Thomas was the kind of person who didn't mind which house he got sorted into. If he got sorted into the wrong house... Well, that wouldn't happen, would it? It was a freaking magical hat that glanced into his mind. They couldn't get the facts wrong. Anyway, so whichever house he got sorted into would be the house that he did best in. Thomas respected that. Although, it'd be rather nice to be in the same house of that lovely blonde pure-blood, Clarisse La-rue... Okay, he was madly in love with her. But in his world, who couldn't be?

[*notices thread* *stares for a few moments before wondering if it's still possible to join (probably not a good idea but YOLO) If the thread's not dead...and you're still accepting...-shoves form-

First and last name: Callisto Virginia G. Rinestone (If anyone here has ever read my HP fanfic, they'd know exactly what was coming x3)

Year: First

Appearance: Callie is rather short for her age, with a small, skinny frame. Her hair is usually midnight black, but after the Animagus potion accident (see History), her hair color switches to flaming red with golden streaks when she is being emotional. Her eyes are a deep, dark brown so dark that they look black, but like her hair, change into a different color - molten gold with the whites barely showing - when she is feeling emotional. Callie's cheekbones are somewhat high, and she almost always keeps her long hair let down. Pale white scars that came from self-harm, often hidden by the sleeves of her robes, run from the tips of her fingers to her shoulders.

Her Hogwarts uniform's skirt is somewhat longer than the other girls' skirts, as she lengthened it using magic, feeling that the skirt was too revealing. Like all Hogwarts students, Callie wears the standard uniform for her gender and the standard black robes when outside of the dorms. She always carries the friendship bracelet from Dustin in her pocket, despite their fall-out when they were ten.

Wand type: 11 and 1/2 inches, aspen wood, phoenix feather core, unbending

Heritage: Callie descends from two of the so-called "Sacred Twenty-Eight" pureblood families, the Fawleys and the Selwyns. The bloodline remained "pure" (You know how pureblood maniacs often disown and remove any evidence of their family mixing with ones with "tainted blood"), until during Callie's grandfather's generation when the remaining descendants including her grandfather rebelled and married into the "tainted" and Muggle lineages.

As a pureblood lineage of wizards and witches, some of Callie's ancestors dabbled in Dark Magic, and were known to support Grindelwald at his time of power. Thousands of books about the terrible magic are stored in the attic of Callie's father's house, where Callie and her cousins often stay at. Being the bookworm among her cousins, Callie has an unbelievable amount of knowledge on Dark Magic and can actually be considered an expert on the subject. However, she absolutely detests the usage of it. "These kinds of knowledge...they're meant to be never used," she'd warned her cousins.

House: Gryffindor, only because she threatened to curse the Hat if he put her in Slytherin

History: Callie had had a happy childhood until she turned ten, when her parents divorced. Things began to go downhill from there, and along the way Callie was diagnosed with depression. Soon after she got her Hogwarts acceptance letter, her mother disowned her, realizing that Callie would take after her father no matter what.

Callie had been amazing with brewing potions and performing spells even before she got her letter. Her older cousin, Veronica, had repeatedly owled her for help on Potions while she was at Hogwarts. When Ronnie came back home with a T in Potions, Callie decided to help her by helping her make a potion for extra credit - the Animagus potion, which was required for the process to become an Animagus. [OOC: Becoming an Animagus was only mentioned as being an incredibly difficult process, and since potion-making isn't easy at all, I guessed that it would be part of it.]

But Callie, poor Callie, had accidentally added a very, very dangerous ingredient without knowing. At age ten, it seemed that Callie had managed to make one of the most difficult potions ever. Things took a turn for a worse when Callie sampled the potion, and realized that she had made a better potion - one that automatically started the Animagus process instead of just preparing the body for the process. Callie woke up the next day, had a fleeting depressing thought, and her hair and eyes changed color. Her dad, who worked at Hogwarts as the Transfiguration professor, was forced to rush home and take her to St. Mungo's. They discovered she had depression, and realized that once started, the Animagus process could not be stopped, only postponed.

A guilty Ronnie took the potion as well, believing she should suffer along with Callie, because if it were not for her terrible grade in Potions, Callie would have never tried the Animagus potion. Bella, Ronnie's younger nine year old sister, took the potion as well, wanting to give her sister and cousin support. Callie stashed away the remaining potions in the attic of her dad's house, hoping that no one else would find them. The Ministry took an interest to these, and despite several attempts, did not manage to take one for examination.

