked "How did though know had
access to the files of Forerunner."
Bobby and Kitty were teleported back to Xavier's school for the
gifted thanks to Giratina.
(Btw,@Neverlight, Quill is a speed mutant who may be Deadpool-ish
except he doesn't break the fourth wall, nor does he have
immortality. His one of the few who have the most chance of death.)
"You know," Didact said, looking at Galadriel, "I think you just
set a record. In all my years, I have never seen anyone convince
the Elders to do something so quickly." He started studying the
files.
4. It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
Galadriel laughed nervously. "To be fair, I was responsible
directly for the destruction of a few galaxies or something... And
that one incident which almost killed them." She seemed mostly
amused.
Taker was a bit confused by the woman's words. "I'm not entirely
sure what you mean ma'am. I don't believe I've ever possessed
anyone before. I will say this however." He began to pace slowly.
"Based on your reaction to me, I'm guessing I wasn't your first
choice when it came to allies. I assume you were attempting to gain
someone else, but had to pull me through instead. Whoever you
wanted must be from my world though. Who was it? Slenderman?
Eyeless Jack? Jeff the Killer? You do realize that I am probably the
most reasonable person you could have brought through, right? Most
anyone else would have attempted to kill you instantly. All of them
would have hurt some of you before dying, and half of them can't be
killed at all." He chuckled, halting his pace. "Your actually quite
lucky to have only brought little old me here. My world is an evil
place, and any number of gruesome creatures could have tagged
along."
Quill coughed out "The rake..." Lockehorn face palmed and punched
Quill lightly on his shoulder. "Okay, okay chill down Lock!" Quill
said in a serious at Lockehorn.
"Actually, yes. I was hoping to pull Slenderman instead of you."
Galadriel replied. "You're joking right?" Skye asked. "There's no
way in a million years we can contain him."
Taker shot a scathing look at Quill. "It is not wise to jest of
such things sir. Names hold power, and when it come to a monster
such as that, power is the last thing I want to give it." He turned
back to Galadriel. "The girl is right though. Bringing a demon such
as he through would be nothing short of suicide." He couldn't help
glancing nervously at the surrounding area. "Even I fear the Pale
King."
What Taker and the others couldn't have know was that they were
indeed being watched. Hoodie crouched behind a tree, watching the
group bicker. "How do they ever expect to get anything done like
that? A house divided and all that..." He kept a careful eye on
the large beasts. He did not want those things to come after him.
Quill didn't back off. He knew that it give him more confidence of
himself, something he learned from Watching Jorge. "Alright, sure.
But to note, ye don't scare me." Quill responded to Taker. He
quietly put his hand on his gun. Boomers ears suddenly turned and
faced te tree. He suddenly spun around and began watching the tree,
growling very low.
Didact instantly drew his weapon and aimed at the tree. He slowly
started approaching it. His soldiers, most of whom had survived the
battle, covered him, save the Leader, who advanced with him.
4. It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
Skin-Takers eyes flashed at the man. "I wouldn't be so quick to
threaten someone you can't kill. Especially when that person is
labeled as a bad guy." He pointed his cane at him. "And
believe me, when I am trying to scare you, you'll know." When
Didact and his men began to slowly approach the tree, Taker
couldn't help but chuckle. "Looks like we have an unwanted
guest."
Hoodie pressed himself against the tree. "Stupid beast. Got to
think of something quick." What would be good against a group
of soldiers? Fear... But how? An idea came to him. He sent out a
strong EMP, which would scramble any electronic equipment in the
area. Scanners, screens, even electrical weapons would malfunction.
Stepped out from around the tree, hands in his pockets. One
clutched his Glock, the other a specially designed butterfly knife.
He simply stood and stared, counting on his fear aura to assist his
intimidation factor.
Didact's armor assist fried. "Crap." He muttered. His weapons were
more or less useless, and it was considerably harder to move. He
studied the person who had been behind the the tree and slowly drew
an old fashioned army knife. He always carried one in case his
weapon's failed but as his armor was down, he wouldn't be as quick
as usual. And that could easily lead to his death.
4. It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
"The pale king... is that what you call him?" She asked. "The only
thing I fear of is power. The only ones I fear for are those dear
to me, and they are few and far between. It is as they say - power
corrupts. And absolute power, corrupt absolutely. Even one as old
as I can barely resist its temptation." She said. She stood still
as Hoodie sent an EMP, knowing she wouldn't be affected by it in
the least. She did however move when he showed up.
"Hoodie. I see you followed Skin-Taker." She said, stepping in
front of everyone else.
