I am suggesting that we get a reward after referring a user.

I was thinking, each person you refer, gets you either
50000
or...
x50
or
x200 .

Or maybe a new special Pokemon? A new retro, or whatever - after referring a certain amount of users

But you will only receive this reward if the person you refer comes online often, and so the user will be active. (Perhaps reaching a specific game time)

The referrer could also receive 20000 for each badge the user gets, and maybe 20000 also when the user levels up.
This will be a quick way to gain more registered + active users on Pokeheroes, and a quick way to gain more Pokedollars.

(The user with the same IP Address will not receive anything. This would also include siblings I guess).

I believe when the site first opened, there was an event where you invited a certain number of people and got a red/yellow/blue flute, depending on how many people referred you when they joined.

It'll be a nice idea, but at the moment I'm neutral about this. >_<

yeah, there was an event like that lol

i'd support this if the person who referred other users only got their prize after the referred user got to a set amount of hours of activity on the site

this would both promote referrals, and prevent users from simply asking people to sign up with their link, only to have those people never be active on the site again

I like the idea of the certain amount of Game Time. And maybe one of the prizes could be a "Refer Pokemon" or something, so when you invite like 15 people on the site, you can claim the egg/pokemon. Suuuppoorttttt =P

I also support AutumStar's idea of frequent activity :P And about the "same IP" thing, what if someone get's their sibling to join and they share the same computer?

And also about the rewards, I think those are a bit unbalanced :p Small nuggets commonly go for 1k PD each, and I think it would be better if it was x5,000 or x5

we hope users would have the courtesy to not abuse a potential reward system, but hopefully the time requirement would deter people from doing that

(plus we have ways of watching that kind of thing, so...)

Support! I like the Small Nuggets idea, BUT the Nuggets should only be given after a specific amount of time that the user has been online, if they've gotten to a certain Trainer Level and if they don't use an IP Address that the Referred person uses. Otherwise, they'd just get PD. That's how I see it working.
