The Guardian Legendaries
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → The Guardian LegendariesAs she got to Cyllage City, she was horrified to see that the buildings near the entrance of the city had their roofs completely torn off somehow. She watched as some of the people moved the rubble, trying to get people out from under.
She put her hands over her mouth as she saw how badly some of the people were damaged. She walked quickly away from the scene, trying to get to an area with nothing like this. She wanted to help, but she couldn't take the sight that would be in front of her face.
As she got to the Pokemon Center to heal her Pokemon, Nurse Joy spoke something different: "Hello there, are you Psi?" "Yes...how'd you know?" "Somebody left you a note. They said a girl name Psi will be stopping by in here, so they left me this." Confused but curious, she took the note and thanked Nurse Joy. After healing her Pokemon, she went to Hotel Cyllage, which she had booked the morning before she went to get the first badge; where she camped with Garnet.
She gave them the information, paid them and then took the key to her room. She sat on one of the chairs in her room. She turned on the TV, wanting to see if this event in this town was on the news. Indeed, it was: "Mysterious silvery-white flying Pokemon," "Blown winds from mysterious flying Pokemon was powerful enough to tear off the stone roofs of homes". She noted important pieces of information as she watched the news.
Yup, it has to be Lugia. Anyway, about this note... She tore the note open and pulled out the paper. It had a beautiful, formal flower design on it. It read nothing on it.
For a while, she was confused, but then she had realized what was going on. Invisible ink, huh? That's not suspicious at all... She looked around a saw an Ultraviolet lamp. She tried it out, hoping that it was the right thing for this type of invisible ink and surely it was. The letter read:
Dear Psi,
I assume that by now you have figured out that this is invisible ink. I had to do this in case the nurse decided to open this and read it herself. Anyways, onto why I have sent you this letter. You saw what Lugia has done, correct? Just in case you haven't, the legendary has torn off roofs of many homes in Cyllage.
I won't toy around; I'm the one who sent that Lugia to do just that. Once you get the badge, go straight to Geosenge Town, get there as quickly as possible. In 3 days exactly, if you don't obtain the next message or decide that you will report this message, you will be seeing news of another disaster; a worse one. Go to Geosenge and obtain the next set up of instructions from there: The letter will be right in the [middle of the 3 Stone Henges forming a triangle].
I wish you the best of luck.
She shook her head and read it 2 more times before she realized that she was in a serious situation. This had to be some kind of criminal. Using a legendary for something like this; who else would do that? She paced the room as she decided what her first step would be. She would sleep here for tonight, definitely, but she couldn't take long before taking off for Geosenge. She didn't even know how long the note had been here, so chances are that some of her time was already up.
She decided that her first step would be to ask Nurse Joy who had brought the letter to her, then go and attempt for the Gym Badge. She quickly locked her room and ran to the Pokemon Center. "Hey, Nurse Joy!" "Ah hello, Psi! Here for more healing already?" "No, this is urgent! Who brought you the letter?" "I'm not sure, I think it was a man, though. The person was wearing a gray coat and had most of their face covered through big sunglasses and a hat." "I see. Thank you, anyways." "Is something wrong?" Psi paused before saying, "No, nothing. I just wanted to...thank him...for something.
She wasn't sure how credible that sounded, but she rushed out before Nurse Joy could say anything else. Hm, so he wants his identity unknown, huh? Well, that supports my suspicions of him. She walked towards the Gym, wanting to get the badge before she was too sleepy to do so.
Jonah had known bug pokemon evolved fast but he hadn't expected it to be this fast. He narrowed his eyes as he stared at the newly evolved Stud. No one would take him seriously if he went around with a damn butterfly. Sighing, he decided to head back to the city. As he was walking down a road a guy suddenöy blocked his path. He looked at Jonah, cocking his head, "Don't I know you from somewhere?" Jonah glared at the unknown guy and attempted to walk past him. He wasn't so lucky though, As he brushed past the guy he grabbed his arm and looked straight into his eyes, "Yeah, I do know you. You're the V-traitor." He grinned at Jonah, "You know, your little gang put a price on your head."
