Greetings, and welcome to my role-play for Sonic the Hedgehog! Now I know what you are thinking: "What's does it mean?" Well...I shall tell you in this form. There is third things to get straight about :

1. It's set in the near-future, which is not-cannon based, only pure fiction. If you can't stand it, get out of here.

2. This is also Fan-Character based as well. Later on I will accept people to do cannon-based characters, but for the most part, it's purely fan-based.

3. All fan-characters must be in the Sonic universe only. No Pokemon, no Halo, or anything that can lead towards a "Crossover". It can be based off from any source, but not directly from it.

Alright, with this out of the way, here's the Introduction:

-----------Neo-Freedom Fighters--------

What begun as any other day, only turned for the worst for all Mobuians. The death of Sonic the Hedgehog was the end of the Age of Freedom; and the beginning of the Age of Divide. Nations formed under the remains of a once heroic age, crushed by revolts towards radical ideals. The rise of the nations states of the Mobuians was all but peaceful; As the planet itself was in a great divide that lead into wars, and struggles of both the past and future, only to end up even more divided. Now only 4 nations remain. The revolutionary dictatorship state of the Red Empire, the once die-out empire, now the rising remains of the Eggman Empire, the dark demonic entities of the Universe known as the Dark Legion, and the last remains of Mobuian freedom in the form of the Neo-Freedom Fighters.

The Red Empire, lead by Niokian the fox, had always been loyal towards the Freedom Fighters, but also learning their weakness. To seek revolution for the people to end the corrupt rule of the Freedom Fighters, and their own figure head, Sonic. He seen him as a young and brave, but foolish to care for others in need. Once after his death, the stage was set for the Red Revolt. Generating the youth of Mobius to fight for his side for a much greater freedom, only to end up making a dictatorship under the people. Years of brutal dictatorship only made the nation strong, yet afraid of others who seek to destroy order. Preparing for war, it is once again, a waking of a new revolution on Mobius.

The Eggman Empire at it's demise began to disappear, as if they never invaded in the first place. But it was only soon that they didn't disappear, but instead hibernated until it is time. The Death of Sonic led to the rise of the newly established Eggman Empire, and at once again begin a new era of the Empire itself. leading in both technology and military, they are ready to do whatever it takes to conquer the planet once again. But the biggest mystery wasn't the empire's sudden re-awaking, but instead the disappearance of Eggman himself. He wasn't found since his last defeat, but fate itself doesn't determinant how the empire itself can lead without him, but the leader itself, beginning a ever so growing mystery on the new leadership itself. Now at war with everything they got, it is soon that all nations will finally know the truth of the New Eggman Empire.

As their name describe, the Dark Legion is nothing more than pure evil. The three dark legionaries: Nex the immortal, the forgotten son of Shadow, send into eternal imprisonment known as the Void. His crimes against nature and Mobuians was heinous, killing all that he founded "unwelcoming". Now with his immortality and powers of the dead, he will stop at nothing to kill all life for the new kingdom of the dead. Mephiles the Dark, the death shadow of the universe itself only to make others fall into his words, to deviant others around him, and lead to his ultimate plan of the Universe' demise. Since his last time, he swears to bring nothing more than wrath of darkness a pond all. And at last, the infamous Sinstar the Overlord. The everlasting demon of darkness and the destroyer of worlds. His history is as long and vast as the Universe itself, and all that have or have not known his existences will also be doomed. After his awaking for nearly 50,000 years, he has taken form as a Shadow android. Now lead a army of Stalkers on his side, he shall control all like itself to bring the Universe back into darkness.

And at last: The Neo-Freedom Fighters. Led by Troy the Hedgehog, the son of Sonic the Hedgehog, his life been destroyed since his father's death, and been oppressed by the Red Empire, and been cursed by Sinstar with stalker abilities. Now restoring life, he shall fight for all Mobiuan's freedoms and protecting not only their rights, but their lives. They fight toward the last man, and swear to protect and save all in need. Now the time of liberation is here, Troy, and his uncle, Joe the Hedgehog, a Freedom Fighter veteran and the leader of the 1st Calvary, and his love, Maddie the Hedgehog, and others are ready to fight for freedom for all!

Alright, when will we start is going to be a common question, and the answer is: When we have 10 minimal. The maximum that I hopefully we can have is at least 20 to 30. But if push come to shove, for the one's who are here can take on multi-roles. Just hope this thread doesn't end up on the Inactive Rp. If you can find anyone who is interested in this, tell them to come on down, and also tell them it's a sign-up rp.

If we can get up to ten, then that will be grand. Also, we need some villains in the rp. And a reminder: This is a Series Rp. I shall do some map building on the rp of Mobius. Alright, the official start of the Rp Series will be on Friday. And it's going to be on a new Thread! This thread is a Introduction and entry for the Series itself. Because all of you have been waiting to see what is going to happen, it's time to give all of you a sneak peek of the beginning of the Rp itself.

Now this is not officially what is going to begin with, but I let you decided. So now, here is the sneak peek preview of the Series Premier!

