Lightningbolt nodded as well, then noticed something about
Lionfang's tone that just seemed... off. "Well don't you look
disappointed. What, you actually wanted to alert it?" He looked her
in the eye. "Says the one who was too chicken to even look at it."
He said. Her ears flattened.
He raised an eyebrow. (Cats have those?) "Who said I was depressed?
I only expected a bit more from it. And it doesn't look stupid, it
is stupid." Lightningbolt sighed. "You always want to fight,
don't you?" He turned his head. "It's in my blood."
(That one wasn't hard to miss..)
"How 'bout later?" Lightningbolt suggested, sarcastically
glaring at Lionfang, who shook his head. "Lightningbolt, I am not
that stupid." He retorted. "But we should check it out after we
rest, and we shouldn't attack first. Maybe we can lead it away from
the territory if it's slow enough." He thought. Lightningbolt
hissed. "Moron." She whispered
angrily, but luckily he didn't hear it.
Lionfang rolled his eyes and saw that Lightningbolt's anger had
calmed. "So what should we do?" He asked. "Well, I was hoping to go
for a walk." She said. "Really? Another one of your adventures?" He
teased. "Shut it! I'm going!" She said and walked away. "Wait up."
He said and caught up with her. "...alone." She growled, but he
followed her anyway. "I got nothing better to do, so you might as
well deal with me." He purred and she rolled her eyes. "Fine, just
don't get too close." She said playfully.
(...)
They trekked through the forest together until Lightningbolt
halted. Lionfang stopped. "What's up?" Shr turned around and
sighed. "I think I'd rather walk alone from here." She said to him,
and he didn't argue. "..A'ight. Bye, then." He said and left her.
Bored, she climbed a tree and sat on its branch and yawned. "That
stupid mouse-brain." She muttered.
Lightningbolt twitched her tail and lay on the branch growing
tired. "I need to find some sane cats for once." She muttered
frustrated with just about everyone, especially Lionfang.
Lightningbolt yawned again and sat up. She could see RubyClan's
territory from where she was, and saw that it was empty, and
groaned at a few sudden cats nearing the border.
Lightningbolt stared at the cats, who came to the border and stood
there for a while. After about ten minutes, most of them left, and
a few stayed. She growled and turned away. "I'll check it out
later.." She muttered and drifted off to sleep.