Jonah knocked the guy out with a swift blow and started jogging back to his hotel. So Bobby had gone as far as putting a price for his head to find him. He was still too close to home, he needed to keep moving or others might recognize him as well. He'd have to leave Lumiose sooner than he had planned.
"Hey, is something wrong, Psi? You seemed to be distracted during that battle. She sighed and said very frankly, "Yeah, I've had a lot to think about and do, lately. I'll be fine, though." The look on his face showed skepticism, but he said nothing more except, "Alright. Thank you for the great challenge." She nodded and replied, "No problem." before leaving.
She tried to sleep, last night, but no matter how hard she tried, it wasn't possible. The letter took over her head, she even swore she heard somebody whispering the words on it. Great, now I'm hallucinating. Eventually, she managed to fall asleep.
"Hurry...." I whispered to Slowpoke. He barked and sped across the water. I ran into a swimmer but took his Pokemon quickly. I was in much rush to get as far away as possible. I reached the shore and returned Slowpoke. I desperately looked around and spotted some Skiddo. I ran over and jumped on to a sleeping one. The goat squealed as I ran him through the field and over a fence. He stopped right in front of some stairs. What now!? I thought.
She turned away from it, not wanting to think about how frightening all this was and not wanting to waste any time, either. Sighing, she walked to Route 10, age hair Trail. She was fascinated at all the strange stones that dotted the trail. She walked into the tall grass between them, fighting the Pokemon as she tried to get to Geosenge as soon as possible. She saw an interesting combination of Dark, Psychic, and Ghost Pokemon here, along with a couple of Psychic Trainers.
After a couple of hours, she made it to Geosenge Town. She went and healed her Pokemon, then proceeded to figure out where exactly the next note was. She pulled out the last one and read it again. Three Stone Henges...forming a triangle. I'm guessing Stone Henges are all these strange stone structures. There sure are a lot of them, here.
It didn't take her long to find the Stone Henges the note was talking about; they were right in the middle of the city. She quickly ran to it, happy to have made it there early... but she didn't see any letter in the center. Did somebody steal it? Oh no! She was about to begin panicking when Soul made a soft cry of confusion and began digging in the center of the triangle. Not too deep in the ground was a letter.
"You're a genius, Soul!" She petted the Absol and she could've sworn she heard a purring sound coming from it. She opened the letter, nervous at what she would be reading next. She moved the soil back into its place, hoping that nobody noticed any of this and began walking though the town as she read the note:
Ah! Hello again, Psi.
I assume that you have found this note in time, though you might not have. If so, congrats! Anyways, next step: Near the Ruins of Geosenge, you will find a Mew trapped in a net. This net was set up through illegal poaching and there's no telling what the owners of the net will do to the Mew.
I do not want you to free the Legendary Pokemon, instead I want you to set it in the center of the 3 Stone Henges forming a triangle and leave the city. Your next letter is at Coumarine City, in the Seaside Station. You will know what to do from there. There is no time limit this time, but get there as soon as possible. Remember that the fate of many people rest in your hands.
She couldn't believe this. Now she had to hand over a legendary Pokemon to this mystery person. Looking around, she wanted to see if there was anybody who looked suspicious. All the people walking through the tone looked perfectly normal, however. She walked over to the Ruin area, and went behind it to summon Yveltal without being seen.
"Yes, my dear?" The legendary said casually. "What's this?" She held out the two letters. The legendary observed and sniffed them and then said, "Ah, yes, that guy." "That guy?" "Heh, can't say much about that, sorry. I can say, however, that you should see the person as a threat. You've already figured out that they can control legendary Pokemon." "And it seems like they want to control more. Should I go along with the plan?" Yveltal shrugged. "Your choice, can't sway it." "Hm, alright. Well, first thing's first: finding this legendary. Think you can help or are you feeling like you don't want to help at all, today?" The legendary sighed and said, "Alright fine, but only because it'll take you forever to spot it alone. Hey, Mew! Let us know where you are, will ya?! It's me, Yveltal!"