And because I've typed already all that, too tired to explain her and Dustin's shattered friendship. To be RP'd.

Blood-type: Half-bloodish, though I prefer the term quart-blood (as her father is a half-blood and her mother is a Muggle)

Love Affliction: Well. She has a crush on her childhood friend Dustin, who goes to Durmstrang so yeah not much romance there. Also they fell out shortly after her parents divorced.

Personality: As mentioned before, she has depression and has had a rough past two years. She's pretty distant to most people, quite shy, but if you persist on trying to know her, she'll eventually open up as the happy-go-lucky girl she used to be. She absolutely LOVES learning new things, and is a whiz at most subjects. She is a talented and skilled potion brewer, and is showing great potential in spellcasting. She's extremely harsh when you get on her bad side, and she has quite the temper as well. Nevertheless, she will gladly help out struggling students with their homework as long as they don't annoy her too much.

Pet: Dun dun dun duuuunnnnn...a female phoenix named Psio!

...I think that was everything, phe-ew.]

(I'm not sure about that; just wait, demigod, your answer will come soon.)

Mia looked at the dwindling line for the Sorting Hat. 'Felicity, do you think they'll ever finish?'

'Well, I suppose they will, but then, you took a pretty long time too, what with the Sorting Hat debating over Slytherin and Ravenclaw.'

'Am I allowed to hope that no-one else shows an interest in me during my first year?'

'You are, but remember what your seer mother said; "You will grow to become a beautiful young maiden, with dozens of admirers, yet the one for you will be amongst them. Pick wisely, child."'

Mia scowled.'That gift of hers is what got her and my father killed in the first place, besides the fact they were pure-blood supremacists.'

'You can't pick your family.'

'I know, but sometimes I wish I could.'

crystal scratched behind sally's ear and the cat purred contently.
''this is the first time i've been able to voice like that... the purring! i think i'm going to like being a cat'' sally purred in crystal's mind.
she grinned and looked over at the slytherin table where tyson was.
''i did wish tyson was over here.... i want my best friend to hang out with..'' she muttered.
sally purred in amusement now.
''you like him don't you?'' sally asked and crystal looked down at her collie cat, her face a bright red.
''don't be silly sally...!'' she said, trying to keep her voice low.

(The thread is not dead, dearie, and therefore tis' not too late. All you have missed is the train ride and the boats. We are now at the Sorting. So Callisto is accepted into Hogwarts. And by the way of cursing the Sorting Hat, please not my character may make many attempts to stay away from her T.T)

[Yaaaaay, my name's right after Tezio's :3]

"Rinestone, Callisto!"

Callie stiffened at the sound of her name, her black hair instantly flaming up to a vibrant red as she walked up to the stool. "Good job, Cal. First day and everyone is already thinking you're a freak," She groaned inwardly.

On the bright side, Callie noticed her older cousin, Veronica, waving frantically at her from the Gryffindor table, her beautiful brown curls flashing into lush golden hair highlighted with pink. Callie felt her spirits lift slightly. Ronnie had been so guilty about the Animagus potion, she decided to share the burden with Callie. Callie inhaled deeply, her hair beginning to catch flames as she sat down and put on the Hat.

"Well, what do we have here? Another descendant of Maginius Rinestone!" The Hat thought to her, clearly knowing about the first rebel in her family, her great great grandfather.

"Let's just this over with," Callie thought with an inward sigh.

"And another impatient one...Ooohh, interesting...Clever, yes, but not too fond of riddles. That potion is absolutely marvelous...how does your hair even catch fire without burning anything?" The Hat thought back to her.

"Good Merlin, can't you just Sort me and get it over with?" Callie thought, becoming more and more irritated as she clearly heard the whispers in the Great Hall. ("Is she a Metamorphmagus, or something?" "No, that's the Rinestone kid who improved some potion. Tested it on herself, and ended up like that. It caused quite the scandal in the ministry, I'm telling ya!")

"Feisty, impulsive, reckless, and oh my, the loyalty...all the makings of a true Gryffindor...so much like Maginius! But wait! What's this...ah! The sly mind of a Slytherin...oh, you are a very naughty liar," The Hat continued to prattle on, "So be it then..."

"SLYTHERI-" Callie stopped him just before he finished shouting the word. "I swear on Maginius' grave that I will curse you to the depths of bloody hell if you even dare try putting me in Slytherin."

