"It's not his fault," Her gaze softened. "sometimes cats don't know what to do or are too scared to move. Who cares? You're arguing that he didn't move to do something about the fox, and the fox isn't even awake!"

Both of he cats turned their heads away from each other but Nightpaw turned around meowed "sorry." Hawkclaw hissed "not accepted!!"

"Guys, quiet down! The fox might..." Then a low growl sounded from just behind Lightningbolt. She slowly turned around, and her ears flattened when she saw the vicious fox towering over her. "...wake up." She finished her sentence. "RUN!!" She yowled to the other two and dodged as the fox lashed out its fangs and snapped its jaws shut at her throat a few seconds too late.

Hawkclaw ran off in fear (wuss) while Nightpaw hissed "get back here!! Ugh never mind!!" She jumped under the fox and slid her claws on his underbelly and then sliced his side and jumped on his forbear and bite down on both of his eyes making the fox dizzy.

Lightningbolt darted back and dragged Nightpaw away from the fox angrily. The fox shook its head and glared at both cats, baring its teeth. Lightningbolt slashed her claws across its face to buy some time and urged Nightpaw to follow. "Come on! We can't kill it!" Then the fox headbutted her and pinned her to the ground as she struggled.

Hawkclaw ran up to the leader and told him what happened and Nightpaw ran back and forth and yelled "if we make our sends all over the place he will give up and walk away!" She contude what she was doing makeing the fox Confusised

The fox's face was now just above Lightningbolt's, and its breath filled her nose as it opened its jaws to bite. She struggled, but it was no use. "Nightpaw!!" She yelped, trying to claw at the fox's legs but failed.

Nightpaw ran back to help her and attacked the fox by his nose Hawkclaw came back and strayed the foxes other eye making him to blind in one of his eyes and then he pulled lightingbolt away.

Lightningbolt struggled out of his grip and jumped to her paws, her tail brushing the ground. She hissed, then ran back and leaped onto the fox's back, where she sank her claws and fangs in. The fox snarled, and staggered backwards.

Lightningbolt jumped off the fox before it hit the ground and rubbed a fresh scar in her leg, panting. "Thank you."

Both of the cats were panthing from running and fighting the fox also and then Nightpaw collapsed. "Nightpaw! Nightpaw!!" Hawkclaw yelled as he saw a large gash on her side.

Lightningbolt heaved the apprentice back to camp, several times almost getting dragged down by her weight, but she managed through and made it back to camp. She entered the medicine den and gently lay her down in a nest.
