Groudon snapped his jaws, but decided better against it and stopped trying to attack Thorn. He did, however, keep glaring at the two. Obviously Ateer had not yet unlocked his true power, but Groudon knew he would soon have to. His mind flashed back to year prior, when Arceus had decided to hide Ateer among the Eevees. Implanted memories would provide sufficient cover, and hopefully Ateer would make some friends. Sari would have been proud.

'Hello, everyone.' The voice of Arceus greeted him in his head, along with all the other Pokemon present. 'I am certain you are all aware of the situation the world is in. A zombie outbreak has surfaced in the human cities, and I am afraid that more and more Pokemon and Humans each day are taken away from the living. I do not have a solution to this.' He admitted to the present Pokemon, including a pair of seemingly ordinary Pokemon, an Umbreon and a Vaporeon. 'I do, however, know that if this council is ever taken, the end for this world is nigh. Nightblade, Aquaruis, I have summoned the both of you here on the account that you have many children. I would like for you to resign for the duration of this war, and, as a final assignment from me, take care of Ateer as his foster family.' Arceus continued. 'Now, I won't sugar coat the situation. More than half the world has been consumed. More is to follow. I will lock Ateer's powers away for the time being. Please, I beg you, accept this last wish.' He said to the pair.

They couldn't refuse. How could they? Arceus was desperate. Besides, they couldn't very well ignore the will of their creator. "Of course, Lord Arceus, we will raise him as our own." Aquarius said for both of them.

'Thank you.' Arceus said.

"Oh, not much, Thorn." Mew replied.

Ateer was surprised that Groudon had so quickly followed his order but shook it off to take care of the pack. "We have to get up in the air. Thorn would you be able to carry a couple of pack members? Im not doubting Lady Moltres' strength, it's better if we had others carrying pack members."

Haku got off of Thorn's bak, before floating off of the air. Obviously, she still had Mew's gift. Katu simply activated her mega evolution, and flew off the ground.

'Thank you...' Arceus repeated as he bowed his head towards the pair of Pokemon. 'You will be rewarded for this, I promise you.' He swore. Then, an explosion rocked the Hall of Origin, catching some of the Pokemon off guard. 'Sword of Justice, make sure Night and Aquarius are returned safely to the mortal plane.' Arceus said as he look around. 'The rest of you, charge.' Ha said as he readied his attacks.