"Mew!" The cry was pretty loud, but it was coming from up high in a tree. "Don't tell me you want me to get it down, now?" Yveltal said as it straightened its feathers. Psi glared at it, but she ended up sending out Honedge. "Cut the net. Completely." She ordered it. It followed her command, tearing the net into pieces as it swung its sword in a beautiful rhythm. Now free, the legendary took off, fearful of the strangers near it.
Psi held her head low. She was afraid of what would soon to happen. Yveltal laughed a harsh laugh. "I figured you would do that. By the way, Mew says thanks." She was quiet for a while, but then she spoke. "I couldn't bring myself to let it stay in that state. One look into its eyes told me that this was a Pokemon that was meant to be free, to be roaming the world, but now..." Yveltal looked at her, a look of pity on its face.
"Oh, come now. The person was probably going to do bad anyway, right? I mean, once they get control of enough legendaries, that's bound to happen. In my humble opinion, you made the right choice." She smiled at the legendary, saying, "Thanks, you think so?" It nodded and then proceeded to take off. Before it could, it said to her, "You should get some rest. You're in for a lot." After that nice message, Yveltal took off.
As she walked to the Hotel, she felt angry about all that was happening. Why? Why did that guy choose me? Could it be possible for it to be somebody in the gang? No, they've never strayed that far from their city. They were wary of being assaulted by groups from other cities, after all. Hmmm. Soon, she made it inside. She paid for a hotel room and then went off to her room. There was a small TV in there, but that was good enough for her. She switched on all the news channels. Nothing big or important, thankfully. Well, other than the Pokemon Tournament, that is.
She relaxed and watched as the News talked about the Shiny Pokemon Auctions going on there, until she was too sleepy to continue on. She fell asleep, instantly.
On his way to Camphrier, Jonah decided to train his poor pokemons some more due to lack of anything better to do. By the time he reached the town, Flinger had evolved as well and was full of himself. They had to work on the bird's ego if he was going to keep travelling with him. Jonah had no plans to stay at Camphrier for too long and just headed straight to the pokemon center avoiding any curious eyes. Which wasn't too easy, he was a gangster looking criminal with a broken arm for god's sakes.
((Uhhh... This seems so damn short compared to your last post, Diana. @____@
I guess too much studying takes one's imagination and creativity away. :p))
Psi woke up pretty early in the morning, which was not normal for her. When she opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Yveltal. "Hm?" She mumbled. "Well, well! Looks like somebody's up a bit early. You should switch on the TV." It mumbled the last part. At first, Psi was confused, but then when she realized what it meant.
She quickly jumped off the bed, turning on the TV. "A powerful heat wave strikes Snowbelle City! This is no natural incident, folks. Rumors have been said of the legendary Pokemon Heatran being sighted in some parts of the town. This has ruined the site's natural beauty among other things. What could be the cause? Stay tuned as observations are being ma-" Psi turned off the TV before the New Reporter could finish. She didn't know what to say, what to think. If anybody gets injured, it would be her fault, this time.
"Come on! We have to get as far away from here as possible!" I jumped onto Entei.
"All the townsfolk will see me," he grunted.
"We can cut through the trees and over this mountain," I grumbled.
"Very well," he dashed through the forest. I was holding on for my dear life the whole way. THis was going to be a while...
"Oh, goody. Well, I guess you're right about that." Finished packing, she grabbed her stuff and ran to the outside. Right there, at the very entrance of the town was a Groudon. For a second, it just stood there and looked throughout the town, but not too long after, it raised its giant claws and destroyed the Stone Henges at the entrance.
It began walking into the town, the people running away as it did. She stared at the Pokemon with horror and then turned her eyes to Yveltal. "I'm going to try and fight it with my regular Pokemon. I don't want anybody to see you." The legendary shrugged. "Suit yourself, but if you ever need my assistance, call me." Psi nodded and then the legendary disappeared. She ran toward the great beast and then sent out Fletchinder, first.