The Hat seemed to recoil from her. "True Slytherin alright...Such blackmail indeed..and oh, the knowledge of Dark Arts! Godric would be mortified, and Salazar so pleased! Are you sure you don't want Slytherin? Are you absolutely sure? Oh, alright then. Children these days. You would have been great in Slytherin...Very well, you stay true to Maginius' legacy. GRYFFINDOR!"

Callie climbed down from the chair, and with a subtle gesture, pressed a spark of flame against the Hat as she took it off. The Hat visibly shuddered, probably thinking some horrible insults for Callie, as the girl raced to the booming table of red and gold clad Gryffindor table.

Mia looked at Callisto with interest. 'Her hair color...interesting, as a result of the animagus potion, hmm? And nearly put in Slytherin..is it just me or does she share more than one similarity with me?'

'You can both change your forms and following your legacies in houses, since your mother was a Ravenclaw...perhaps you ought to meet her..' Felicity replied.

'Perhaps...'

Timmy sits down on the wooden bench, looking hungrily at the steak and dessert.

"There will be time to thank Mia later." says Timmy as he greedily stuffs his mouth with Mashed Potatoes.

(Evelyn, that's your cue)
Amanda waited as the Sorting Hat's voice bellowed through the halls with a shrill echo. "RAVENCLAW! GRYFFINDOR! SLYTHERIN! HUFFLEPUFF!" It screamed. She gave a mental dramatic-sigh, which Savage responded to. 'I thought I was supposed to be the impatient one.' Savage climbed up onto her head, peering around to the surroundings of the hall.

'Your so quiet, Amanda. Take a moment, dear, and look above. See the way those candle fires flicker? Let your mind go at peace...' Her familiar guided. Amanda wistfully rolled her eyes, and looked up at the floating candles. The fire wasn't fierce or dangerous, but it seemed calm and welcoming. 'I see.' Amanda purred mentally to her familiar, and ran her finger along the mouse's head. 'Hey--ow... Watch where your petting, next time, you almost hit me in the eye,' Savage complained. Amanda laughed lightly and continued watching the Sorting.

[TimTam.......food doesn't appear until after Sorting and after Headmaster/Headmistress' announcement/speech. Unless, you guys want to change that, that is.]

Callie tried to keep a low profile as the Sorting finished and Ronnie chattered away energetically. Her vibrant flaming hair easily stood out in the masses, and her glowing eyes scared off anyone who tried to take a good look at her. She easily spotted her father, who nodded at her in acknowledgement. Everything seemed to be sharper, stronger, and clearer. She buried her head in her hands for a moment before lifting it to scan her surroundings.

Groups of students, old and new, were clustered among the long House tables. Some were clearly familiar with each other, and probably good friends, but there were a few loners sitting by themselves. Callie reached down and felt around in her pocket for her friendship bracelet. Upon touching it, she was somewhat comforted and the claustrophobia went away.

"Hogwarts to Callie!" Ronnie yelled in her face, making Callie nearly fall off her chair. Her hands burst into flames, setting fire to the table she had been subconsciously holding on to.

Callie whipped out her wand immediately. Feeling the intricate design of the warm wood underneath her fingers, she almost thought she was back at home, practicing charms. She remembered one particular favorite she practiced all the time, much to her cousins' dismay. "Aguamenti!" She murmured, letting her hand move in the formation of the backwards curvy N.

A jet of clean, sparkling water shot out of her wand tip, dousing the fire and preventing any more damage. Ronnie let out a sigh of relief. "Good thing you're book-crazy and practice N.E.W.T. level Charms," The older girl said, playfully punching Callie on the shoulder.

[I dunno, there's a lot of changes in this RP. It's kinda pretty much at a point where Harry Potter's almost forgotten, I guess. Also, Evelyn, it's your character's time to get rushed in the Sorting chair by that strict teacher.]

[heh heh heh.... idea for the forth year X3 the yule ball! shall we do this on all of our character's fourth year? i think it would be cute <3 lol]

tyson was still really bored as he started poking the table with his fork again.
blaze on the other hand disappeared into the hallway to explore the school.

sally seen blaze leave the great hall and sighed.
''crystal i'll meet you in the gryffindor common room later.. i'm going to go see where that orange puffball is going....'' she grumbled and crystal nodded.
''just be careful sally..'' crystal whispered to her and looked back up and over to where the sorting hat continued sorting the first year's.
sally nodded and leaped out of her master's lap, then bounded after blaze.
