A world where dragons and humans no longer quite get along. Many try to help the dragons, but more want to destroy them. The humans and dragons have organized themselves into ranks and a few even discovered a flew unique abilities or perhaps even learned. The Hunters and Rebels are rising up and will the few that remain be able to prevent a war and save the dragons?

Skylar sat on the edge of a rocky cliff-side, her feet dangling carefully. She had one arm resting quaintly by her side while her other was wrapped around the smallish dragon. Calder, despite him being a water dragon, very much enjoyed the warm sun that was shining brightly this fine evening. Skylar glanced over at the blue dragon that sat beside her, a tiny smile popping onto her face. The teenager nudged Calder softly with her shoulder, causing the dragon to glance down at her and snort softly. Upon doing so, the dragon had gotten a bit of water on his rider's face. Skylar, squinting lightly at Calder and wiping the water off her face, muttered, "You're not cute." She scrunched her face lightly and nudged the dragon a bit harsher, a small laugh escaping her young lips.

Robin gently coaxed a small sky-dragon hatchling who she'd found wailing in the clearing. "Shh," she soothed stroking it's head. After several moments it looked up with wide eyes. Yen watched from the edge of the clearing and Robin scooped up the young hatchling. "We'll take you to a nice man in town," she murmured in the dragon's language. The breeder they took most of the tamed dragons to provided most of the newest trainees with their dragons. In the fading light Robin made out the shimmering form of the Earth Dragon and climbed on, holding securely to the hatchling who had miraculously fallen asleep. "Let's get back to town. Y'know, I think the lack of mothers later must be a sign of hunters and rebels." Yen nodded and spread her wings, taking to the sky.

Felicia sat on Ninyan's back, holding her head gently. Thankfully the dragon was calm, but their bickering still gave her headaches. Usually they kept the arguments to themselves, but this time their telepathy gave Felicia a front seat to the chaos.

Just hush already, you're giving me a headache! she yelled at them through their telepathy. She had to be touching Ninyan to communicate like this, and couldn't use it from far away.

Sorry! Niny's voice called in her head, a light, sweet sound.

We'll try to stop for now, but you know us. Nyan's voice said, the deeper, husky sound causing a shiver down Felicia's spine.

Felicia shook her head, jumping from the dragon's back. She motioned for Ninyan to follow her, which they gladly did. However, they kept nipping at each other's necks.

You know, Yen spoke up, unlike she usually did, We could just stop the hunters. "Doubtfully," Robin replied, Yen gliding gently to the ground. The hatchling opened it's eyes and yawned, leaping to the ground from her arms. She spotted it scurrying into a familiar building. She raced in. Robin spotted Mr. Waston already putting the dragon in the land out back. "The mothers are vanishing, aren't they?" he asked, glancing up. Robin nodded quietly.

(Just so you know Yen is a bit taller than the average adult so she's big but not huge.)

"S'oh are you hungry Cal?" Skylar asked softly, her voice cracking much as it always did whenever she spoke more than one or two words. The dragon's tail flicked timidly. Calder only really knew a few words that Skylar had drilled into his brain which were his name, a few basic commands, and anything about essentials. So upon hearing the word 'hungry', Calder's large head bounced up and down once in a simple curt nod. Skylar remembers the times when she was just teaching the hatchling some commands and how he often refused to listen and would run off. It took her months just to teach the stubborn little guy to learn his name and still often refuses commands like when she tells him to fly, and especially when she tells him it's time to sleep.

"Alright, let's go fishing." Skylar said softly, pushing herself up lightly with her hands.
Glancing up at the sun, she guessed it was a bit past noon, which was perfect time to get some lunch. The lake was close, only a mere five minute trudge down the cliffs to reach it, but like many teenagers, the lazy young girl was not in the mood for walking. Calder stood up beside her, peeking his head over the cliff-side curiously, most likely judging how far down and how steep it was. He then swerved his head over to Skylar, knowing she wouldn't want to walk. Skylar gave a slight pouty face, knowing her dragon hated flying, and let out an exaggerated, "pleaseeee." Calder rolled his eyes slightly and lowered his back with a loud huff of frustration, his large wings spread apart as far as possible allowing Skylar more room to climb on. The teenager smiled pertly and aboard the dragons back, holding lightly onto his thick neck, careful not to squeeze to tight knowing the dragons temper. Calder's wings pulled back, cradling Skylar like a baby for a moment then the still young dragon flapped his mighty wings back and pushed harshly with his back legs taking off of the cliff-side, heading fast towards the lake below.