Groudon battle:

It used Ember first, which did close
to nothing but did burn it. The legendary used Slash at her Pokemon
but fortunately missed, being very slow. Fletchinder used Razor
Wind, but just as it shot the moves at the Groudon, it used Hammer
Arm and defeated it. Psi stood there with wide eyes. This
legendary is way too strong! Let's see if Fencer can do any
better. She sent out the Honedge. She had found the perfect
time to use Retaliate. Unfortunately, that didn't do much, either.
The legendary was smart; it appeared to know strategy. It's body
began glowing a white-orange color and then it shot an Eruption
attack, which knocked Fencer out. She didn't know what to do, at
this point. She sent out Soul, in hopes that it can do a bit
better. Same results, except Soul got lucky and was knocked out in
two hits, rather than one. She put her hand on the Crimson Scale,
the Groudon walking towards her, slowly. I guess I have no
choice. She held the Crimson Scale up to the sun and called out
the name of the legendary. The people watched in surprise as the
great Wyvern landed on the ground, facing the Groudon. For a few
seconds, they both stared at each other with cold looks. The
Groudon roared at Yveltal and then began running towards it,
however, Yveltal, took off into the air, not giving it the chance
to use a physical move. The Groudon tried using Eruption, but
Yveltal was faster; it used Phantom Force and disappeared, making
the move miss. Yveltal came up from behind the Pokemon and tackled
it as part of Phantom Force. The Groudon found its chance and used
Ancient Power, knocking Yveltal to the ground. At first, Psi was
worried that it fainted, but reassured her when it jumped back onto
its feet. The Groudon tried using Eruption, but Yveltal countered
with Focus Blast, both moves creating an explosion on impact. At
this point, Groudon was pretty weak because of its burn status.
Yveltal found its chance and used Hurricane, almost knocking out
the Groudon. The Groudon surprised Psi when it shot an Eruption
attack really fast. The move hit Yveltal, knocking it back a few
feet. Now worn out, the Groudon fainted from the effect of the
burn. It slowly swayed and then fell down, creating a huge quake.
Smoke curled and hissed from Yveltal as it roared its victory
roar.
Now that the Groudon fainted, she decided to check it and see if there was anything suspicious on it that could help lead her to the one who started all this. However, just as she got close to it, the legendary glowed and disappeared. The people slowly walked up to her, thanking her from a distance. She could see why they were too scared to get close. She told Yveltal to leave for now and that she'd give it a few treats later. It nodded and took off into the air.
The people thanked Psi and one said, "Hey, that was a Yveltal wasn't it?" "Yeah." "Does that mean you control Xerneas, too?" The question took her by surprise. "No, why?" another person answered: "Didn't you watch the News? Xerneas appeared in Camphrier Town." Her face went pale. "What?" All this just because I released the Mew? That guy must've wanted it badly. "Yeah, but the problem is that it was running rampage, too. I just figured you might have something to do with it, after seeing you call Yveltal like that." "No, I only own Yveltal, nothing else." She wondered if there'd be any use in asking them to not say anything about Yveltal, but she figured it would be pointless. She couldn't trust all these people not to do so.
"What town is up ahead?" I asked.
"Coumarine City," my beast grunted. Coumarine City!? We already reached here? It saved a lot of time though. When we reached the edge of the forest, I thanked Entei and sent him away. As soon as I walked into town, I knew something was wrong. People were rushing to the train while dragging suitcases.
"Isn't there a way to get to Lumiose City!?" I heard a lady yell.
"Not from here," replied a young woman who probably worked at the station. Her hair was messed up badly and I could tell this has been going on for the whole day. She rubbed her temples stressfully. I frowned. Did the people already hear about the attacks?
When he was heading to route 7, he heard someone speaking on a phone in a panicked tone of voice. He could only hear bits and pieces of the conversation but he heard one thing loud and clear. Groudon. Judging by the tone of the girl and the incident with Lugia, Groudon was up to no good either. The two accident had to be lined somehow and he wanted to get to the bottom of this.
Before he could continue, Jonah heard a crash from behind him, from the city, and a lot of panicked screaming. Looking back, he saw smoke coming from the city and people running away from the centre. His instincts told him to run the heck out of there but his curiosity was spiked big time. He cautiously made his way towards the way where people were running away from.
