Lionfang followed and looked back. "It's a dog." He mouthed to her,
and she dug her claws in almost all the way, arched her back, and
her fur stood on end as she stared at them wide-eyed in fear.
Scaredy-mouse. He thought.
"Nah, let's see what this thing wants." He said and got closer.
"But I'm sure Lightningbolt would gladly tell Owlstar." He said and
looked at Lightningbolt who overheard the conversation, leaped to
the ground and nodded. "I-I'm going back." She said and darted back
to camp.
Hawkclaw climbed up a tree to get a better look then leaped over to
another tree not to far. And saw the dog was really long. He
muttered to himself "dang it looks like a wolf."
do it! I'm perfect and your perfect in your our little ways
"Dang.. what in StarClan's name..." He stayed low on the ground and
entered a close bush as quiet as he could and stared at it. While
he was in, his tail ruffled the bush, and the creature whirled its
head in different directions. Cursing silently, he froze, hoping
the creature was more stupid than it looked.
Lightningbolt dashed up to Lionfang. "Are you ok?!" She said.
Lionfang sighed. "We're fine. Just almost got... caught." She
slapped him with her tail. "Well, what was it?" She demanded.
"Uh..."
Lionfang saw Nightpaw and tried to figure out in his head what
exactly it was. "Uh, we kinda found a-" He stopped and saw Hawkclaw
faint. "Hawkclaw!" Lightningbolt exclaimed and darted to his side,
trying to awaken him.
She opened her mouth to argue, by Lionfang stopped her by flicking
his tail in front of her. "Okay, only StarClan knows what it is,
but now's not the time." He said, glancing at Lightningbolt, who
shut her mouth.