(New char~)

Jackson raced across town. Just as the familiar building came into sight, he tripped over his own feet. "Ow!" he yelped, feeling his jeans rip once again. He let out a half-hearted laugh, dragging himself to his feet. He noticed Yen standing outside and waved. The large dragon simply grunted. "Nice to see you too," he muttered almost silently. Jackson walking in, brushing the dirt off his pants.

Robin turned, hearing footsteps. "Oh hey. Today your getting your dragon, right?" she asked. He nodded with a hint of a grin before Robin turned back to Mr. Waston. "I think that hatchling I brought in might fit pretty well with him." He nodded in agreement, opening the gate to the land in which the tamed dragons would stay. "Step right in. See which ones like you and Robin and I will help you pick one!"

Jackson stepped outside hesitantly, some newer hatchlings scattering fearfully. The older only looked up and acknowledged him before continuing whatever they had previously been doing. He took a step forward. He didn't feel the small body make it's way in front of his leg and he fell flat on his face. The hatchling which had tripped in let out a squeal of success and scrambled all over him. "I think this one likes me!" he called into the building with a laugh.

Robin grinned at the sight of the hatchling she had recently brought in scrambling all over the young trainee. "I agree." Mr. Waston opened the gate again, allowing the duo in. "So, just name 'im and he's all yours." Jackson struggled to his feet. "I think I'll call him Wisp." The small hatchling looked up at the name, immediately agreeing to it.

Rawr, let me actually post something.))

Felicia was glaring at Ninyan as she walked, not noticing a small hole right in front of her. She tripped, barely catching herself on the ground. Dusting herself off as she got up, she took a better look at the hole. It was shaped like a dragon's footprint, which interested Felicia. The print was a bit smaller than Felicia's own, so she assumed it was a young dragon. Felicia backed up towards Ninyan, putting her hand on the dragon's side.

What do you make of it? she asked, using their telepathy.

Seems like a young dragon, but I'm sure you already knew that, Niny replied, looking at the print with interest.

There don't appear to be any larger tracks nearby, so that must mean that the dragonet is alone, Nyan pointed out, looking around the immediate vicinity for any signs of other dragons. One good thing about a two-headed dragon was that there were double the eyes and noses.

Well, let's follow them, Felicia said, running ahead of Ninyan.

Don't go too far without us! Niny and Nyan called to her with their telepathy. Felicia may have to touch them to communicate, but that wasn't the same for them.

I don't even know where I'm going with this. XP))

Jackson grinned, the hatchling feebly fluttering it's weak wings. "I'm going to explore," he simply said before racing outside. Wisp raced after him eagerly. He ran in front of the boy's legs and he sprawled on the ground once again. "Are you going to keep doing this?" he asked with a laugh. Startling him, a small voice replied with gibberish in his head.

Ydkay.

Jackson burst into laughter at realizing where the voice was coming from. "I don't think you can do that yet lil' guy." The hatchling let out a small roar in response. He got to his feet and kept running, Wisp being nice enough to stay beside him. Abruptly, he crashed into a girl who seemed to be following some tracks. "Whoops! Sorry!" he exclaimed.
---
Robin waved to Mr. Waston and exited the building, spotting Jackson just leaving town. "We might as well do something, Yen. There are bound to be others out there at this very moment. Besides," she spun her dagger before returning it to her belt, "there are bound to be some traps the hunters set out there. It's always fun to destroy 'em." Yen seemed fairly eager to do this.

Robin climbed onto Yen's back and they took off, no particular destination in mind.

Firefly was sound asleep in a hidden cave. She twitched and stirred in her sleep, until a small droplet of water fell onto her nose from the cave ceiling. She quickly got up, smelling something nearby. It smells like... Human? I haven't seen one of those creatures in a while. Firefly stretched her wings, and then she quickly flew out, scanning the ground for any movement. (Sorry if i'm not good at details. I'm trying really hard.)