The sight froze him in spot. Xerneas? Why the heck were all the legendaries going insane suddenly? Jonah covered behind a building, breathing heavily. Legendaries wouldn't hurt people like this. But who would have such power to control several legendaries? Jonah flinched as he heard another blast from too close and more terrified screaming which soon faded to silence after a couple of smaller explosions. He didn't want to think what happened.
Maybe he should try to take the legendary down before anyone else died. Jonah's gaze fell on the ring on his finger, he hadn't talked to Mewtwo after what happened at the fight. It seemed like a distant past now. Sighing, he called out to the legendary who appeared beside him shortly after. "Alright, let's talk about our previous encounter later. There's kind of an situation at hand here." Jonah peered around the corned and saw Xerneas walking away from them. "Do you think you could take Xerneas down?" Mewtwo frowned at him and spoke with annoyance, "Kid, who the heck do you think I am?"
Ignoring the unpleasant nickname, Jonah watched as Mewtwo flew off and surprised Xerneas with Psychic. Enraged, Xerneas spun around and encountered with Night Slash. Not ready to go down yet, Mewtwo used Aura Sphere and continued with Psycho cut when the other legendary was dazed. Jonah was already grinning victoriously at this point but his smirk soon faded as Xerneas let out an angry howl and used Megahorn, hitting Mewtwo critically. It wasn't looking too good anymore.
Just as Jonah thought they were screwed, Mewtwo used Psystrike, succesfully knocking Xerneas unconscious. Not realizing he had done it, Jonah slowly walked over to Mewtwo, looking at the unconscious legendary. He was brought from his trans-like state when Mewtwo spoke in an exhausted voice, "Told you I could do it."
((I didn't want to make the battle too long so it is as it is now. :d))
"Um..... you guys do know that we could walk through route 13 to get to Lumiose, right?" I spoke up. Some person in the crowd complained about walking there.
"Oh yeah? No wonder you're so fat!" I shouted. "If you guys wanna live, get away from here!" People immediately started heading to the route gate. I followed since there was nothing better to do. We had to hurry. For all I knew, Groudon could be waltzing this way right now.
~Psi~
Psi decided it would be best if she left as soon as possible, so she went to the hotel and packed her stuff. Why had I told them I owned Yveltal? I could've lied and said... No! If I lie, that would only put me under suspicion! That exactly what that jerk wants, that's why he did that!
After she was done, she quickly walked to Route 11 and into Reflection Cave. She stopped, panting, when she got in there. There weren't any people around, so she thought this would be the best time to train.
~Kane~
Kane felt something cold under him. It was the floor. The floor was made of cold stone. "Huh?" He quickly jumps up, not recognizing where he was. "Where. Am I?" He looked around him, recognizing that he was in a temple of some sort. After walking around for a few minutes, he noticed and statue...or was it a statue? He didn't recognize it, at all, he didn't know much about Pokemon Mythology, but he got a feeling that it was a symbol of power. It was a giant Pokemon, sitting on an icy cold, stone throne with some steel plating. Right in front of the statue on the floor, were words: "A body of Rock, a body of Ice, a body of Steel. When the three gather, the king shall appear."
Despite this being a statue, he felt a grip of fear, not the kind of fear you feel from a monster but more like the fear you'd get from being in the presence of something higher. Seconds after his encounter with the statue, the dots on the Pokemon's head began to flash and then they turned red all at once. The fear in him became stronger as this happened. The statue's hands went into a fist, which it slammed onto the arm rest and used to get up.
Kane stepped back a few steps. The statue stretched and then spoke in a deep, booming voice: "Do not fear me, Kane Causter." This took Kane by surprise. "H-How do you know my full name?" "How, matters not. What matters is why you are here." "Yes, th-that, too." "My name is Regigigas." Kane had recognized that name before. It was from Sinnoh Mythology. The legendary stretched its hands out to him and opened back with something in it. It looked like an oversized bracelet. It had three gems on it that looked exactly like the Pokemon's eyes.
