"I..." Salamence stopped to think. "I'm not entirely sure if it
counts as exploring, given that my primary goal is really just to
stop this particular group of Pokémon, but I've been trying to stop
them for many years. The Haze Relic I found at the ruins is an item
that I have needed in order to stop them; it is one of many items
that can be used to seal away a certain Pokémon, which is vital to
stopping this organization."
"The Pokémon I mentioned," Salamence explained, "possesses the
ability to generate infinite energy. Limitless power that could be
used to change the world entirely. But... This power was sealed
away long ago, so that the Pokémon could bring no harm to the
world. Now, he is trying to get this power back, and he is using
this group to do so. As for why they are working for him, and why
it is so hard to defeat them... He cannot use his own power, but he
does retain the ability to share this energy with others. The
Relics I have been collecting should allow us to seal away his
energy, but we won't be able to get them while these Pokémon have
us. And... I don't know how long we've been asleep... but the
Pokémon leading them may be coming to dispose of us himself."
"No," Salamence agreed. "Which is why we need to escape, and it
needs to be right now. Please use Protect. I have a TM for it here
if you don't know it. I'm going to use Earthquake to attempt to
create an opening, hopefully to let some light in and to give us a
means of escape."
Salamence nodded, and used Earthquake, collapsing much of the cell.
Unfortunately, no light shone through, but there did seem to be an
opening. "Wonderful. Stay careful, but let's go."
"Protect would have prevented that rock from getting on your
leg in the first place," Salamence said. When I said to use it,
I never said that he should stop once rocks started falling
dangerously and he'd need protection, he thought. The Dragon
Pokémon attempted to move the rock off of Grovyle's leg. "This rock
is... extremely heavy," he said, attempting to move it with
Strength.
"Alright, stay still," Salamence said as he got the rock off of
Grovyle's leg. "Great... They took my bag when they captured us. I
don't have any healing items..."
"Alright," Salamence said. "We have to get out of here. I'm truly
sorry, but there is no time to rest your leg. We must go now. You
may lean on me if needed, or even try to ride on me if you're
careful around my left wing."