Kanju's pale gold eyes scanned the scenery from under his hood, looking for potential catches. He had set up a few traps, none of the kind that could severely injure, in case a breeder wanted it. The hunter had left his fine robes at the inn, and was currently wearing his armor, which was made of dragon scales and other tough, fire-resistant materials. Several weapons hung at his belt in case he needed them, as well as a bow slung across his back. He had encountered a small dragon earlier, but had decided that it wasn't worth the catch and passed it by.

The man was about to tie off his bay roan horse and take a short break and have a before-dinner snack when he saw a dragon take flight, presumably from somewhere in the nearby area. It looks black, but of course that might just be its silhouette. Could be rare, though, he thought to himself. Almost every color and species of dragon changed rarity as he traveled from country to country. He hadn't quite memorized the rare color patterns and species of this region, but he supposed he could always take some dragon horns or skins to the nearest black market and find out soon enough.

Kanju armed himself with his bow, and notched an arrow, just in case he needed to use it against the dragon. He could always switch to his net later on if he needed, but most dragons were hostile against him, likely because of his dragon-repelling aura.

Robin noticed movement up ahead and Yen sensed her unease. She had spotted the dragon up ahead, but Yen's keen eyes had caught movement from below. The golden dragon swerved downwards, hoping she wouldn't be spotted. I'm hoping this isn't a bad idea, Robin communicated. Trust me, Yen replied reassuringly. A mild sense of fear spread through Yen but she managed to ignore it. I'll circle. You check it out, I feel like there's a hunter nearby. Robin nodded as they landed and she climbed off the dragon's back. I'll know if there's trouble.

Robin smiled slightly, remembering her dragon had a strange way of sensing most living things in contact with the Earth. It was useful in a situation right now, when they suspected a hunter. She spotted the shadow of Kanju and stopped, hoping she wouldn't be spotted.

*Thump* The subtle noise seemed to bounce off the trees and cause the lake to ripple intensely. It was the sound made by the water dragon, who mind you, doesn't know how to land yet, hitting the soft ground of mud. Puckering her lips in distaste, Skylar climbed off her dragons back, covered in mud from the impact. "You're a mess." Skylar purred slightly running her fingers through her thick blue hair. Calder glanced at her, letting out a deep groan, then shook himself much like a dog would after getting a bath. The mud flew everywhere, particularly coating Skylar as if her luck couldn't get any worse. A loud sigh escaped the teenager and she ran her hand across her face to rid it of some of the mud. The dragon sheepishly smiled at her, giving her a half apologetic nudge on the shoulder. Rolling her eyes, the teenager walked over to the water. She paused to look at the reflection staring back at her and frowned slightly. She always found herself to be sub-par in the looks department, and that was one of the main reasons she strayed from people. She knew she didn't have anything special to her- unless you count blue hair. Shaking the thoughts, Skylar splashed the cool water to herself, cleaning the mud easily. While she was at it, she doused her hair in water as well, deciding to let it wind dry.

"Alright how about you get two fish, and I'll start a fire." Skylar said softly. Although the statement should have been a question, Skylar knew the answer already. Calder loved swimming, so why would he disagree. So without another word the large dragon ran into the lake, his small figure sliding carelessly into the deep blue pool. The lake was large enough that Calder could swim deep without any part of him out of the water. Skylar rolled her eyes once more, knowing Calder would be in there for a while, and headed over towards the forest. She dropped her large backpack down, a relived sigh escaping her lips, and headed over to collect some sticks to get the fire started.

"Oh!!" Felicia cried out as Jackson ran into her. She didn't fall, thankfully, but she did get pushed off balance. "Woah, guess I got a little too into what I was doing." Ninyan slowly walked up beside her, it's two heads peering at Jackson from either side of Felicia's. She sent a small glare at both heads (not too hard with practice), and looked back at Jackson.

"So, um, hi," Felicia said, looking over the boy and his young dragon. "So, you're a Trainee? What are you training for?" She asked, trying to start a small conversation instead of just running back off. Ninyan's heads were slowly going farther past her head, and she had to push them back. Sheesh, back up already. Don't scare him off.

"I-Uh-I'm training to be a Tamer. Might become a Rider too, but I dunno," he replied. "I'm Jackson, Jackson Hargrove. You can call me Jack." Wisp looked at Ninyan and let out a small blurb of gibberish in the form of telepathy at them.

Hfjsi.