Kane almost jumped from this, but after he realized what the legendary was really doing, he slowly took the bracelet. It was heavy. "What's this?" He asked, curiously. "This is a special treasure. I will be joining you as your Guardian Legendary and this is called the Atlas Bracelet. You will use this to summon me whenever you are in need of my assistance." After the legendary was done, it raised its left arm into the air, causing the place to glow. After that, Kane awakened in his home.
Dugging into an alley, that he assumed was far away enough from where the battle had taken place, Jonah halted abruptly and turned to look at Mewtwo, "Alright, so let's get this over with. I'm sorry about the last time we met."
Mewtwo looked at him, unimpressed, "And?"
Jonah frowned at the legendary, "And what? What more do you want? I said I was sorry, isn't that enough?" He had barely managed an apology, he had never apologised to anyone so it had been quite alien to him, and now he wanted more from him?
No more unimpressed but slightly pissed, Mewtwo kept his gaze on Jonah, "If I recall correctly, I saved your sorry behind back there."
Letting out a slight huff, Jonah pinched the bridge of his nose, "Fine, you jerk. Thanks." As he lifted his gaze back on the legendary, Jonah almost growled at the sight in front of him. Mewtwo was grinning at him smugly, like he had just gotten his little brother to tell him he was better than he was. Feeling a slight heat rush to his face Jonah stomped past the legendary, heading to route 7, "I think we're done here. You can go back to where ever you spend your time."
She exited the cave with a newly evolved Talonflame, and Doublade. She was now in Shalour City. She ran to the Gym, but the door was locked. There was a sign on it. In surprise, she read it: "Training in Tower of Mastery. Will be back soon." Oh, come on! I have to leave this city as soon as possible.
She began walking to the Tower of Mastery when something in a newspaper caught her eye. It had an image of Yveltal on it and it mentioned "A trainer fighting alongside a Yveltal to defeat Groudon which was running rampage and destroying the beautiful ruins of the city". However, they didn't mention that she owned the Yveltal. Maybe the people didn't tell the reporters. I really hope that's it. She bought the newspaper and continued reading it as she went to the Tower of Mastery.
As she went in there, she saw Korina roller skating as her fighting Pokemon honed their skills with each other. She looked up at the giant Lucario statue which stood up tall and proud. It took up most of the place, so it was hard not to notice it. She went up to Korina. "Um, hi..." "Gym Battle? I was going back to my gym soon, anyway." Psi stood there in surprise, but she nodded and said, "Yeah..." "Alright, meet you there!" Then, she returned her Pokemon to their Pokeballs and roller skated out of the place, leaving Psi standing there not knowing what to think of this meeting.
~Kane~
Kane found himself sleeping in bed in his clothes. Did I fall asleep? Guess that was just a strange dream. After all, the bracelet isn't- He had spoken too soon. As he turned his head to look at the table nearby, he saw the Atlas Bracelet. He picked up the big, heavy bracelet. He scanned it, trying to see if there was anything interesting about. On the underside of it, were the words he saw on the floor of the temple. They looked like they were carved in.
Kane decided it was best to test the bracelet. He went to the biggest room he had. This ought to fit a legendary this big. I will probably be put under a lot of suspicion if people see me with a legendary, anyway. Especially with all the news, lately. He held up the bracelet and called out the legendary's name. The bracelet shone a bright light and then the legendary appeared, once the light was gone. Kane stepped back in fear, but the Pokemon spoke in a soft voice. "Hello, Guardian Trainer. Why is it that you call me?" "I need some questions answered. First thing's first: why did you join me? Why did you choose me as your Guardian Trainer?" "You are simply the best person for being my Guardian Trainer. It is a tough job to control and compromise with a legendary, depending on its personality. You are the person I saw most fitting to be my Guardian Trainer."
"Ok, but why are Guardian Trainers needed in this world?" The legendary was quiet for a while, but then it answered. "All dimensions of this universe are under great danger, whether land, sea, space, or time. You will see this things get worse and will have to live a harsh life, even harsher than those who are not Guardians."