10 Years ago

In Red Square Stadium. Under dark gray skies, ten of thousands of people cheer away to the glory of the Red Empire's 15th Annual Freedom Games. On all four entrances ways sides each, hold the selected four prisoners, spies, rouges, and traitors of the State, armed and ready, to fight each other with all of their might.
In the North entrance, Troy is held in chains, while in the South, Spark is gathered by his loyal comrades with the finest of executioner tools. Spark was given a chance of freedom,by the State, with his "Traitor" friend, Troy. Troy finally realized this "Chance" was both public trial, and execution. Troy's crimes was against the State, and Spark was once labeled the same as Troy, with his attempt to overthrown the State, and freeing his father under forced labor in a prisoner lab. The Revolt failed, but he was cleared of all charges. Now Spark have one, and only one chance: Kill Troy, or else...

As Niokian raised his hand to eased the people's roaring cheer, he announce that what the State has done is a means of an end, and to establish order at all means.

Niokian: We have fought hard to keep peace in check, as well as keeping the labor forces in check as well. *Faces towards the competitors* Yet sacrifice is key to keep order. Only those who appose against order shall either win exile, or shall suffer death. *Focuses on Troy* The most bravest fight for exile.

As Niokian enters the South, he hands Spark his sword.

Niokian:*Hands him his sword* Finish him, my dear cousin. For the glory of the Red Empire.

Afterwards, Niokian raised his hand again:

Niokian: Let the games begin!

In the North, the other three pick up Troy, while he is in chains, and threw him into the arena. The other three fights others coming from the South, East, and the West. Spark joins in the fight, and his actions only made him more blood thirsty. The State made his thirst. And nothing can't stop his fighting spirit against others. Troy was soon able to break out from his chains and able to reach his sword. Originally, he was able to attack Spark, but what render was a quick death, so he fought others until they were the last. Almost an hour since it started, their are only two.

Both given each other a death stare, knowing that blood shall be spill on the ground, only making one standing. Troy tried to convince Spark.

Troy:*Points sword at the same time as Spark* We didn't have to end up like this. We can end it right here before any harm-

Spark:*Interrupts Troy* For what? More lies? More death? This is not what we ended up with, but the start of what's yet to come! And I can seek your demise right here.

Troy:*Prepares to release a rage-filled attack* You failed to see me. *Charges at the same time as Spark. Troy was able to attack first, injuring Spark*

Spark: Augh! *Holds his bleeding right arm, and kneeling down*

Troy: Can't you see what they have done to us. We were close to brothers-just like our fathers. Now, at war.

Spark:*Tries to stand up* The reason for war is not simply "It's going to happen", but what happens in the clam. *Falls down* This never met to end, Troy. *He holds on to his right arm with much greater strength, only to make it worst*

Troy:*Positions sword on Spark* It's only met to be endless...

Meanwhile, In the depths of the Eggman controlled land lays the capital city of Eggpolis. once a powerful empire until it crumbled now the empire has looked abandoned for a while. Lately though it been bust smoke has been seen as the factories were active to create more swatbots. The factories had been reactivated but what looked like a robot Eggman. " I will have my revenge and reclaim my empire" said the Eggman-Bot.

Meanwhile at home, in the present day, Troy standing outside in silence, almost as if he was having some deep thoughts.

Troy:*In his Mind* I feel something is coming. But what is it? Why do I have this feeling of unsettledness inside of me. *Turns toward where Joe is* I've to talk about it with Joe. He knows what's in my mind.

Troy walks where Joe is at, wanting to talk to him.

Elsewhere, near the Mobian Desert, lies the Dark Legion and their followers. What began as a storm of dark clouds, now turn the land into a field of horror. Their hellish awaking marks the rise of Darkness.

Sinstar: I remember this land. I remember it all for too long. As he looks down on the land.

Joe hears troy walks up to the workshop. "Hello troy, how is your day" he says as he points to the tool box. "mind if you get me my screwdriver troy" Joe said.

Troy: Sure. *Hands him the screwdriver to Joe* It's good. Except. I got this feeling that something is not gone, except, it's only growing worst. Do you have this abstract feeling?

Joe stops working on the invention and walks to the holomap and turns it on."your not wrong, there have been reports that the factories around the eggman empire have been active and a newer report pointed out that there is a darkness in this sector"Joe said as he points out the locations.

Troy: That was something I thought of. *Put one hand on my head* Never in this instant. How the factories still operational when...*Thought of something again* This isn't good.

Meanwhile, in the Mobian Desert Stalkers and dark crystals infected the area. As Sinstar looks around, he notice an Egg-Drone in the distance.

Sinstar: Predictable as always. His mighty empire stands hallow in metal. *Notice from the distance the drone flies away, and also noticing something big coming from the horizon*

What comes over the horizon is a eggfleet never before seen, much larger and deadlier than ever. the army starts marching underneath the fleet aiming for where Fort Acorn is at. The drone comes back to sinstar and show a hologram of eggman-bot"*bzzt* I have a propersition for you*bzzt* it said.