Jackson lifted up the hatchling who fluttered his wings as if he wanted to glide. "Silly," he grinned. Despite him only just getting the cloud dragon, he could already tell they would probably be good partners.

The small circle of sticks were piled in a perfect shape. A bunch of dry leaves littered the top as tinder. A couple of large stones surrounded the sticks to keep the flames contained a bit. Skylar wasn't stupid, she had made sure the fire wood was far from any trees, knowing a fire in the forest would be devastating to the dragons. Unzipping the large backpack, Sky pulled out a pack of matches. She swung open the box taking out a long match. Tsh tsh tsh. The sound of the match being scratched across the match box side, finally a small flame appearing on the top. Skylar blew softly on the flame and dropped it gently onto the leaves, the fragile things immediately caught flame. The flames soon after traveled onto the sticks and Skylar sat down tiredly on the sandy lake shore, watching for Calder.

Meanwhile, the water dragon had been swimming midst the beautiful water, his entire being at ease. Calder never felt happier than when he was in the water. The only thing that made him happier was being in the water with Skylar, but she wasn't so much a swimming fan as him. The blue dragon kicked forcefully off the lake bottom, spotting a school of large fish swimming around as if they weren't worried about the huge dragon circling below them. Calder stopped in front of the fish, gently grabbing one in his mouth, sort of like a pelican would. The fish thrashed wildly in the dragons mouth, but Calder's spit had a special something that killed small prey if he left them inside for long enough. Sure enough, a few moments later and the large fish was dead. Calder glanced around the water, bubbles escaping his gills, before swimming to the surface and running towards Skylar, the large fish settled in his mouth.

Firefly could smell a human nearby. The human seemed to have a very foul scent, so she guessed he was hostile. She cautiously approached the scent, trying not to be seen. She wrinkled her nose as the smell grew stronger. Gee, when was the last time this guy took a bath? She thought to herself.

Crysia's wings stretched out as she nested on top of a tree. Her ebony scales made it rather easy to find her, but she didn't quite care as she could simply electrocute any human that opposed her. Crysia ignored the chatters of humans below her. Blah blah blah blah... call me Jack... Was what she heard. The dragon's head perked up as she stared among her surroundings.

RAWR, still need to post.))

"I'm Felicia Lynch, a Tamer. You can call me Feli if you want. Nice to meet you, Jack," Felicia said happily.

Ninyan nodded its heads towards Wisp, responding in telepathy.
It's nice to meet you, hatchling, Niny's kind voice said.
Hey lil guy, Nyan's voice followed Niny's.

Niny poked Felicia with her said, almost as if urging her forward. He seems like he could be suitable for a mate, she said with a gleam in her eye, Nyan nodding his in a rare moment of agreement. Felicia's face flushed bright red, and then she grabbed both of them around the neck.

Don't say anything unnecessary you guys. I don't need you causing me to leave a bad impression, she mentally hissed. Felicia hoped the dragon didn't broadcast their voices to Jackson and Wisp.

"Nice job bud." Skylar said happily as the dragon rested the fish in his riders hands. Skylar placed the fish onto a long stick and let it over the fire, allowing it too cook. Calder let out a large yawn, padding up next to Skylar and flopping into her lap, his head cradled in her lap. Skylar glanced down at her dragon and smiled, running her hand over her head softly. "Tired?" She asked him, petting him as gently as she could, feeling his cold, slightly wet scales. Calder glanced up at her and nodded slightly nudging her with his snout and making a soft grunt. He then lowered his head back into her lap and closed his eyes. Skylar sighed lightly, continuing to stroke his head, and began to hum a tune her mother had taught her, one of the few things she remembered about her mother that wasn't twisted. She knew the tune well, as did Calder. The humming put the dragon to sleep in moments, and his loud snores caused Skylar to stop humming.

The fish crackled slightly as the fire finished cooking it. The teenager took the stick off the fire, blowing softly on the fish. Her stomach let out a low roar, telling her just how hungry she was. Calder was still passed out in her lap, low snores ringing her ears from him. Skylar took a bite of the fish, burning her tongue in the best way, and then ate nearly half before being full. She placed the half eaten fish beside her and, without disturbing Calder, slid down to lay beside her slumbering dragon. She nuzzled against him like he was a large pillow and with a full stomach and thoughts racing, the teenager fell asleep next to the blazing fire and slumbering water dragon.
